Thanks TYG, JW & Cam. He is still with us just so its still a waiting game

TYG, love the idea of turning the study into a grumpy man room might have to do one of those in my new house

Julie, hope the swtich to bottles isnt too sore for you x

juliewoolie · 14/12/2007 12:27

No no no ladies do not make a grumpy man room. Let them have the living room where they have to fight with children over the telly and PC. Turn the spare room/study into a ladies room, lovely comfy armchair your own telly with sky soft lighting, flowery wallpaper a speaker for your ipod. Obviously internet connection for mumsnet use. And a very big lock on the door.

Nice thread title, i want to be one

April sorry about your Grandad, love to you xx

Cam it bloody hurt but only for 3 days He is no different really, just poos more and it STINKS!!!!

Pebblemum · 14/12/2007 16:29

OMG Congratulations Sky Hope this isnt another of those contagious things because I definately do not need baby no4 lol although i must admit hearing the news did make me feel a bit . Its horrible thinking I wont be having any more, babies are so lovely and even though i moaned like hell in the final stages I enjoy being pregnant but at the same time im not brave enough to go for no4 (also we havent got the space, money etc and as in MKG's case 'my mum would kill me' lol)

These new little ones are going to have lots of surrogate Aunties and I agree with whoever came up with the idea of the rest of us helping you pregnant ladies out by eating all the horrible, fattening bad for you foods thus allowing you to stick to the healthy options. Right who's for chocolate cake

Oh LG&T I had my first ever KK yesterday. Made Dh take me to Tesco North Harbour just to get some. He was cursing me by the time we got home, we popped into Tesco's first and he ended up spending £50 on extra Christmas presents we didnt need and another £20 on crap. I then dragged him kicking and screaming into the KK shop and he spent £10 in there ( and he hates donuts so didnt buy any for himself They are worth every penny (especially when it wasnt me paying lol)

I went to watch Ethan's first Christmas Concert today, it was lovely but he decided he wasnt going to sing and instead just sat there biting his nails and bashing his tamborine. He has now got me putting up yet more decorations. I had decided to keep it simple this year because we wont be here for much of it and by the time we get back from Disney it will almost be time to put it all away again but he insisted our house looked bare compared to everyone elses and he had a point so here i am surrounded by yet more tinsel, lights etc hoping to get it done before Alana wakes for her tea. He also insisted on pulling a cracker each and Ive got my hat on so I hope no one knocks the door.

Am loving the idea of a private sanctury for us weary mums to hide unfortunately the only place i have spare is the shed and I dont fancy sitting out there in the cold no matter how much the kids and dh annoy me

cameroonmama · 14/12/2007 17:07

A bit of Christmas cheer here

AChristmasMeadow · 14/12/2007 18:50

that's fantastic Cam!!!!

cameroonmama · 14/12/2007 19:11

I thought it might make you chuckle.

barelymorethantwelvemonthgap · 14/12/2007 19:20

Julie - I think you're on to something! Woo hoo! Mind you... The Sky+ box is in the living room and that's the one I need, because I never get to watch any of my stuff when it's actually on. Hmmm...

MKG - I think my mum and DH's mum are going to be funny about us having another baby. It'll be all "ooh, are you sure." (Bit farking late now...)

Congratulations to TYG and Sky - someone mentioned your news on another thread! (I was due in April but had a May baby). I'll have to return to posting here once I go back to work and am ready to start ttc again.

On a less happy note, sorry AM to hear about your grandfather.

MKG · 15/12/2007 03:57

quick post to say that we have a first tooth over here.

Lupins71 · 15/12/2007 08:30

Cam thats great have just been in stitches

Funnily enough we are in the process of making a adult room, well a quiet non childen mess room, the dining room where dp currently has his pc is going to be a play room and dp is going in the spare bedroom which has been a bit of a junk room with the intention of sorting it out for Arlen, however i am sick if tidying up Willows clutter and now Arls has so many toys it is a tip in the living room esecially with the emormous xmas tree, so i spent most of last night bagging up spare room and today have to clear dining room, this does pose small issue if Arlen not getting a bedroom but as we dont plan on staying too much longer then its not too much of a problem

Going to be very stupid and go into Reading today with dc's will probably come home with migraine due to amout of people in town who have left it till the last minute to do thier shopping

Phoned up m&p to see about getting the right bit sent out and its a big job where i have to sent it off to them arghhhhhhhhhhhhh and they want £50, what more excuse do i need to get a new buggy just need to find something suitable and for the right price, if anyones bored my perfect buggy would be something small enough for the bus which all terrain wheels and a handbrake or be very light, must also lie fairly flat and i dont do red buggies!!

Have a good day all xx

StarlightStarbrightSKYTVtonite · 15/12/2007 08:33

Loving the thread title. Will have to keep DP and the DDS away for a while!! DP would probably kill me for telling and the DDs are far too aware! I think I will end up telling them sooner rather than later though as I am crap at secerets.

I am looking forward to a lovely catching up day today. The DDs are at their dads and DP is taking C to deliver xmas cards so god knows how long they will be out? Ages hopefully

I have a long list of jobs though which includes wrapping loads of pressies.

Regarding dropping bf C feeds in the night oncem first thing in the morning and during the morning. He has bottles at 2.15 (6oz) and bed time (7oz). Today I think we will be dropping the mid morning feed but he fed twice in the night and got up late so I don't really know when he will want it!

StarlightStarbrightSKYTVtonite · 15/12/2007 09:24

Sorry to hear about your grandad AM.

MKG - I am dreading telling my mum the news more than anyone else. I'll have to make sure DP is there then she won't say what she really thinks!

Loving the elf yourself cam. May have to have a go myself.

Really should be getting on with jobs.

largevirginbirthandtonic · 15/12/2007 12:25

cameroonmama · 15/12/2007 20:51
