Eeek, another one? Congratulations. Think I'd better stay off this thread for a few months and come back when I'm back at work in case it's contagious (that's when I want to start trying for another, and that seems crazy enough for me!)

Pebblemum · 20/12/2007 00:41

Congratulations!!!!

You all must be mad wanting to go through all that pain again lol

I have another day of waiting in tomorrow, my phone didnt turn up. I looked on the parceline website and it said that there was insufficient time to deliver it this was added at 1.13pm but I didnt see it until 4pm otherwise i could have gone out. Just hope it turns up early tomorrow so that i can get on.

AChristmasMeadow · 20/12/2007 08:27

Congrats Julie you are a mad brave clever lady Good old Take That. Maybe you should write to them and blame them

MrsJB....... bloody parcelforce/royalmail. I sent it on a courier as the post office told me it was too heavy to send in the regular post. Typical its the only service parcelforce do that isnt trackable I now have to queue up in the post office to speak to the one brain cell gang and find out what effing hell they have done with it. PF say that it must have gone RM as they have not scnning record of it being collected from the PO You might get it some time next year!

AChristmasMeadow · 20/12/2007 08:31

Ella has just started clapping her hands - how cute

Pebblemum · 20/12/2007 10:40

Oh well heres to another day stuck indoors waiting for my phone, have checked parceline and it is now on route but god knows where i am on the list

My parents came back from Cyprus last night and couldnt get in their car, it was too iced up lol. They've been walking about in shorts and having 4 course meals every day, they didnt want to come home to this horrible weather and normality, cant say i blame them, give me warmth and luxury any day!!!

Ive been trying to get a pic of Alana's toothy grin but she wont let me, keeps sticking her tongue out She now has her two front teeth at the bottom and boy can she bite down hard with them Ive got teeth marks all over my little finger, shes having a munch while i type

Oooh parceline have just turned up woohoo

barelymorethantwelvemonthgap · 20/12/2007 11:56

Hooray! Congratulations Julie.

AM - I'm really sorry about your granddad. When will the funeral be?

Re: Impetigo. DD1 had it once when she was about 2. I got (I think) Daktarin gel on prescription and it helped to clear it. You could ask DS to use separate towels etc until it clears as it's ridiculously contageous. DD1 passed it to her dad's girlfriend at the time, who didn't realise what the rash was (thought it was dry skin at first) and it spread to her eye. GP said she could have lost her eye! That's the worst case scenario of course, but it's worth being super vigilant and seeing a doctor to confirm that it's what we think.

I forgot to say, I had a private scan on Monday. They thought I was about 8+ weeks not 9, but there's a heartbeat so that's good. Haven't heard a peep from the hospital...

SOH - this is a bit weird. I had a dream about you and J and M last night. Dreamt you were living in Malta and we went to visit you and M was this age, but she was walking and she had cute little Start-Rite type shoes on.

AChristmasMeadow · 20/12/2007 12:49

The funeral is going to be on Fri 11th Jan. He gets 2 one in Coventry where he lives and then another when we will inter his ashes with my Nanna in Wales. My bro doesnt come back til NYE so we couldnt do it any earlier.

Great news on the scan.... when does that make you due?

oopswediditagain · 20/12/2007 13:26

TYG thats great glad you got in there early with the scan. I am going to see my GP tom so hopefully get one asap. Think I may be a bit more on than I initially thought didnt start feeling quesy with A until nearly 2 months and thats what prompted me to test as I felt so pukey.

Thank god your kitchen is almost done MrsJB hope you get some leccy soon.

Grr at the Royal Mail it does all f=go a bit tits up at this time of year.

Pebble glad you didnt have to wait in all day again.

AM try to enjoy the festive season my love.

I seriously have to curb my mumsnet addiction imagine how much time I spend on here with one lot of post natal to keep up with will never manage 2 groups maybe I will have to alternate days.

Pinkjenny · 20/12/2007 17:53

Congrats Julie - I am so

Mrs JB - I lurve Ruby and Millie. My present was gorgeous. Thanks SOH - the drawing gave it away! I knew you could embrace your pink fluffy side when pushed!

ShowOfHands · 20/12/2007 18:44

Don't have a pink fluffy side. I skinned a fraggle with malicious intent to acquire those hideous slippers. That amount of pink in my house almost killed me.

TYG- busted. I have in fact been in Malta for the last couple of weeks, hence the not posting. I'm a super model you see. Super sized model maybe. I was out there with my 12-strong entourage doing a shoot.

[liesbadly]

largevirginbirthandtonic · 20/12/2007 20:25

PMSL at you SOH. Sure M was eying the pinkness with glee DD was coaching her in all things sparkly and pink while she was here

TYG hooray for the baby leaping round inside, i cant believe you are pregnant again. It is only just sinking in for me gawd knows what it's like for you

We are packing and cleaning, boring. We leave tomorrow at Dawn (well 7am anyway). I wont be online for ages unless the in laws left the laptop for me >

Have a lovely Christmas one and all...

oopswediditagain · 20/12/2007 20:46

Lots of Christmas cheer to you and yours.

Mrsjollyballs · 20/12/2007 21:06

Have a fab Christmas lg&t, hope you have lots of fun and santa brings all you've asked for.

ShowOfHands · 20/12/2007 21:32
Pebblemum · 20/12/2007 22:35

LG&T hope you have a great Christmas, wonder if you will be the next on here with some happy news lol

TYG great news on the scan, helps make it seem more real when you see the LO's on screen

Well my new phone is great, well worth the wait. DH has now decided he wants the same one last time we had the same phones he kept taking mine to work by mistake. Next he will be wanting matching undies lol

I thought I had finished all my Christmas shopping (my dads cd turned up today) but my neighbour has just informed me that Curry's are selling their toys off cheap, they are no longer going to be stocking them. The Homersapien and Spidersapien have been reduced from £50 to £15 E would love one (he was looking at the smaller versions in Argos the other day) so I may see if Dh wants to pop in there on his way to work tomorrow.

Took J into a chemist about his sore lip and came away with some lovely Iodine cream. The pharmacist doesnt think its Impetigo or anything else sinister but the cream will help prevent it from getting worse. The only problem is the cream is the colour of blood and when J puts it on it looks as if hes been hit in the mouth, we have also been warned it may make his skin turn a bit brown while he is using it but he is already brown so I doubt if it will notice much. Funnily enough his friend at school has the same mark on her mouth but he denies kissing her lol

camerYULEmama · 20/12/2007 22:38

Hey Julie, great news! How exciting. Two under two is a doddle I'm sure, just wait till they are 2.5 and 3.5 now THAT's going to be a challenge

LG&T have a fabby time, Merry Christmas with plenty of Gin presents and fun.. and if you are passing my way or going towards Exeter do let me know, April has my number. It would be lovely to give you Beau one last snuggle before we are away.

ShowOfHands · 21/12/2007 17:58

Tam's back, Tam's back, Tam's back... I saw her. She's been Abroad, naughty thing.

Tilda Mums of the world unite.

Tam, when you get here, did you hear about the death of Robert Jordan?

ShowOfHands · 21/12/2007 17:59

Oh and Cam, all flights between here and The Other Place have been cancelled. I'm afraid you can't go. DH will have to demote himself and become a baker or something. You're staying.

cinnamontam · 21/12/2007 18:19

Ladies - oh how I've missed you all. Big apologies for just disappearing. Had to go to Oz suddenly as grandparents very unwell and stayed for a couple of months. Tild and I have just got back. Bumped into SOH on another thread and she made me realise how much I've missed being part of the May 07 thread.

I haven't read a thing but will try to do a bit of back reading to see what everyone is doing. However did I hear that some of you are preggers again!!! Fantastic news

Tild is fantastic. First tooth this morning, still mainly on the boob but chowing through various fruit and vegies 3 times a day. Still sleeping with us which I love. Have posted a couple of more recent pics. Look forward to catching up with you all

Tam

ShowOfHands · 21/12/2007 18:34

Oh by God it's good to have you back lovely. Sorry to hear about your grandparents.

Your little Tilda is beautiful. My not so litle Tilda (all 24lb of her) is still sleeping in with us, mainly bf apart from a few veggies and a CD insert card thing and has bugger all teeth despite having been teething for 3 years.

Lupins71 · 21/12/2007 18:44

Good evening all

JW congratulations, cant believe another one of us is brave enough to go through it again

My grandad passed away yesterday, he was 86 and had just got out of hospital about a week ago and he had a heart attack at about 6 in the evening, I think it will be a relief for him he had seemed to loose the will to live last few months

Just been and got the bulk of xmas food shopping - do you know that Morrisons do a proper (well) alchohol free champers so I thought I would give it a go will probably be vile oh well at least I can look like Im getting pickled

Looks like I may be owning a quinny freestyle yippieeeeee, a lady on certain other parenting sight has one for sale, cant wait - I currently have no buggy to go to portsmouth tomorrow with dp still hasnt fixed my puncture - anyone know how i do it might do it myself!!

Arlen has horrible cough, I had him in bed with us this morning I fell back to sleep, I always have him on my side of the bed as I worry about him overjeating, dd had very very bad febrile convultion from overheating so it is always on my mind when they are in bed with us, and usually i dont fall back to sleep BUT this morning I did and there was a thud followed by lots of crying oooopppppssss poor little mite had rolled out and fallen on the floor

Ahhhh bless he has just fallen asleep mid play, this cold is really taking it out of him, better put him to bed, will be back later to catch up properly

Hope everyone is ok

ShowOfHands · 21/12/2007 18:53

Lupins, I am so sorry to hear about your grandad.

DH is designated puncture fix it man in this house. How is your dp now after all the upheavals and unhappiness? And how are you? What happened with your decisions about hysterectomy, tied tubes etc?

Poor Arlen. When M had a cold she just fell asleep all over the place. Hope he's better soon. Is W very excited about Christmas?

AChristmasMeadow · 21/12/2007 19:00

Hey Tam great to have you back on the thread. Sorry to here that your Grandparents have been poorly. I bet it was nice to be back home for a bit tho. Tilda looks very scrummy

Lups, so sorry to hear about your Grandad. I know what you are going through. It sucks that it's so close to Xmas as well.

Pebble, glad you got your phone. I have a new one and whilst it is very lovely i cant get it to work with my car which is very annoying as i try to call people when driving and cant at present.

SOH, how's things? Did you get my parcel?

ShowOfHands · 21/12/2007 19:04

Royal Mail, especially for Christmas have not delivered to us for 2 weeks. Postie had a gardening accident apparently! We had a note through the door today saying they have some stuff for us at the sorting office to collect. Am excited now, a parcel you naughty thing. You really shouldn't have.

How are you now? I was thinking about you this morning (was clapping pat-a-cake and remembering Ella claps now- v sweet!) and hoping you are as well as can be expected.

AChristmasMeadow · 21/12/2007 19:16

It's only something small for M.
Doing ok thanks. All arrangements have been made so at least we know what's happening when.
