Morning all

So tired...ill...DH is ill, DS is ill....
DH has conjunctivitis, a cough, a cold. DS has conjunctivitis, a cough, D&V.
I have a sore throat and you know it's only day 1 of about 4 shitty days.

Was really good to meet up with Jammy and Bumber yesterday. Bumper looking as glam and skinny as ever....biyatch

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 13/12/2007 06:24

sh$t-f%ck-ar&e-b&m-w@nk-t$ts-bllcks!

DD woke at 1 and 4, taking an age to settle the second time. At 5.15ish we both came to and realised she'd been crying for "a while", I was just too tired at that point to get up (bad mummy ), DH went and got her, she wouldn't settle in our bed even, we had a big row, she screamed even more and at 5.30 I came downstairs with her. What a fab start to the day

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 13/12/2007 06:32

Morning Fury. Good to see you yesterday. Shame about the illness in the Fury household. I've been coughing up goo this morning (nice, sorry if TMI) so can sympathise

HellHathNoFury · 13/12/2007 06:42

ack Jammy you poor thing.
I don't know what causes all this night waking... boredom? pain? hunger? who knows.

My mum said that I didn't sleep through the night til I was 2 1/2. She said she was ready to kill me and even took me to the GP asking for valium. For me, not her!

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 13/12/2007 08:23

poor Jammy and Fury.....done the D&V and cold bit this week so {{{hugs}}}

Is DD ok now Jammy? Asleep probably? Do you know why she got so upset....is it her teeth?

I'm knackered as well....DD kept me awake with intermittent crying for dummy, snoring and bad cough.....loads of snot again this morning. Its like glue - disgusting....and she wipes her face all over my chest to get rid of it but screams the place down if I try to

Bloody freezing here again today....chances of getting into town are diminishing.....

HellHathNoFury · 13/12/2007 08:51

Oh dear Norty DD really is in the wars isn't she? If you need to call off Monday I do understand!

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 13/12/2007 09:01

See how we go Fury - I'd really like to meet....but it doesn't sound like your lot are too good either....its that time of year isn't it?

BadZelda · 13/12/2007 09:09

Fury: conjunctivitus is highly infectious - I suggest you keep house arrest for the moment.

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 13/12/2007 09:23

Well after doing a houmunger-sized poo DD settled down and we went back to bed until 9 oclock. Good job DH is working from home today as he slept until then too . He is at home, and taking time off this pm, so I can go on my work's Xmas lunch do.

WewishyouaBUMPERLICIOUS · 13/12/2007 09:33

morning all, not sticking around as feeling very overwhelmed at everything I have to do. My flat is a shit tip. having a small party tonight. need to make mince pies. got no nappies in as DH was supposed to get some yesterday then thought he would wait as we were going shopping then neglected to tell me that!

Had a lovely day with fury and jammy yesterday. the babies were v good, but poor baby fury is a bit under the weather Was knackered as left the house at 8.30 to walk to the station, and didn't get home after food shopping til 8pm! and was wearing stupid boots so feet hurt! suprisingly good train ride home, was packed full and stuck in the corridor but a women waved at me though the door and offered me and DD her seat (no, none of the men offered!) and another women sat in the corridor and looked after my pushchair (fucking quinny doesn't go through the internal train doors!).

Hope all is well with you all. Norty and fury hope your LOs feel better soon. Jammy enjoy your xmas meal.

Thanks for the compliment fury, i looked shit by the end of the day wanting to cry coz I was soooo tired and my feet hurt

BadZelda · 13/12/2007 09:45

Glad you made it home bumper. It's always women who give seats isn't it?

Sorry to hear about sleepless nights around...LO woke up a couple of times as it was the first full day that DH has been looking after both DCs and DD2 only had 1.5 oz of milk and he forgot to give her any solids...poor wee mite was starving by 4pm when I came back. Very worried about going back to work on the 7th if she's not taking more than that from a bottle, but I suppose 1.5 oz is better than nothing...

Daisy - good to hear that you're making progress on getting off the ADs....wondering now if I should have had a go on those over the last few months... Still I've survived I guess!

Thanks to my lovely SS who has sent some luscious organic bath / shower stuff - will be perfect for swimming as they came in cute little bottles. Hmmm newcastle...have my suspicions!!
Finally got around to buying mine yesterday (have had plan for a while, but no time to get them) so hopefully I will manage to get them in the post today!

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 13/12/2007 10:04

"forgot to give her solids"........what is it about men...when my DD wasn't well with D&V in the week, I went to have a bath and when I got downstairs DH said to me "oh never thought to check her bum....wondered what the smell was....thought it was the dog"........now you know why I was washing 6 outfits a day

Glad to report a nice solid poo from DD just now ....wish the snot would go the same way....

Blimey Bumper, sounds like a knackering day...

Sputnik · 13/12/2007 10:46

Does anyone have healthy children atm? Mine have colds and both woke up screaming at some point in the night...

Norty if your DD doesn't like her nose wiped with tissues have you tried a sponge and warm water?

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 13/12/2007 11:45

Oh dear, it does sound as if everyone is suffering - unwell mums, DP's and DC's, not to mention Bumper's sore feet. Mine are too. Sending virtual lemsip, hot honey and lemon, calpol, teething granules and foot rubs.

DD has, thankfully, gone back to nursery this morning, although there were a lot of tears when we went in. The offer of a lap and a christmas story with one of the lovely assistants helped, thank goodness.

Right, off to hoist poor DS out of his cot and back out into the cold to collect DD - he does get dragged around, poor mite.

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 13/12/2007 11:53

I mean my DCs are ill, not my feet are sore!

I've just re-read my post and just wanted to make it clear that I wasn't being flippant - "ill Mums" needing lemsip is referring to us, not to Daisy's Mum who I know is very poorly. I hope that makes sense (I'm off now to keep digging my hole)

annobalthebignosereindeer · 13/12/2007 13:34

sounds like everyone's having a rough time at the moment.

I had a really rough night as well. I had DS2 up about 5 times and DS3 up 3 times - of course not at the same time... So I feel really rough and just feel like crying today. To make matters worse DS1 is at home sick and won't let me leave his side and DS3 is refusing to go to sleep. DH isn't home til late with Christmas stuff.

OK, moan over. Think I'll be lurking today. Just being self-indulgent today.

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 13/12/2007 13:51

fairy.....no need to apologise I read it as "us" all being ill!

and I am too I was feeling really queasy all evening, went to bed at half ten and just couldn't get warm. After two hours of shivering/teeth chattering so hard I actually bit my tongue I was violently sick . I threw up in my hands on the way to the loo, then it was so forceful it was coming out my nose, and i weed myself at the same time . I then shivered uncontrollably for another two hours (under a duvet on the sofa with pjs, fleece jumper and socks and the fire on) before being sick again. I ended up phoning DH to come home at 2 o'clock this morning to deal with the kids.

I've been sleeping all morning, and still feel like I'm gonna chuck any minute. and poor dh is looking a bit tired, but bless him for coming to the rescue.

and i was supposed to be finishing my christmas shopping today and sorting out everything that needs to be posted.

My DCs ar both chipper though
