i was just embaressed that I'd got cross and raised my voice to the head of dept, especially as it was in public

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 14/12/2007 16:43

OOOHhhh Bumper...when you get as old as me, you'll realise that comfort is SO important rather than what they look like ....I got some nice boots from Next this year....I've been wearing them all day and I'm not moaning about my feet yet!!

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 14/12/2007 16:44

I've just spoken to DH again....when I called him to tell him about the coat and bag he was really busy and distracted and had said "order what you like". He has only just realised what he said, but oooops too late

and stone the blardy crows; I've just had a call from my HV asking how things are since she hasn't seen me at clinic for a while (I was there last Wednesday and the wed before that, but she wasn't...). It's the first time she has contacted me since DD was ten days old!!!

DD has now collapsed asleep on my knee and is slumped over my shoulder. I daren't put her down as I know she'll just wake up.

annobal, all i can see on your links are bright red, patent leather DMs......i can just picture you now

jammy I'd be annoyed as well. If they don't include you in the pay reviews you can get them for discrimination!

I didn't get mine when i was off on leave either, but i know that our secretary who was off on ML the previous year did

I'm trying to word my letter to the, about coming back to work part time at the moment. I've decided to tell tham I'll be back, but am taking all my accrued leave (nearly 7 weeks including public), than three weeks in handing in my notice. I don't care any more if I piss them off.....either that or get signed off due to the PND, then at least I'll have some money coming in.

Oh, I'll get included in this evaluation, but they are currently saying that if I don't complete the questionnaire on time, I'll have a generic one submitted and you can't appeal if you don't like the outsome if you've submitted a generic questionnaire

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 14/12/2007 17:05

hardly fair that. Can you request a "keeping in touch day" so you can go in and deal with it?

OP posts:
TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 14/12/2007 17:43

Oh, I got my blood test results back....everything normal apparently.

So, I need to find another reason that I'm tired all the time with aching joints, trouble remembering my own name, to feed the cat/fish/gerbils/DCs, to lock the house or switch off gas and electric appliances as well as regular dizzy spells.

Oh yeah, I had a baby

Sorry Bumper, it is the Timberland ones (the link takes you through to the website) - Lexiss and Charles St lace.

Jammy, that sounds pretty reasonable. How did she respond?

annobalthebignosereindeer · 14/12/2007 19:06

LOL Daisy - 15 years ago maybe...

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 14/12/2007 19:09

annobal I remember the days of my cherry red 12 holers fondly and well...

DD napped for ages and is now full of beans. I had to rescue her from under the sofa when I was cooking my tea!

annobalthebignosereindeer · 14/12/2007 19:15

Aww how cute!

All DCs in bed. I tried the TB sleep method and after about 15 mins DS3 calmed down and I went out the room. DH is at his Chrissy party tonight so sex in the city is on. Just contemplating dinner - think it might be pasta tonight.

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 14/12/2007 19:34

I've just had a call from my sister, it looks like mum is going downhill very rapidly.

So, we're off to get the kids in their jammies and then head up there. shitey shitey shite

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 14/12/2007 19:43

Oh Daisy, Im sorry. Drive carefully. I;m sure we'll all be thinking of you.

Everyone else, hello! I'm v jealous of all the lovely boots everyone is contemplating. My clodhoppers are a size 9 (43) and I never seem to be able to get any decent ones

My DH is at his christmas lunch, and told me not to expect him home before the last train at the earliest {fhmm}, I remember those days.....

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 14/12/2007 19:45

Big hugs Daisy. Take care.

justbeme · 14/12/2007 20:00

foxythesnowman · 14/12/2007 20:16

{{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}} for Daisy. Thinking of you xxx

BadZelda · 14/12/2007 21:19

{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}} from me too daisy.

Hope everyone else is well? Looks like you've been talking about napping and boots today? I went on a shoe shop on wednesday and got 3 lovely pairs for 40 quid: result. (in between christmas shopping)
No crawling here either - or even any movement at all really, after some early rolling. Maybe because I spend TOOOOO much time cuddling her

Sputnik · 14/12/2007 21:28

Daisy, will be thinking of you and your Mum. Take care.

Sputnik · 14/12/2007 21:42

Have to admit to the Boden sale here too, got DD's next year's winter coat, a dress and, erm, 1 or 2 other things . I like their kid's clothes, you can wash stuff a zillion times and it still looks good. Plus it has good resale value on ebay
I ordered stuff in last year's sale too and it did arrive for xmas.

justbeme · 14/12/2007 22:09

Poor old Chloes gone back into hospital

here

HellHathNoFury · 15/12/2007 07:48

Daisy so sorry to hear about your poor mum.
Thinking of you here x

Things Chez Fury not been so good last few days. Am staying with my folks in essex - I have 2 foster brothers, their 18 year old sister died during the week. My poor mum was devastated, she had a really good relationship with the young girl. She fought very hard to come back from an abusive childhood and just got a job and a little flat, my mum was like a mum to her. The boys came home from the hospital in aberdeen yesterday and one of them had a rage episode and trashed the house.

I am also putting my dog up for rehoming in the next few days. I am really uset
