Jas · 24/12/2007 22:58

I'm still waitin for dd2 to go o sleep. Can't put presents in in the morning, in case (as usually happens) they wake up before me.

CantSleighWontSleigh · 24/12/2007 23:01

Oh dear .

CantSleighWontSleigh · 24/12/2007 23:02

Got ds1 off just before 10 in the end.

Jas · 24/12/2007 23:06

She's the one that usually drops off first.

DS is no longe getting a sleep during the day more thn 1 hour twice a week, so h is going to sleep at night better a least.

OP posts:
PhoeNixYouAMerryChristmas · 25/12/2007 05:30

Aaaarrrrgggghhhh I'm like a big bloody kid. I've been awake since 3am so eventually got up at 4.30 cos i just couldn't get back to sleep. Ds and dh (and the dog) are still asleep. I've just been in bath and i'm gonna put all pressies out in a bit.

Hope everyone has a good day and gets loads of nice pressies

PhoeNixYouAMerryChristmas · 25/12/2007 06:16

Dh is up now, he's had the dog out on a walk and is now doing bacon and egg butties while we wait for ds to wake up

FlamesparodyOfAChristmasName · 25/12/2007 13:27

So............. started throwing up about 9pm last night Carried on for most of the night and slept the majority of it on the bathroom floor (tis cool and near the loo). DH slept in with DS who wouldn't settle.

DD slept til 8.20am We gave her cough meds before bed and I think they knocked her out.

I have been wobbly all morning, finally feeling more human again. Turkey was off Luckily we had a cook from frozen pork thingy in the freezer.

Most loved gifts of the day:

DS - Bumblebee slippers

DD - Care bear lunch box that cost fifteen pounds more a tad more than I expected. Well worth every penny having seen her face.

Going to mum's in a bit so all that is subject to change when they see the wonders from Gran and Auntie Sparrow.

CantSleighWontSleigh · 25/12/2007 16:08

for being sick flame. Thanks for text .

Chaotic here .
Few tantrums (mostly ds1), few accidents (mostly dd), few breakages (dd and ds2), lots of food (everyone except the kids!), lots of presents (not all opened yet), and lots of now knackered grown ups!

In-laws still here, so better go and be sociable. Back later.

Hope everyone is having a good one.

CantSleighWontSleigh · 25/12/2007 16:13

Oh, and mrm is very pissed off with Mrmrm because he forgot to bring her Christmas card with him.

FlamesparodyOfAChristmasName · 25/12/2007 20:07

Oops - bad MrMRM

DH is now being ill noisily. I am trying to have sympathy as he could well be ill, but 3 years running now he magically manages to get ill at the time when we go to my mum's for Christmas tea to leave me to deal with the kids alone.

EachPeachPearMum · 25/12/2007 21:17

Well- you can't say he's faking it, as you had it first! Hope you all feel better soon.

Had a lovely day- dd had great fun, though ate less christmas dinner than last year! Kept asking for yoghurt this time! She still has plenty of presents to open- she was just enjoying playing with each one so much, didn't want to spoil her fun and overwhelm her.

Can't believe you were up so early Phoenix!!!
dd had a scream at 4am, but then settled back down until 8:50, so we had to dash around to go pick up MIL for 9:30.

dd was so pleased and happy with her stocking- don't think she was really prepared to have any other presents when we came downstairs.

Next year is going to be crazy- once there is the anticipation part too....

EachPeachPearMum · 25/12/2007 21:30

What was MrCSWS's present then????

CantSleighWontSleigh · 25/12/2007 21:53

Teeth whitening .

CantSleighWontSleigh · 25/12/2007 21:55

As well as books, dvd, cycling shorts, cycling gloves.

EachPeachPearMum · 25/12/2007 22:43

As in a course of.... rather than a 'here's a tube of whitener'...?

EachPeachPearMum · 25/12/2007 22:44

Well- I bet he didn't guess it!

I got dh tickets to The Magic Flute... poncey I know, but it is christmas! And he has been dying to see it since he first started listening to it....

CantSleighWontSleigh · 25/12/2007 22:47

Oh tickets somewhere are always a good present, as long as babysitting is also arranged!

Laser whitening treatment. 3 applications. All done within an hour.

EachPeachPearMum · 25/12/2007 23:00

Yes- I had checked MIL was free, as we gave her tickets too! Of course, I get to see magic flute too though

Wow- didnt know they could do that by laser! Do they do eyes at the same time?

FlamesparodyOfAChristmasName · 26/12/2007 09:19

Ooh believe me, it is just lots of groaning rather than any physical signs I dunno, this year is most likely real, the last two I am less convinced by so am just bitter.

Up with DD most of last night, completely exhausted and all out of love and festive spirit.

@ teeth whitening.

Friz - DH says thank you for the serenity hunt

I got notice boards! And PINS. A gift to make MRM proud . I had been whinging for ages that once I was all set up with my desk in the corner, I wanted a notice board.

CantSleighWontSleigh · 26/12/2007 15:19

The mrm's have left the building!
We didn't even have chance to challenge them to a game of triv!

Poor mrm was a bit poorly yesterday afternoon/evening. Must have been bad, as she even turned down Baileys! Poss the same bug as you flame, as it was short lived.

Dd is now sleeping in her bed. And I do mean bed and not cot now, as we switched it over this morning due to her having a nasty fall from the top of the cot yesterday. Have fed her to sleep this time, so will be interesting to see how we get on at bedtime, when I normally put her down awake. Have left her in her grobag though, until she gets used to the duvet through daytime play. Was v cute with all 3 of them lying in it earlier, but sadly we didn't have the camera to hand.

So, is everyone still doing festivities? We have in-laws (and their friends) to visit on Friday, and a birthday party (must remember I still need presents!) to go to on Saturday, but otherwise not a lot planned. Will prob do a zoo visit one day and some other nice stuff, as dh isn't back at work til the 7th. Hopefully will be nice to have some family time.

mrm - thank you again for all the lovely presents that you brought, and hope that you had a good time. Also hope that dh enjoyed it despite being on duty with the boys a lot!

CantSleighWontSleigh · 26/12/2007 15:20

Were you up with dd being ill flame, or just with her not wanting to sleep after her lie in?

Phoenix · 26/12/2007 17:07

Hello

Ds was really loving opening all his presents yesterday he was so excited (2 pics on my profile). He loved his rocking horse, well he loved talking to it and stroking it he isn't very keen on sitting on it yet lol.

Ooops i'm not watching him while i'm on here and just looked up and he's tipped both tubs of mega bloks out onto the floor

He didn't eat any christmas dinner yesterday or much else and think we know the reason for that now he attempted to do a poo today and was crying with pain and when i changed his nappy it was rock hard It was like that as well today but seems to be softening now (sorry tmi)

Christmas is over for me now though its my birthday tomorrow and i'm back at work too I'll not be happy if anyone wraps my birthday presents in left over christmas paper or gives me a card that says 'for your December birthday' with christmas pictures on it.

for been i'll Flame and mrm.

Hope dd settles in her bed tonight csws. for nasty fall out of cot. Ds never attempts to climb in or out of his cot, he can't in his grobag anyway but even when he isn't in it he can't do it.

Hope everyone has had a lovely christmas

mustrunmorewantsanewname · 26/12/2007 19:35

Flame gave me some ill vibes ! Who knows what is was reall. Not overeating, as I didnt go too mad, despite a meal for 5000 on the table (csws is a fab cook!), not a bug as it wasnt even a 24hr thing. A mystery. I did do alot of deep breathing durinf Dr Who, to stop h nausea, so am hoping the csws's didnt think I was just in a mood!!

Yep, dh loved it , thanks. I was a bit mean to him wasnt I? But I never get days off from the boys, so I'm bound to take advantage. And it was his family time you know. He's supposed to do Daddy-bonding with them.

What time did we get home? Because we spent 20mins geting sorted, then the boys attacked the rest of their pressies and only finished at 6pm Now trying to work out a toy rearrangment to get best fit in their room/front room

I got new grapefruit spoons from my Mum . And a set of spud/veg/mushroom bags
I also got even more toiletries! Our bathroom looks like the scond floor of John Lewis now

Csws bought me BAILEYS Hurray!
That puzzle for ds2 is hard you know!! Me and ds1 took a while to suss it out you know And ds1's piratey craft is put up for a non-ds2 evening. He wanted to do it tonight, but no chance! So he's watching Roger and the Rottentrolls while I clear up and do this!

Thanks you so mucgh again for hsving us csws's.It rteally really made ds1's xmas, even if he was a little shit at various points. Apparently he wants to come and live with you I'm glad your pressies were acceptable; they were the hardest ones to decide on you know!
