Oh, and he knows We Will Rock You, but sings using 'doo-dah-doo-dah-doo-dah'

FlamesparodyOfAChristmasName · 19/12/2007 11:29

Tha is even more ewwwwwwwwww than if it was his mum's when his sister was tiny!

"I did it" is the only clear thing we have really (except for "What?" )

My dad has just come and collected toddler bed, my cot (to use then go in his loft), and brought the big chest from my granddad's house... and paid me twice as much as I had asked for for the toddler bed

WeFrizYouaMerryChristmas · 19/12/2007 16:58

Flame yay!

MRM lol at that angle! Jas apparently you can get several differnt types and a gorgous array of creams, I now have 3 types, one for my eyelids (sigh) one for my hands, which has done the job in virtually 24 hrs flat, why this wasn't perscribed weeks ago I have no idea and boring old diprobase for my symbol!! lol

EEPM eeeeekkkk at Spider! dd2 is doing random words here, like 'floor' when she pulls decorations down onto it and 'edge' when she is standing on the side of the pool ready to jump in at swim class

CSWS did you really post your dd to Flame

Oh Phoenix I'll just say I hate you now then dd2 got everyone up at 5.30 this am at your 8.30.

WeFrizYouaMerryChristmas · 19/12/2007 17:04

dd2 just said poo again, we went to the loo, she said done, I said, there's now't in there, she looked at me like I was a looney, so I wiped, and lol there it was stuck to her bum so glad I can share these things on here!!

Been to Toy Libray Xmas party this avo, lots of fun had by all I think, we have stuck glitter on all sorts of things, eaten food, passed the parcel and been visted by Santa

damewashalot · 19/12/2007 17:29

Hello, [waves madly at every one to make sure they recognise me as have been hiding of late]

So.............. 15 weeeks pg, starting to show so going for being positive and saying was all just 'one of those things' as worrying won't help. Have told mum and 1 rl friend and will tell dc soon.

Off to have a quick scan of thread.

Jas · 19/12/2007 17:45

Hello Dame Stay and chat with us if you aren't ready for antenatal threads yet.
I did' tell the dds till about 16 weeks. Once they know there is no keeping i a secret! I guess he bleeding has sopped and you just have to "not worry" now (impossible I know)

Good to hear lots of non-talking children stories Most of the rl children I know of his age are talking loads, so I need reminding that there is a huge sperum of normal.

REally pulling eeew faces at the bm custard

I've finished every single bit of Chrismas shopping, school has finished and I intend to chill ou and do nothing omorrow.

damewashalot · 19/12/2007 17:54

Have scanned and retained very little
Talking we don't do much of, animal sounds, cars, fire engines that sort of thing yes. Fave words floor, mostly if he fell on it or dropped something ( friz mentioned floor) "det down" "more" and since the tree went up "wow" and "tree"

He never stops what he's doing at the first no, but then his brothers don't often either

damewashalot · 19/12/2007 18:01

Yes Jas, bleeding has stayed stopped so am trying not to worry Friend got really excited which was nice as i missed the getting excited bit at the beginning, starting to feel more real, parents think we are mad but grinned a lot.
Not disappearing to ante natal thread will stick around here

Have been feeling sorry for myself this week, rotten cold and cough ds3 seems to be starting with it now

Jas · 19/12/2007 18:57

It won't be ong il you start feeling movements, then youcangt excited

Everyone except me is ill here.DS fell asleep on the sofa a 6 I woke him to change him and pu him strigh to bed, so now he is playing in the cot.

We lost the back door key yesterday, and today dp cut through it and went to the locksmith for a new lock after I almost gutted the entire kitche looking for it. He got a parking ticket ouside the locksmiths So it is a very expensive lock

CantSleighWontSleigh · 19/12/2007 19:04

Yuk at custard.

Yay for all being well with dame.

Won't be on til much later now, as travelling back home at dd's bedtime tonight.

mustrunmorewantsanewname · 19/12/2007 21:50

Well, if you think thats bad, did I ever tell you how his mum cooked his pet rabbit and fed it to him when hewas a boy?

Bad parent alert.... boys got in at 8.15 tonight, and its taken till now to get them both to sleep (ds1 being the prob as he fell asleep on the bus. For 20 mins. On the top deck, so I had to carry him down while itwas moving, in high heels!)

No aerobics tday, becuase I couodnt bear to leav ds2 with my friend after he cried so much at beobg left with my Dad See, I so have an inkling of maternal fee;ing in me somewhere!

Jas · 19/12/2007 22:06

I don't think I could eat anything she ever cooked knowing that!

mustrunmorewantsanewname · 19/12/2007 22:21

REmember she's the one that complains about my cooking every time she comes

Just seen tht dl did a movie compatibility quiz on facebook , the day before the big row, and it came out as 'best friends'

Jas · 19/12/2007 22:33

Kowing what you've told us abou her cooking, I reall wouldn' try too hard.

Please take dl off your friends list for a bit

TEUCHywithallthetrimmings · 19/12/2007 23:26

evening ladies - just a quick one before bed!

at teh EBM custard - as some would say that really gie's me the boke!!

Today DS kept saying 'Hok shoo, mummy' when we were playing sleeps instead of making the bed...I finally worked out he wanted me to pretend I was snoring!!

(Go on - try it! You inhale on the 'Hok' and exhale slowly on the 'shooooooooo')

CantSleighWontSleigh · 19/12/2007 23:49

Back home. Freezing cold. House is a tip. Out all morning and have friends round in the afternoon. Oh dear.

Dd does a fab snoring impression, but then I am married to one of the world's worst snorers!

damewashalot · 20/12/2007 07:22

So where as everyone gone?

seems a little quiet on here people aren't off having lives are they???????

I have a poorly boy, hot and snotty and clingy with a squeaky chest poor boy, i have felt rotten all week and looks like he has my germs.

mustrunmorewantsanewname · 20/12/2007 09:11

Nope, I cant take him off. That'd be too final, and I'd be the one sealing the coffin so to speak.

Taking ds1 for another eye test today, to see if theyt can confirm the suspected colourblindness this time. Promised him the park after, but it totally whitwe outside

WeFrizYouaMerryChristmas · 20/12/2007 09:14

Dame for your poorly boy, but for you being 15 weeks, bet you its a girl and lol at our twin 'floor' toddlers.

CSWS Yay for being home and for the cleaning that apparently needs doing, where's the cleaning fairy when you want one eh?

Phoenix, so that's what you sound like to ds then eh

Jas for the lock and key indcident and for poorly kids too, have a great day doing nothing

Great weather for Rudolph here today dd1 keeps looking to see if she can see him doing his test flights! When my childsitting arrives eventually (mother running late) I shall be off to work (dh already there) will be a manic few days, as people are starting to panic buy!

WeFrizYouaMerryChristmas · 20/12/2007 09:15

sorry Phoenix it was Teuch with the snoring! I am awake, honest...... dd2 5.30am today..........then dd1 yelling at 6am, mummy, get her out of my bed!! still at least dd1 had a dry night, so blessing there that dd2 woke her in time for the loo!

WeFrizYouaMerryChristmas · 20/12/2007 09:16

{{{{{hugs}}} MRM

Jas · 20/12/2007 09:23

mrm

My friends ds is very colour blind, and he wasf ive before an optician would confirm it, despite the fact that alot of colours are describd by him as grey.

The dds got upand watched tv this morning and I gotto stay inbed til 9 DP has some actual paid work this week(at last)so I had the whole bed o myself.

Jas · 20/12/2007 09:42

I gave my treasure hunt clues o dp (slightly drunk at the time) and he couldn't do them Are hey really too hard/easy for 4-9 yr olds[[http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/1375/443254?rnd=1198143517870 ????]

Jas · 20/12/2007 09:42

Ooops

PhoeNixYouAMerryChristmas · 20/12/2007 09:44

I've just been to the docs cos i've been bleeding on and off for weeks so thought i'd better get myself sorted, anyway i told the doc and he's given tablets but having read the leaflet the tablets are for heavy bleeding. Not sure if he heard me wrong or if they will actually stop the bleeding

He also said there was a note on the computer that i was due a smear test and went on to scare me to death tell me about a 34 year old patient of his who had cervical cancer which spread all through her body and she died.

Dame - for 15 weeks
