talk about never raining but pouring! i could well do with some of it not happening then.

anyway, off for a nap as jacob is snoozing

Hi all

Happy B'Day Annie . Will be having a drink in a mo as it looks like I have been conned out of £399 on Ebay for the PS3 I thought I was buying. Trying to take the decos down but Emma is driving me mad-mad, I say!

Better go before I throttle her. Back later.

santaspregnantlittlehelper · 03/01/2008 17:44

HC you poor thing - have you def been conned?

ImpyChica · 03/01/2008 18:56

Happy Birthday Annie!!! Hope you get spoiled - you deserve it (esp with all the sleep deprivation..!)

So sorry about your DS1 Babylon - that must have been terrifying. Good to hear from you again and congrats on Logan walking - that's earlier than I did....! Apparently my Dad had to bribe me with choccies to make me walk whenI was 2....

Sorry about your Gran Lysette. Hope things go well for your mum.

I'm sure there's been a misunderstanding with ebay, HC... try to stay calm!

Happy 2008 to you too JammyDodger and yes, do come and join us!

Hope your kit arrives soon Kz/SSS so you can tuck your ixus away! DP has already threatened to send camera back as I'm being such a pain with it...! I could photograph paint drying, me.... Loving the sound of Roshi - she sounds hilarious! Pls youtube one of her tantrums and I'll do one of Ry's to compare - he's such a berk and falls on the floor to cry at the slightest provocation...

Well I'm on another course of antibiotics and about to undergo tests for kidney stones ... ho hum... Has meant that I've missed Ry's Three Kings party at Dp's work this evening which is really gutting (this being Spain, it didn't start till about 7pm...!) I bet he's having a whale of a time. Ryan probably is too...

Have a good evening all, especially you Annie!

Happy Birthday Annie - bet you are well and truly into the vino by now

Lysette - about your nan - it is still a shock even if you are not that close to them.

Impy - hope you feel better soon - what a rotten time of the year to be ill!

Babalon - lovely to hear from you and great news about Logan walking. Glad DS1 is ok now after what must have been a terrible shock for you all.

Not much to report here - Josh couldn't wait to get to nursery yesterday - guess he must have really missed it over Christmas. Plus the staff said he got really really excited when his best friend arrived and the 2 of them were inseperable all day - I just find it really cute that he has a 'best friend'

A few glasses of BH later everything seems slightly improved. You see, Santa wasn't very generous this year so thought I would treat myself to a PS3-buy it now at £399 on the 30th December. Not heard anything and when I looked today he is no longer registered so it looks like he conned the 12 or so people he sold PS3's to that day out of their money. He has a shop and has been registered since 2001 so thought I was safe this time as opposed to my laptop mishap just over a year ago.

Enough of my waffling. Lysette-I'm sorry too to hear about your nan. Bless her.

Impy-sorry you have missed Ryan's
Three Kings Party. Gallstones eh? Ouch!

Right-off to drink my tea. Byee for now.

babalon - sorry to hear about your ds, must have been so worrying, glad he is better now. well done to logan on walking

hi prettymum, was wondering how you were

bloss - toby sounding so cute, would love charlotte to call me mummy, still getting baba here

lysette - sorry to hear about your nan. cant believe so many things can be due to happen at once, talk about stressful ((hugs))

Annie - happy belated birthday, hows the head this morning? poor kayley over xmas, glad she is improving

impy - sorry to hear your not well, hope you better soon ((hugs))

ceebee - how cute of josh with his best friend

hc - Thats awful about the ebay scam, these people make you so angry. I remember reading on mn ages ago about someone who was selling prams and conned loads of new mums out of hundreds.

charlotte is enjoying her little kitchen/teaset she got for xmas, spends ages playing with it. She also got a dolls buggy and takes it all over the house with teacups, etc in it, everything except a dolly

Have decided to join more p&t groups, only go to one group at the moment but dont feel this is enough anymore. None of my friends have children so are mostly all working during the day so only see someone every now and then other than meeting dh some days for lunch in town. Feel i need it as much as charlotte will benefit, should have joined more ages ago but something i always just put off heres to a more social 2008

No snow here just lots of rain, hope the weather is ok where you all are. Have a nice day xx

santaspregnantlittlehelper · 04/01/2008 09:44

beadmum i'm with you on a more social 2008 although might be a bit tougher with a newborn!!!

ceebee bless josh with his best friend! jacob has a friend like that at monkey music, joseph, but they haven't seen each other for a while, and also another friend alexander who we have playdates with most weeks. there is also cash (yes spelt and said like that) who is about 5 months older than jacob, who jacob just copies and copies and copies!!! it's very sweet

thanks for all the wishes about my nan and mum, and yes i could really do with my mum not having surgery around the time i am due to have sam, but it wouldn't even enter her head to say she'll put it off for a couple of weeks (particularly as it's not been a particularly long wait for this so far)... sorry i am being particularly mean and viscious at the moment

anyway, enough of my rambling annie i hope you have a very sore head, and impy kidney stones ouch and shame you missed the party, and HC are you covered by paypal protection at all?

TheGoddessBlossom · 04/01/2008 19:14

Happy Birthday Annie!

Sorry about your nan and mum Lysettes. Hugs. Chill.

HC that's a total f**ker about ebay, has it put you off?

H was a total NIGHTMARE yesterday and nearly got sold on said ebay. He was, conversely a total DREAMBOAT all day today. Go figure.

xx

HumphreysCorner · 04/01/2008 22:11

Evening all

Feel so exhausted at the moment-probably due to my body saying thank goodness my owner has finished being manic over Christmas and letting me slow down so now I'm going to make her rest. Well, something like that.

Have filed a complaint to PayPal and the seller has until the 14th Jan to respond so just a waiting game. Have found a PS3 60GB at Studio Cards so have placed an order (have not told DH yet) Hope I get the money back for I have to pay the Studio Cards bill.

Bloss-I can't wait for Emma to go back to school on Monday-she is full on hyper active all the time. Am letting mum and MIL have Sophie 1 day a week each like I did with Emma-time for me time I feel. There are a few things I would like to do so now is the chance.

Hello to everyone else and hope all are well.

Leo finally is better, still not his usual self, but getting there. Look at the top two photos on my profile, you can really see how much weight he has lost (about 2kg) and the "thin" photo was taken before this last bout of D&V so he got eve thinner and more ill looking

Sorry I haven't had the energy to cath up with all the posts, Leo has literally been ill for the whole school holiday and it is back to school tomorrow!

KZ do we get a prize if we can work out Roshi's nursery rhyme??? Lol... How sweet of her. K's latest words are 'Joey's ....', any thing from Joey's cot to Joey's dinner to Joey's hair...
Her eczema has cleared up really well for the moment, tg, though her hands are still a bit scabby, but so much better. Still waking a lot, but not so much screaming.

She's had her fringe cut now. V but necessary. And it looks well cute now!

Wallace, sorry to hear about poor Leo. At least he's on the mend.

HC hope you're getting some energy back. That me time will be great.
I got conned like you a while back. It was for a couple of PS2 games, the seller had tons of +ve feedback, but insisted on paying by cheque, so once he had the cheques, he scarpered. He must have done it to loads of people, the b&+&d.

Bloss, hope H is being good today.

Ta for all the birthday wishes. It was just a normal day really. I think I actually drank less than usual Anyway, I'm trying not to care that DH didn't go further than Sainsburys for my champagne. And that was it. How bad. Joey gave me an ice cream scoop and Kayley an ice cube tray. Also from Sainsburys... I'm not getting him anything this year.
Was even too knackered to enjoy the takeaway curry... Oh well.

Anyway, best be off. I love it when DH is at work!! I'm having a Take That day today (sad I know, I never even liked them that much til their latest single). Had a bit of a dream about them last night, well, three of them (not Gary).

Bye

TheGoddessBlossom · 06/01/2008 19:08

evening all.

I keep having incredibly saucy dreams about Shaun in Eastenders. Like dirty minx type dreams....

Had parents over for dinner last night for my mum's birthday. They gave us a massive (5 figures) sum of money for Christmas so it was the least we could do! DH's food was divine - salmon en croute with Jamie's asparagus, cherry tomatoes and anchovy parcels wrapped in smoky bacon and new potatoes, and stuffed mushrooms to start. Superb. I was in charge of pudding, attempted a mumsnet pavlova recipe which died on it's arse and bought ready made treacle stodge. Which was fine in the end.

Been to see my sister's new house today, she has offered to have both boys one weekend. Where before we would have said oh noo, don't worry, and been concerned that she wouldn't cope, now we were like, yess great, despite knowing she won't cope!!!

HC how marve that you can get two free days. Some quality me time, just what you need.

Work tomorrow, getting nervous about the delivery side of things. Anyone want to buy £600,000 of software and £600,000 of consultancy? Lemme know won't you.

Annie, rubbish effort from Dh on the birthday front. He must try harder.

Love Bloss

xx

TheGoddessBlossom · 06/01/2008 19:11

Spin soooo cute re Roshi's Twinkle Twinkle little star. Toby started singing Postman Pat today. "Po Po Pa...Po Po Pa...Po Po Pa..." whilst holding his van. What they understand is incredible isn't it? I mean TOby has never even seen Postman Pat on the telly. just played with H's figures etc and read a book with me. "Go and get Mrs Goggins and Ted Glenn's truck from the playroom Toby" Off he trots and brings it all to me! Amazing! [proud emoticon]

AnnieOleTing · 06/01/2008 19:25

Bloss wins!!
Couldn't for the life of me work it out, Twinkle twinkle..duh...

Cute cute cute Tobes

Bloss-v. nice of your parents. Just like my In Laws.

MaeWest · 06/01/2008 20:05

Love it when they sing . Roshi sounds like a diva in the making!

DS sings Pin-gu Pin-gu whilst clutching the DVD I he got for Christmas and gazing mournfully at the TV.

Wallace - poor Leo has had a right time of it, glad he's on the mend. Even my little butterball is looking a little more slender of late, constant colds/cough for the past 2-3 months + a vomitty thing (thankfully shortlived).

ceebee74 · 06/01/2008 20:19

Wallace - wow those photos really show Leo's weight loss - but glad he is on the mend now and can start chubbying up again

Spin - how cute of Roshi - Josh doesn't sing (well not that I have noticed anyway) but he doesn't half like to dance at any possible opportunity!

Annie - mmm, saucy dreams about Take That - I bet that was a good one Was it all of them or just one in particular??

Bloss and HC - how I could really do with some relatives like yours at the moment - it must really take the pressure off.

Josh appears to have developed a bottomless pit of a stomach these last few days. I honestly think he would eat constantly if we let him! Today he had a full ham and cheese toasty (made with 2 slices of bread) which is the same as me and DH had, then a full pudding pot - which may not sound much to all of those with big eaters but for Josh it is quite a feat. I hope he starts to put some weight on now as he seems to have been pretty static on that front for the last few months.

Hope you all had a good weekend x

Wallace · 06/01/2008 20:21

spin - cute singing Leo has been starving today so that's good. We are lucky that they were so heavy in the first place that losing that much weight still leaves them hefty

Annie - LOL Happy Belated Bday

Bloss -they are amazingly cute at this age, aren't they

Maewest - winter's is awful isn't it. Wewere thankful that at least cos Leo was so big in the first place, he could afford to lose that much weight.

Hello everybody else I had better get all the school stuff ready!
