Hi girls

Am a bit reluctant to post today, as I'm really pissed off today. Dh (or not so D) said something on the phone which just made me feel utter shit about myself, as if my confidence wasn't knocked enough lately (what with the extra stones).
Can't really tell him off either at the mo, as he's just got a date for his little op, so he's freaked about that. So neither of us is much support for the other at the moment.
Sometimes feel like knocking it all on the head, but then my poor babies would probably be taken away and left at the mercy of the IL's.
Not so dramatic really. Just in my head I want to tell everyone to F* off.

Sorry girls.

KZ your poo story cheered me up though! Lol at her trying to pee like Chi.
K also seems very aware that she's about to poo, but always denies it when I ask her if she's done it. She's great at sitting on Joey's potty, whereas he won't go near it. I dunno, maybe in the summer I can train them both together what do you reckon? Girls are meant to be easier than boys.

Ceebee is Handy Manny the one with all the talking tools?! I'm sure I've seen that.
Are all you girls TTC now??? Good Luck!!

Bloss hope you had a better sleep last night.

Well best go. Really really fancy a drink right now... best not though...

Welcome back Pav!!! Sounds like you are enjoying life!

Thanks HC. I think that's all I need, just a hug. x

PixelHerder · 08/01/2008 17:52

Hi Girls
'Tis me, F@F. Have gone for a new name as I'm no longer 40 (sniff) and this one is to celebrate my so-called new career (when it happens )

BIG HUGS from me too Annie, I'm sure your DH didn't mean it. I often think what an awful lot you have to cope with at once (2 wonderful but very little lo's, plus work, plus interrupted sleep) and you seem to do it so cheerfully most of the time - it would be no wonder if it caught up with you sometimes. Hope you feel better soon xxx

Hi to everybody - I've started some replies but I won't post them now or it will be too monstrous a post - will do it in bits!

Laters xxx

TheGoddessBlossom · 08/01/2008 21:28

hugs hugs hugs Annie. Men can be so thoughtless sometimes. I bet if herd heard you say something insensitive about him you would have got both barrels whether you'd been facing an op or not! It's a kick in the guts when you feel let down by those closest to you, but as F@F said I'm sure he did't mean it, just being a thoughtless berk. They are all lucky to have you. Again echoing First/Pixel, you do cope with an awaful lot. I am a total mess with a couple of interrupted nights never mind every night. I really don't know how you do it. I checked the time of your post when you said you wanted a bevvie, hmm, 1.45 may be a tad early even for us hon

Much better night last night here. No puke, he did wake at 5ish for milk, but went back off. When I did get him up however he had the fullest loosest pooey nappy ever though, so there is deffo something up in his little tum. Nursery said he had two loose ones today as well, but he seems perfectly cheerful so hopefully it's on it's way out whatever it was....

I did also forget to mention that until tonight Toby was still, not only drinking out of a bottle still, not only from a number 2 teat, but SMA red as well!!! He drinks cows milk perfectly happily, had it tonight before bed in fact, but the middle of the night/sparrow's fart feeds are formula. No way am I stumbling downstairs to the fridge when I can mix up a bottle upstairs. And it does say up to 24 months on the tin.......(you LAAAAAZeeee cow......)

H was MUCH happier going to nursery today, and Toby, well, Toby has no shame! He RAN into his fave girl's arms today with a HUGE smile on his face! The tart.

A friend had her first today, a baby boy. Have to admit to feeling a tad broody.....

Last day of my working week tomorrow, and it will be being conducted from home. Bliss.

Night all.

Bloss

xx

MaeWest · 08/01/2008 21:32

Sorry he's being an arse Annie. Sending you sleepy vibes for tonight.

jacobandlysetteandabump · 08/01/2008 21:59

echoing everyone anie lots and lots of hugs and so sorry he is being a git. he probably didn't mean it, whatever it was, my dh has done this loads of times....and it's always when we need the other one to support the other most - we end up turning on each other!

did you have a glass of vino tonight?

spin lol at the poo story!

we have more teeth coming through here at least that's the reason i'm hoping for the most puke inducing stinky farts that jacob has been producing today!

anyway, must away as i'm shattered - bloss at the SMA red! we have jacob on soya milk and the added benefit is that it's long life so you can put a bottle up in his room in case of mid night wakings and it won't curdle (slacker!!!)

Morning girls. Thanks for all the hugs and kind words. I've had tears sliding down my cheeks here... wuss...
Not much difference last night, he seemed oblivious. I spose I'm being quite childish and sulking a bit, and not telling him what's up, but if I say anything I know there'll just be a big defensive argument, so I can't bear it. He pissed me off again this morning, I thought things would be ok in the morning. Something like he said to Joey, well Mammy's not going to be any help cos she has to go to work. So obviously he's miffed that I don't help out at home enough.
We have reversed roles, he's the desperate flustered housewife who never has time for herself and I'm the selfish (fat) useless lazy husband who never lifts a finger...
Oh well. I can feel a shouting match brewing. Maybe that'll clear the air.

I think K is starting to sleep better at night, since starting the anti-histamine, so she doesn't scratch herself so much. Does anyone know if it's safe to keep giving her a dose before bed every night? We've stopped it the last two nights, and she's been itching again. The doc said to just give it for a week, which we did, but I wondered if I could keep giving it. She did say to keep it handy in case...

Bloss, at least you know Tobes is getting all his vitamins and minerals!! Kayley has cow's milk alright, but I fill up two bottles and put them in a freezer bag next to my bed. Sod that getting up to go to the fridge lark! By the time you're there and back, she'd be hysterical anyway.
Hope he's better today. Glad they love the nursery. Joey really likes going now too, he likes to tell us who he met there.

Pixel what a great name. I will need some time to adjust though. (Spin is still KZ to me). You would think, wouldn't you, that I have a lot to cope with, but in fact I have the easiest job in the world! Just as well really, or I might really be driven to drinking in the mornings...

Now, where did I put that hip flask...

Annie - glad you are feeling a bit brighter this morning. If your DH is anything like mine, he wouldn't even notice me sulking at him anyway!

Bloss - I see no problem with the formula milk at night - I wuld just think of it as a 'vitamin/miineral' shot

I am going to say this quietly in case you all lynch me

ceebee74 · 09/01/2008 12:34

Sorry Annie - I rush-read your post as at work and thought things were better

jacobandlysetteandabump · 09/01/2008 13:48

ceebee how heavenly not to be giving milk at night! we have pretty much got out of that habit, but did i think indulge jacob a bit more as he was so small!

you poor thing annie - they are pigs soemtimes - it does sound like you do need to clear the air though. i always find dh and i get to this stage and have an almightly row but are much better afterwards. a bit mean of your dh to say something like that though (from a sahm point of view!)

Morning girls.
Much better today. No idea why, as nothing has changed, no shouting match. But things seem normal. Until the next comment, eh?
I'm at home, and he's gone to 'work' today, so I have the babies all to myself.

He actually said something funny last night! That program about being a single parent was on, and he said to me, you're not going to be a single parent are you. I laughed, quite genuinely, as it was ironic after the last couple of days, and he said, Oh no, you're going to dump me aren't you?! I just laughed it off somehow. Felt better after that. Maybe he noticed something then!

Anyway, must go and check for puddles. Both babies are running around with no nappies...

Ta for all the hugs!!! Love you girls

hi, haven't "seen" you lot for ages.
Time flies when you are having "fun"...

PixelHerder · 10/01/2008 11:26

Hi Girls - my new year resolution is not to do monster posts, I'm going to do more frequent mini ones... well will give it a go anyway!

Glad things are better Annie

Bloss - glad nursery's going better, it's horrible when you feel guilty about it isn't it? Even when you know they will be fine as soon as you leave. Glad the job's going well too, you seem to be back in the swing brilliantly!

Spin - sorry don't know anything about bikes (now if it had been a pram question I may have been able to help ). Roshi's so funny, lol at her eyeing up the blokes!

Re bottles - what on earth is wrong with them?! Anything that gets fluids into the tummy with minimum mess and fuss is fine by me. Emma usually has two a day, one on waking (thrown into her cot to keep her going until one of us is conscious enough to get her up and dressed and downstairs for some solids). She has an afternoon bottle too, usually rice milk or soya milk. I didn?t realise about different size teat holes until quite recently - she has had the same size (1?) since birth, doesn?t seem to bother her (not that she?s had much choice though I suppose .

Okay this isn't so mini so I'm off now - back later!

PixelHerder · 10/01/2008 11:27

Forgot to say hi to Madness and Pavlov

AnnieOleTing · 10/01/2008 11:59

Pixel you are a sweetie.

I think 'they' don't recommend bottles after 6 months (WTF!?) cos of damage to teeth. Well Kayley didn't have teeth til 9 months...
I think the cut off point is 12 months.

But hey, who listens to 'them'! Always overcautious to make us mums feel inadequate.

Kayley is going around saying 'I love oo', shimmying her shoulders... very funny

x

PixelHerder · 10/01/2008 12:48

Gosh, that's funny about bottles isn't it - don't get it at all. Is it orthodontics or teeth rotting that is supposed to be the problem? If it's teeth rotting, that doesn't make sense unless the child is going around all day with a bottle clamped between its teeth, but if it's just one or two feeds then the bottle is taken away, that doesn't amount to more than 10 mins max. I'm sure it would take her longer than that to drink it out of a cup (she hoovers milk out of bottles at a rate of knots, despite the size 1 hole )

Orthodontics might make more sense, but again it's only 10 mins a day (and she's doomed to be goofy anyway as DH and I both were, pre-braces...)
