Dylan is soooooo not going to sleep. I knew this would happen. He slept for most of the day, totally sparko, and now he is just lying there crying and crying, but with his eyes shut.
I need a drink.

ud - that is really shit about what your mate did. I would have gone ballistic! the thing that would worry me, is would she do it again in the future when your kids were playing together?

are we all going to be writing to pampers now then? £9 voucher is pretty good!

vino - dh currently has that bug. he is under the duvet watching east enders, so he MUST be ill!

lizz - hope dj gets better soon. its so horrible seeing them ill, but its also kind of nice when they cuddle up!

sorry I can't take part in the take that appreciation - i think I was into metallica at that time [metaller emoticon]. mind you, I sometimes find myself singing along to their new one on the radio.

we have spotted a house down the road that's for sale - it's 4 beds, detached, all new inside for £189k. the owner wants a quick sale cos it was used to grow drugs in. link here

so we are going to put our house on the market in a half-hearted way and see what happens. It's quite scary - I am busy sorting out the finances now to check we can afford it. But if it all panned out we wouldnt have to move again, and [broody emoticon] we would have room for dc2 if it happens! we are having a valuation and stuff tomorrow, so wich us luck!

So many really nasty bugs going arund. Ruth has caught the one Luke had last weekend so should be a fun night here.

UD- That is trully awful. And that she didnt appologise when she realise dyou were pissed off about it is terrible too.

Today at a toddler group I take Luke to he had a fight with another boy over the microwave in the kitchin. Totally 50:50 but got a bit nasty. Me and the other mum went over to tell them off and the other mum smacked her child then took him away. I found it really shocking and Luke looked really worried about it. He went and said sorry, and so did the other boy then all was forgotten and they carried on playing. But at bed time he kept talking about the naughty mummy hitting the boy (we are having battles atm to stop him hitting Ruth).

I realise that everyone had different views on smacking but, to smack someone elses child is definatly wrong. I too was smacked as a child, and while I dont think that it did me any harm, it is not something we are going to do (although I have come close with Luke!). The thing I find hard to come to terms about it is that if you do it out of anger then you are out of control and if you are calm when you do it, it just seems really cold. I am not against others doing it or choosing that as disciplin, it is just not something I want to do. Also, I dont get the whole 'dont hit' as you smack your child. It is like saying DONT SHOUT! to me.

Wilkie- My MIL go tme one in the sales last year. I LOVE it! You can make soups in minutes especialy with my processor!

I quite fancy JAson Orange but I thought he was GAY???? My mate reckons not!

SproutsRGrEEat · 06/12/2007 20:13

UD -

Hi Lizz . Hope DJ gets better soon. Such a pi$$er when they're ill. A, sooo pleased P is better now, but still has remnants of hacking cough.
Dragon - hpe your night is ok too.

Vino - you coming round tomorrow or is illness not good?

Bunny - good luck with the house stuff.

RudolphtherednoseEANDHdeer · 07/12/2007 01:31

just got back am knackered and so tired - but it was GREAT me and eddas had a boogie and a singsong am off to bed now !

Lizzzombie · 07/12/2007 10:56

Morning (fake chipperness after 1 too many coffees already!)
DJ was up half the n ight, but slept till 9.30am so I am a bit recovered. He is totally off food but will take milk, so I am just giving him as much milk as he wants. Thats ok isn't it? The anti biotics are a nightmare to get down his throat. I had him wedged backwards over my knee screaming so I could get them in his mouth, then he went purple choking on them. But, he is dressed today, which is a start. My poor little baby!

Wicked xmas names going round!
Rgee - Jason has to be gay, his voice is so camp.
Eah - Did they do old and new stuff? I am quite into the new stuff, will download later I think.
UD & Wilks - Scrabulous is down all day....what will we dooooooo????!
Bunny - is the drugs house really for sale? Will the hydroponics still be in the loft? Would make a nice sun bed room!

We have a new ultra modern keyboard for the mac. Its freaky, and its taking me a while to get used to typing on it. Its only about 1cm thick! I feel like I am on a space ship!

Just got £9.50 worth of coupons from Cow & Gate.

Who else can I shower with praise??? hmm......

Lizzzombie · 07/12/2007 11:52

£9.50!! Thats a good one too!
I don't like their baby food though. Its too sweet.
How about HIPP? I already get lots of freebies from them. Or ORGANIX or Heinz? Or maybe just Boots in general, that would be a handy token!

Or Cadburys, years ago I wrote to them sending back a mouldy twirl (it was white so not really moldy) which they explained to me, but added £5 token as compensation!

Or pedigree chum, I sent them back a bit of dogfood once which had a big bit of gristle in, with a narky letter about how I couldnt possibly trust them again etc...got a couple of £ for that one too! ;)

My mum wrote to a company who make heel balm, and said how it had changed her life and they sent her a big box of samples of it!

I don't buy C&G apart from Frutapura but if you shop at Asda they accept money off vouchers regardless of whether you have bought the product so I have about £20 in coupons this month to take off my weekly shop! Cool beanz!

Lizzzombie · 07/12/2007 12:59

Of course! You mentioned that before.
I should be collectiong my tokens, darn it. I just threw lots out.
Do you get the HIPP freebies?
We have a bib, car sticker, loads of spoons. I love getting stuff like that in the post!

afternoon - am still anckered and dh home and actually getting on my nerves as making more mess than e and h and keeps snoozing on the sofa - wish he had gone to work

Did you know tesco accept most peoples coupons I got a page of £4 off a £20 shop at sainsbury (one voucher per week for 6 weeks per xmas) and tesco take those

Also I complained to sainsburys as got ellie a sandwich boxchildrens meal thingy in cafe and me a cup of tea I wasnt allowed to take trolley had no buggy and had to queue for ages as they are so slow and not one staff memebr offered to help me (they were loutering around occasionally wiping the odd table but all the highchairs were rank) so I had to carry box, tea, hattie and guide ellie to table. I emailed and have got a £10 voucher plus another free meal for me and e and h when we go there next. I am always emailing if I go somewhere with the girl on my own and there are staff there but they dont help you always get a reply and often get vouchers etc

RudolphtherednoseEANDHdeer · 07/12/2007 13:31

oh my god that was hardly readable hopefully you got the jist of it

bunnyhunny · 07/12/2007 14:10

I have just joined the hipp organic baby club, in the hope I will get free stuff.
i am also gonna write to organix and tell them they are ace!
I want vouchers!!
I have lots of c&g ones (I joined their club to get the free toy cow), but we don't use them. I use jars as pasta sauces if I'm feeling lazy, but c&g don't have a lot s can eat.
now, who else can I suck up to write a nice letter to?

2Happy · 07/12/2007 15:23

Does that make it hipp hop then?

Geddit? bunny...hop...

Wanders off muttering to self about children addling the brain...

bunnyhunny · 07/12/2007 15:33

lol 2happy

talking about kids and brains, at a staff meeting the other day I actually used the term 'boink' with sound effects. And I have to stop myself randomly blowing raspberries when there is no baby about to blow them back!

2Happy · 07/12/2007 15:35

PMSL. I totally embarassed myself a while back in the car with 3 other people from work by shouting in excited mummy-manner "Look! Sheep! And a tractor!!". A car is a small place for tumbleweed to blow, but believe me, it blew...

bunnyhunny · 07/12/2007 15:40

ahh the tumbleweed moments. so glad someone else gets them!

bunnyhunny · 07/12/2007 15:41

rereading my post i just realised - I have those moments so often I actually have a name for them!
