DH - we have been thinking about buying a chest freezer to keep in the shed so I can start freezing meals in tubs. Am sick of fannying around with ice-cube trays!!

Where is everyone ATM? The thread is positively lifeless.

hi everyone!
i have bought all but 1 of my presents, though none have arrived yet (internet shopping - I learnt my lesson about going into town!)

wilkie and dh - have you tried giving your lo's pasta and stuff? It was a nightmare when S decided he wouldn't spoonfeed, but in the long run it has made life much easier. He has jacket spuds, sarnies, pasta and sauce and stuff, - pretty much what we are eating, but no dairy. It was really messy at first, but it's not so bad now (except when he puts bolognaise in his hair and ears.) I moved the highchair the other day, and there was soooo much food stuck to the wall behind it! but the dog soon cleared it up

S is now walking everywhere. It's shocking how quickly it went from just a few steps to trying to run about. I remember talking to you wilkie about it - we underestimated how soon it would be didn't we!

ud - glad you had a great time at the meetup.

and lal - glad you had a great time at KC.
I wanna go to a gig!

Lal - what's happened re childcare?

Eah enjoy TT .
If any of you dare to talk about how great it is, I will have to remind you that last year i TOUCHED Gary's back and SHOOK Howard's hand (sadly the fit two went doen the other aisle so I didn't get to them).

Bunny the internet is a marvellous thing for Xmas pressies. Am debating whether it would be too tight fisted to tell DH I'm getting his main mas pressie in the sales.....(a TV btw)

Ratbunny- Ruth wont be spoon fed either. She eats most stuff herself and actually has it less cut up than Luke! The nightmare I am having at the moment is that I am saying "well done Ruth, you are eating really well" to Ruth for using her fingers but then when Luke copies her, and uses his fingers instead of fork and spoon, I am telling him off. Been trying to get her to eat with a spoon herself and we are making some headway with yogurt and wheetabix but it is much easier for me when she uses her fingers!

Wilkie- I soooooo want a chest freezer. Been trying to persuade DH that we need one but no luck so far.

EAH- Have a good time tom!

Laughalot- Why is she annoying you?

Morning - i want a chest freezer seen the perfect one in our local iceland for £99 but have nowhere to put it unless we get electricity put in the shed

Had a good night both went to bed by 6.30 Hattie woke at 9 with her cold but laid in bed with me whilst I watched heros and nooded off she oke up at 5.45 but we've snuggled up in bed together and ellie just got up hence we are now downstairs.

I met all of take that in my younger years was a huuuuge fan and went to tv studios (we have some in maidstone Trisha is filmed there!!) told my Mum I was staying at friends but her Mum worked n ights so we left the house at 4.30am and got to the studios at 5am and waited till midday to meet them (was a saturday morning kids programme) I 'touched' all of them except Robbie who went straight into the car

Bunny - J spoonfeeds no probs he just eats.....A LOT!!! DH and I eat lots of weird crap that I can't give to J so I have to cook separately for him which is a PITA.

The walking is adorable - we've bought some reins for when we are out and he loves them - struts his stuff in front of us grinning from ear to ear!! Sent a video message to a couple of you that I have texts for - did you get it?? (EAH I know you did!)

Laughalot - why is BF pissing you off? Explain more...

RGee - sorry mate, logged on and then off last night

EAH - enjoy TT! Am SOOOOOOO excited now

UD - Scrabulous won't upload for some reason

DH - Am I sad that I am desperate for a pressure cooker??

2Happy - sympathies

Come on - I want everyone to have thought of a crimbo name by tomorrow please. 2Happy - you have it faaaar too easy!

Not much to report (again) I am dull as a dull day out in dullsville.

DH applied for a job in Huddersfield (am I repeating myself?!?!?!?!)

J has a nasty cough again and chucked up in Asda all over the floor - it had big lumps of green phlegm in it. SO - had to get someone to come and clear it up for me as I was holding him so had no hands free!!

Having hair chopped and highlighted tomorrow in preparation for TT (obv they are going to fall in love with me, marry me and give me their millions..... and the hair will make it happen...)

UD - am very very on your behalf. My BF told me that if her DD was naughty I should smack her and she would do the same to J. I said 'No you wouldn't, only I will smack J if I deem it necessary - tell him off by all means but don't ever smack him please'. And that is fine.

My other BF has a DS exactly the same age as J and I would never dream of smacking hiM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yooohoo! Everyone! - cooo-ee!
We've not had a keyboard all week so I have been lurking but unable to type anything! Very frusrating!

UD - its your go in Scrabulous now, I finally got it working again!
Wilkie - 10 ice cube portions? I am assuming you are using a standard ice cube tray? DJ manages about 3 Anabel Karmel cubes.
And £9 pampers voucher!!! I am of a mind to write to Huggies and tell them Pampers are giving out £9 ones compared to their £2!
Eah - Had to nick your idea of Electronic suduko for my Dad. Found it on the telegraph website for £5 and no delivery charge either!
Rgee - I am so impressed you are a star toucher! And for the record, I reckon Howard is pretty fit!
Eah & Lal - I am so jealous!

Well, DJ is ill. I took him to the Drs this morning, he is on anti biotics for his cold/cough thing. Not eating a bean, and apart from morning milk didn't drink anything all day either. I got nearly 2 hours sleep last night, and about 4 hours the two nights before so i am fit for nothing and off to bed in a bit. Its horrible to so see my poor little baby so ill, he really isnt himself and fell asleep on me this morning for ages, which he hasnt done since he was properly little. It was like having a little newborn again!
Hopefully he will be a bit better this evening. I've forced his anti biotics down him and managed to get some medised down too.

Good night! x

I have been in a whirl of exhaustion over the last few days culminating in 2 very early nights - Tues was good cos E slept through but last night she woke at 1.30 for several hours. I am trying to not give her milk when she wakes in the night but she just would not settle and was really pissing me off so I gave in and of course she snoozed off straight away. Annoyed. Then I was wide awake so I was downstairs writing our christmas cards at 4am......the joys of motherhood.

Still struggling with a sore throat cold type thing. A hot chilli has helped my throat tonight although I ate a lotof sour cream with cos it was a bit too hot.

HAd a quiet day doign washing and cooking. E enjoyed some leek and potato soup for tea. I had made it really thick and put lots of cream in hers. She ate lunch for me today but has been refusing it at nursery. They think she wants to finger feed...the ideas above are useful cos I was a bit clueless about what to give her and am loathe to give her stuff that makes a mess. I like it when she sits hapily in her high chair eating what I give her. When she throws stuff on the floor and spits it out I get really het up. I know I shouldn't.

Dh out playing footie. Just ordered a load of stuff from M&S so that we at least have some presents on the way.

Off to put washing away, straighten up and then get into bed for another early night.

I don;t know if I will smack E or not. I was smacked as a child when I was naughty, not really sure how I feel about it now. My dad once ripped my thumb nail off when he tried to hit me with his trainer! It was all over aone of those tinned fray bentos pies that I objected to my mum having served up for lunch......

UD - Outrageous! I would never dream of smacking another persons baby. I wouldnt even smack my nephews. Its for the parents to dicipline their own children in the way they seem fit.
and as for doing it to an 11 month old!?!?!? WTF?!?! He's a BABY ! very out of order.
