Brand new and shiney, just like all those xmas presents which have already been wrapped up () and are underneath the colour co-ordinated tree!

That would be fine by me.

Had a truly truly horrible day today our dear friend steve died in the early hours he was 30 and has two wonderfull children who are 3 and 5. He had a brain tumor that was never going to go away but was well under control until about 3 weeks ago when it started to grow his dear wife dident tell anyone as she was hoping he would pull through but sadly it wasnt meant to be and he died in the early hours. Emma is devestated as are we and his family. They are a lovely family and steve was one of the nicest people I knew. God rest his soul xx

vinorouge · 17/12/2007 23:19

LAL - thinking of you and Emma x

Wilkie - I am going to a friends on Fri night who doesn't have internet (she just moved in )so might not be able to make it but if it suits everyone else then go for it.

Been for xmas meal with work tonight but was driving so no red wine lips for me. We won the pub quiz!!! (It was a very tame xmas do)

Day off tomorrow cos working on sat. Will get up and take E to nurseryy then come home and potter. Might even get my mince pies made!

RudolphtherednoseEANDHdeer · 18/12/2007 07:33

morning

Lal - nothing to say will even touch what you must be feeling so (((hugs))

I can open my present any time as I have no life!! (actually think dh is goingout sat nite to wet friends new baby head he'll stay at his mum and dads if he does as they'll be going to their local) dont care if he goes or not but he better be in a jolly modd sunday afternoon when we go to see Father Christmas at Leeds Castle

Vin - hope you have a lovely day

DH- glad all went well with your dad iirc Marsden is by the Royal brompton (have to go there for dh heart checks and the prenatle heart scan I had done when pg) there is street parking but limited and v expensive could you possibly park slightly out of the area and get a cab?

No school this week as Ellie broke up so have to think of something to do today or she'll be monaing shes bored.

Had a lovely day at work yesterday had to go to a meeting in the morning and take the minutes and then was invited to lunch with all the managers etc was very very osh but scrummy and finished at 3pm I thought I had to go back to the office but my boss said I could go home so went and got my hair cut and bought myself an outfit for xmas day (new jeans, cerise pink jumper plus some new boots)

Hattie is filling her nappy so catch everyone later

theUrbanDryAdventCalendar · 18/12/2007 10:10

Laughalot - so sorry to hear that. the same thing happened to my bf (the mother of my godchildren) if you need to talk or anything, msn me. xxx

laughalotsofpresents · 18/12/2007 10:18

Thanks everyone the worst part is he was such a lovely person he was a really good looking fella but it never showed he wouldnt ignore anyone even though he had his good looks. I just feel so sad that he will never see his children grow up and that they will be left without a daddy. Emma is just devestated and because its xmas the funeral has had to be arranged really quickly he died yesterday and the funeral is friday maybe its better though than waking up xmas day knowing you have to bury your dh soon. 30 is no age to die im so angry I cant believe how much it has upset me it just makes me realise that I moan and grown but I have a wonderfull dh and children and we have our health.

Lal - so sorry to hear about your friend. His poor family .

Lizzzombie · 18/12/2007 18:53

Lal - that is tragic news, so near to xmas too. Your poor friend.
Dragon - good to know you are still around! Fingers crossed for your Dad.
Am totally about you all having sex. Its not fair!

Its my birthday on Friday (32!!!!) and we are going out for an early tea with Dylan and DP to a local turkish place...yum yum yum..not sure if I will be around at 7pm to open online. Which is annoying as I am desperate to open mine! Have been very good and not touched it since it arrived!

Nothing else to report. It was the nursery xmas party today. Dylan was bouncing off the walls all afternoon, with no nap at all. I am not sure what they fed him, but I am pretty sure there was lots of sugar in it! So cute though, they were all dressed up as santas and elves etc (the children were) and when we went in, the slightly bigger babies in his group, who can talk, all called out to him. "Dylan, comena and play!" It was so cute!

have you seen there's another Urban person?

RudolphtherednoseEANDHdeer · 18/12/2007 20:55

had a nightmare day brother and gf due to exchange contracts today and people buying their house pulled out, so they have paid a deposit on a new build that they may not be able to get. After lots of phoning and playing companies off against each other it seems the company (george wimpey) may consider part exchanging their house so fingers crossed.

just randomly ordered 2 xmas presents, got a fab picture of dh with e and h earlier on tonight so quickly loaded onto laptop and ordered a mug with it on its due to be delivered xmas eve and ordered something for eddas from her dd and ds as a surprise (hope she doesnt read this but again not sure if it'll be here on time (fingers crossed)

Went and did huge food shop with e and h earlier, hattie fell asleep in the trolley (not even in baby seat she was slumped acrossed the handlebar ) and ellie was super well behaved especially as we were in there for 1.5hours am now £90 poorer and still need to get veg and salad on monday

RudolphtherednoseEANDHdeer · 18/12/2007 21:12

walkinginaWILKIEwonderland · 19/12/2007 07:53

Urban - the newbie has changed her name after my post on her thread. There is only ONE Urban! Long may she reign

There is currently a WalkinginawinterBundle but I guess that is to be expected at Crimble!

Well Fri is not convenient for everyone so how about Saturday at 7.30pm?

Am I a bad mother? J has opened three Crimbo presents already. We are going to M&Ds for Crimbo and I don't want to cart EVERYTHING across so he opened some from CM, Santa (party) and my friend.

SproutsRGrEEat · 19/12/2007 08:03

Hello.
I'm not at work.
Dh is.
LO is at nursery.

walkinginaWILKIEwonderland · 19/12/2007 08:04

You lucky lucky thing! A day of pure BLISS!!

J is currently chewing a book

RudolphtherednoseEANDHdeer · 19/12/2007 08:34

at rgee

hattie currently back in bed as was up at 5.30, ellie moaning because she hasnt got any crayola magic pen paper left and I have just cooked myelf bacon and eggs cause I am bored.

We have dentist at 10.50 and ellie freaking about it already (because dentist is a man ) will be interesting as will have both of them with me and now they are both mobile not sure exactly how I am meant to sit in the chair, last time hattie was in her car seat and ellie had a book to look at.

Saturday fine with me I'll be ere on my ownsome as dh out (think i'll get myself a takeaway)

wilkie - girls have had a couple of presents, the old couple we saw on sunday let them have theirs (ellie very chuffed as was a cinderella doll and hattie most unimpressed with her minnie mouse doll from disney store) and tey had presents from dh uncle who lives in USA postman delievred them yesterday and had opened the jiffy bag and got the presents out whilst I was signing for the delivery, they have miles to much to open on the day we normally end up spreading it out as she got bored last year.

DH got home early yesterday (2.30pm but we wont see him before 7pm for the rest of the week and on xmas eve) so we took the girls to the hairdressers hattie had a quick trim and a fringe cut in and ellie was very insistent that she needed to have her hair washed, trimmed (pmsl at her saying 'just the ends please') and then had it blowdried and straightened she looked far to grown up with it all straight so back to having wavy hair today

SproutsRGrEEat · 19/12/2007 08:40

Going away this afternoon for a few days for mil 60th. I indend to while away the morning on MN

Wilkie P has opened one present given to her by Santa at nursery. She was a bit at Santa, but loved the two real life reindeer that were brought along too

Eah mmmmmmmm bacon butty. Pass one here please. Just been thinking of you as have been browsing the ridiculous toy bargains available at Amazon at the minute. If only lo was a bit older (or should that be thankfully she's not old enough?)

Might go wrap a few presents later, but might go open some chocolates instead. Liiz - creme egg??????

SproutsRGrEEat · 19/12/2007 08:42

Postman just been. Thought he was knocking on the door to deliver SS pressie, but no, it appears I won a competition and the prize is MS Office 2007. It costs £300 on Amazon so am .

RudolphtherednoseEANDHdeer · 19/12/2007 08:44

its fateful when they get older rgee (and you end up with loads of plastic stuff that they love ie ellie is obsessed with her plastic dressing table that has music and lights!) she is now watching madagscar on dvd whilst dressed as a queen (dress, hat, cloak, plastic shoes and tonnes of play jewllery)

RudolphtherednoseEANDHdeer · 19/12/2007 08:45

wow rgee thats (eandh pops off to go and enter some competitions)

Are you keeping it or ebaying it?

SproutsRGrEEat · 19/12/2007 08:50

I am imagining E dressed up as a queen and giving you -her loyal servant- orders .

Not sure whether to ebay it. Will speak to DH and see what he thinks too. I really want to get a laptop in the NY (primarily so I can be in the same room as DH when on MN, so he won't moan that I spend all my time on the computer!) so it might come in useful for that.

JodieG1 · 19/12/2007 08:53

Lal - so sorry to hear that, I can't even imagine what that must be like.

We're having sex but no condoms as dh had the snip, I really don't like condoms as well.

Eah - we did the big shop on Sunday and it wasn't too bad, spent far too much though and I also need to get the veg and fresh food too.

Liz - I've been trying to find creme eggs but I haven't managed to so far. I love them. I'll have to look in woolworths.

Ethan and the other two are ill again, arggh! Ethan is on anti-biotics and they're all up half the night coughing. I'm soooo tired, Ethan is still waking loads in the night.

Nativity play that Caitlin was in was great, dh videoed it, she was an angel. Morgan had one at pre-school and he was a sheep, videoed that too, was so sweet.

I can't believe our lo's are nearly 1, the time has gone so fast. If it wasn't for dh having had the snip and him not wanting any more children then I'd love another baby.
