Brand new and shiney, just like all those xmas presents which have already been wrapped up () and are underneath the colour co-ordinated tree!

I ahve just spent half an hour trying to set up msn so we can open ss presents 'live' but it just won;t work. I've registered a name and password btu it won;t recognise them so am fed up of it. You'll just have to do it without me. I don;t mind whether we say who bought for each other or not.

I spent 2 hours cleaning my oven today. Shiny shelves now instead of black ones! I got through a fair few brillo pads doing that. Immediately cooked a pizza for lunch in the said oven and watched it carefully to make sure there were no cheese drips! Then went to bed for an afternoon nap.....bliss.

Had hair cut shorter so have a sort of bob now. DH was quite excited about it when he got home!

Been for carvery tea with girls from work and back home now. We have to go xmas shopping tomorrow - guessing Leeds will be busy - but DH not shopped at all yet and I need a couple of stocking fillers for him. Gonna get the bus and go in about lunchtime for lunch first, then DH meeting couple of mates teatimeish on a stag do. E and I will come home for her tea then pick DH up on our way to friends tomorrow night. Well thats how its planned!

Shimmer - bet Freddie loves nursery. My friend went back to work last week after a year mat leave and hols. She is a bit upset that her ds has settled so happily at CM.

I'm a bit worried about all this present buying for CM/nursery. Wondering whether I should be doing it. When there are loads of staff at nursery how do you decide what to do? I don;t want to be whispered about as the only mum who didn;t buy a present but I don;t want to spend a fortune either. AAAAGGGHHHHH

Lizzzombie · 14/12/2007 22:44

Vino - I have just got a big tin of biscuits for nursery staff. As Dj has only just started I didnt think I would go overboard.

  • what stocking fillers are you thinking of getting? I have just finished making DP's stocking. Made mine last night, and am making DJ's tomorrow. A new toy shop thing has just opened in town I am sure its not called Harpers Baazar, but its something like that, and it sells lots of stocking fillers, so hoping to get inspiration on my lunch break tomorrow!

Oooh - everyone, have you seen the xmas bibs in Mothercare? £3.99 to £1.99 Little santa bibs things with arms. Very cute for xmas dinner.

SHIMMER!!!!!!!!!! You're back too. Hurrah!

Two days left at work for me, then 3 weeks off!! Can't wait. Just put tree up tonight. HAve got two holidays in that time. Going away for mil 60th and for New Year.

Eah well done on the bazaar (sorry to hear about accident btw. Hope you're ok now)

Vino - good luck in town tomorrow. I don't envy you. Fancy a night out in January?

Lizz - you're making stockings? You always sound so creative am

Hi everyone else. Am off to get nother white wine. Spelling's not so bad tonight. Can't be that drunk afterall.

SproutsRGrEEat · 14/12/2007 22:54

Lizz harepers bazaar uis a great shop. There's one in leeds and have got stuff online too. My SS may well have some uselessful stuff from there if they're lucky

RudolphtherednoseEANDHdeer · 15/12/2007 07:27

Isnt it Hawkins Bazaar?? We have one and my 9 yr old nephew loves it!

Right got to get girls to mil as am working today as is dh, catch up later

walkinginaWILKIEwonderland · 15/12/2007 08:42

UD - dreamt you turned up at my house last night with Z. Weird thing was thought that you were dressed like one of the Stepford Housewives in a floral dress. PMSL

Lizz - sorry about disappearing last night (after I told you not to) but Scrabulous kept timing out and I got bored. It is actually better to play at www.scrabulous.com - games are a lot quicker.

Stocking fillers - I have got quite a few bits from Asda. Went into Debenhams and they had this pack with a 'Pot of Snot and a Pot of Vomit' - me and mum were laughing cos in a few years time J will think that is GREAT.

Can I ask a personal question/poll. How often do you have sex since having LO. Be honest please....!

LadyTophamHatt · 15/12/2007 08:53

it'd be every night if dh didn't work shifts.....

probably averages out at 3 times a week.

why??

walkinginaWILKIEwonderland · 15/12/2007 09:50

Cos we hardly ever do and am getting a bit concerned - it is me not him..

....3 times a week....

LadyTophamHatt · 15/12/2007 09:56

before ds4, Dh was lucky if it was once a month

I think I'm in that mid-30's female sexual paek or something...

XmasTimeIndigestionAndWhines · 15/12/2007 10:53

Think it's been about 3 or 4 times since ds2 was born. That's total, not per week.

laughalotsofpresents · 15/12/2007 11:46

We are 3/4 times a week .

katwith3wisemen · 15/12/2007 16:52

Hi, shouldn't really be on here as I'm supposed to be packing for a 2 nights away, (with kids at MIL as DH got a manchester mmeting on monday, so nothing exciting or romantic)and reading all this doesn't really help. DH has taken kids plus 2 friends to the panto in town. Its a work thing and 65 of them including kids of assorted ages are going. Glad I'm here !

EaH - so glad you are OK, cars are scary things.

Pretty much sorted all my christmas shopping now, managed to eventually win Yoshis island on ebay after a long battle, mainly me being a bit tight fisted and not wanting to pay more than I have too. Just hope it turns up in time !

3-4 times a week ?!?

How do you get any sleeping done ?????

Guess I'm a once maybe twice kind of girl although DH would definitely be up for more.

Oh, he got his test results back. PMSL at whoever had to google gout, yes its the kind of thing fat old business men get He He ! He would not phone for his results, so I called and they told me I had to get an appointment for him, which scared him a bit, so off he did. He's not got gout, it was probably a sprain, but he has got high cholesterol so that needs to be sorted.

He's now saying that with all his 'medical conditions' the docs dont think it s a good idea to get a vasectomy

I told him that if he's got a heart condition then theres going to be no jiggy. So perhaps I should think about adjusting that prvious figure I just disclosed

RudolphtherednoseEANDHdeer · 15/12/2007 17:14

ours varies some months it'll be 1/2 times a week but othertimes can go 6 weeks or so without doing the deed, at the moment dh working 6 days a week at 13-14 hours a day so he is knackered plus the girls have been ill on anf off so I am tired.

Definatley lots less than prior to having them in fact after ellie we didnt do the deed for months and months and then ttc for a while then m/c and getting pg it actually worked out from getting pg to doing it again was 13months

RudolphtherednoseEANDHdeer · 15/12/2007 17:15

have lovely weekned away kw3k maybe you'll be upping your stats this weekend?

bunnyhohohunny · 15/12/2007 18:18

hi
do you like my christmas name? took ages to think of (and sorry I didnt use your suggestion Wilkie )

our thread is nice and busy again! It's great to have you all back and posting!

kw3 - glad it's not gout. hmm,. seems like an excuse not to have a vasectomy if you ask me

Lizz - you make me feel bad about not getting back into my sewing! I am very impressed you made stockings and a quilt.

2happy - how have you got away with only 3 or 4 times since jan?! I think we would be divorced if that happened with us! personally I wouldnt mind, but I think dh would explode in a big ball of jizz (sorry, couldnt resist!). I reckon we are 2 - 3 times per week. unless I can sneak off to bed before dh every night

So, the big question... what are you all doing for 1st birthdays? parties? with who? I am stuck for ideas, but the latest is to take s swimming for the first time.

walkinginaWILKIEwonderland · 15/12/2007 18:42

HunnyHoHo - PMSL 'explode in a big ball of jizz'. Couldn't have put it better myself.

Well I am sat here in a post-coital glow - should be enough for another 6 weeks....heh heh. Only joking. It's great when we do I just haven't the energy to bother...

Parties - am just going to have a family gathering at M&D's house with ILs. Will do big friends do next year - it is DH's 30th a week after J's birthday for which we are going paintballing so have enough expense with that.

RudolphtherednoseEANDHdeer · 15/12/2007 19:23

wheres our chinese ordered it at 6.30 and still not here although dh only got home at 7 (he left at 5am this morning!!)

We are having 2 little parties one on the saturday with friends who have LO's simlar ages (about 8 chidren plus mum/dads)and family party on sunday (around 18 of the close relatives ie nan/grandads/great grandparent/our brother/sisters etc) doing finger food on satrday sandwiches/crisps etc and on the sunday amd cooking a huge lasagne and chilli plus gammon joint and doing jacket potatos and salad bowls

Lizzzombie · 15/12/2007 22:12

Woah! Wilks - You typed that message at 18.30 ish this evening...did you have an afternoon session?!

OP posts:
Lizzzombie · 15/12/2007 22:15

Oh, and 1st birthdays,, my parents and sister and her boys are coming down, plus whoever else is around locally. We are going to the local spft play area. I'm not having maniacal 2 year olds running round my house high on sugar!
Wasn't going to make a big deal of it as its not like he will remember it, but feel a bit bad for thinking that way!

LTH - do you fancy joining us at Treasure Island on the 20th?! (I may smuggle some gin in to help me cope with being dragged up to the top of the soft play area after my twin nephews!)

OP posts:
walkinginaWILKIEwonderland · 15/12/2007 22:18
