GillL · 11/02/2008 13:21

Took both dcs to the out of hours doctor yesterday. Ds has a virus and can only take calpol. Dd has a throat infection and was given anti-biotics. It's a good job I took both of them, I was only going to take ds. He's been sleeping better thanks leifmum and james.

Hi kite. Sounds like an eventful few months. Hope you get settled soon. Well done on bf so long. It's something I am determined to master 3rd time round.

Pinkranger · 11/02/2008 13:31

lizziemun, i musta managed to keep it out of shot just got the kitchen tidied debating if i should attempt the boys room

GillL · 11/02/2008 14:13

Thanks tasha. I think he's on he mend.

Lovely video tasha. Just got round to watching yours too James. I see what you mean about him not keeping still. Ds doesn't really do that but his chair isn't very bouncy.

I'll try and get a video online when ds is better. I'm ashamed to say I have no idea how to get the video from the camera to the pc and then onto youtube. I guess I rely on dh so much as he's such a whizz at IT. We've got hours of video on casette but I can't get dh to put it on the pc or cd. He has plenty of free time to play games but not for anything I need.

Anyone else's dh/dp put the baby down at every/the earliest opportunity? I'll ask mine to take ds cos he's a bit tired or whingy. Next thing I know he's in the bouncer crying.

I'll be there pink. See you about 10.

tasha22 · 11/02/2008 14:34

thanks gill, ill try and get another of lo eating later...or attempting to eat. my dp always makes me feel like im asking a favour when i ask him to take lo for a bit

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 12/02/2008 00:28

Ooh I almost missed Kiteflying's post! How the devil are you, missus? Lovely to hear from you, glad you're finally settled over there and your lo is enjoying life down under, sorry you're a bit homesick, it must be really hard to uproot like that, but I'm sure it'll get better soon. We haven't heard from Katybird for a while either, wonder how she's doing?

Helibee, get well soon honey, hope you're feeling better today.

kinki · 12/02/2008 07:21

Hi everyone, so sorry it's taken me a while to get on here and post. About meeting up - after much dithering about and changing my mind I've decided not to go. Been dithering mainly because of ds2. He goes to pre-school on a tuesday so I'll be cutting it a bit fine to get there for 10, plus I'd have to leave at 11 to collect him, and hope there's no problem with traffic. I was wondering about asking if I could bring him along instead, but as I barely know you guys I didn't think it fair to inflict him on you just yet . Joking aside, ds1 has been showing signs of a uti so he might be off school as well (he was better last night so he'll prob be ok). And that really would be a bit ott if we all turned up! It wouldn't be so bad if dh was around, but he's b*ggered of to america for the week. BUT next time, count me in, for definate. (My credit card is breathing a sigh of relief I've finally made up my mind not to go to bluewater). Have a nice time and I really am sorry for the dithering.

Pinkranger/shrinking - I'm not far from hermitage lane too (the duke end). Many years ago I used to live in the flats behind the nurses home. I know it's a long road but we can't be far apart. I've wasted too much of my life in bloody traffic queues on hermitage lane, mind you tis better since they installed traffic lights outside the hospital (I work in the hospital). (Wasted too much of my life in there too.)

Helibee, I had a scan for gallstones last week. The pain you get is horrible isn't it? Turns out I don't have gallstones (she thought I might have a teeny incy one but then couldn't find it again). So my pain and jaundice (only had it twice) is probably caused by a reaction to one of the drugs I take. I'm being weaned off them now so hopefully it won't happen again. But I feel for you as I know it's not nice at all. Hope they can do something for you.

So who wants to come and clean my house then? I am totally demotivated. And I've got a million people coming round on sunday (ds2's birthday). Last time we had a party (last october) I was in hospital very poorly with pneumonia up until a few days before. Dh arranged for some cleaners to come in just before the party as I was still flat out (and he never quite got round to it while I was in hospital). I'm very tempted to do the same this week. But I have no excuse why I need them this time and no money to pay them. But I'd LOVE not to have to do it. Wouldn't we all.

You're all so good with up to date photos and videos. The last (and only) photo of ds3 I've got on my profile is when he was a couple of weeks old. And I'm supposed to be a photographer . Must pull my finger out and do some more.

Right better go, need to see if ds1 is going to school or if he's going to be under my feet all day. Have fun at the meet up girls, and I'll see you next time. Everyone else, have a good day too.

kinki · 12/02/2008 07:24

Just re-read my post. God, I sound like a real saddo party pooper. And you lot being so nice to include me too. Next time I will definately come to a meet up.

tasha22 · 12/02/2008 10:08

james hope the job is going well and keeping your brain active
this course is driving me insane and just found out im gonna have to go back and do GCSEs i really hate maths!
another one of them days well the same as any other.....

loler · 12/02/2008 12:15

Kite - hello there, I don't remember you saying you were going to australia - you're so brave! There was I whinging about moving 2 miles! Hope everything goes well for you and you make lots of lovely new friends (are you anywhere near Uki?).

Well, we've still not started weaning but ds2 had first try of food, dh gave him a huge scoop of chocolate icecream. He loved it but not sure he'll eat babyrice after that!! So much for the carefully pureed organic veg I gave to PFB! Going to dig the high chair out of the garage and might start giving lumps of stuff next week. Still trying to put off losing my last baby

Had a bit of an embarrising thing last weekend - was at a bd party with ds1, was saying that I don't know how to stop bfing and would be at the school gates at lunchtime, but luckily would be able to get saggy boobs through. Looked around and the father of the bd child was videoing right next to me! Will be nice for the child to look/listen back to in years to come

tasha22 · 12/02/2008 12:56

lol loler

took a walk into town to get some nice pens and file block. really enjoyed the walk and ds1 has been a star.
i gave ds3 potatoe and carrot puree last night and thats his favourite so far prob because it has a sweetness to it.

tasha22 · 12/02/2008 17:24

how cute

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 12/02/2008 20:41

Hi just popping in quick, tasha that's very cute, but it says the video is over 2 mins long and it only shows 22 seconds of it, bit strange!

Uploaded another little vid here nothing exciting, he was playing nicely with a new toy then I got the camera out and he threw a bit of a diva strop.

Job going ok thanks. Hope you're all ok, loler it happens to the best of us, my boobs have migrated south for the winter and they ain't never coming back! The weightloss doesn't help either, the more padding I lose the less belly related support they have! Can't even blame it on bf as we didn't do it past 4 months! lol

Can't talk long because I'm so tired, been minding my 13 yr old nephew for the day. He's lovely but exhausting! Bye for now x

tasha22 · 12/02/2008 21:14

lol james is so cute theres allot of that grumpyness in this house as you can tell from ds2 on my last video. not sure why its not showing it all. i clicked on the link and it showed all of it? well cant stay on long either have to do some course work. oh how did the meetup go??

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 12/02/2008 21:17

Just had to pop back on to say that J uttered hs "first word" today, a gently sighed "pooooo" He didn't quite understand why we were all falling about laughing!

Any other accidental "words" from the babies?
