Can't remember the date exactly...I know it was early September. It was in Bolton and they had a Ceileigh (how on earth do you spell that!) at the reception.

NorthernLurker · 22/11/2007 22:08

OOOOooooooooooooooohhhhhhhh - thought I recognised the churchyard - we were there! I felt as sick as a dog - and had to conceal it has hadn't said anything to anyone. It's a small world isn't it!

normabutty · 22/11/2007 22:12

It is a small world!

I only just managed to fit in my skirt because I bought it before I got pregnant!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 22/11/2007 22:13

that's just bleedin scary

and don't all churches have bells

NorthernLurker · 22/11/2007 22:15

we were a bit late to the church because I felt so sick after the journey that we had to stop at a Mcdonalds for coke etc to settle my tummy. It was a lovely wedding wasn't it? How weird that we were both there expecting April babies!

NorthernLurker · 22/11/2007 22:17

Hi POTC - Not all churches - our church doesn't have bells - the bells in question were being very ably rung in peals at the time

normabutty · 22/11/2007 22:19

The church I got married in only had one bell

I should also remember that the church did have bells cos Meg used to do bell ringing there I think.

NorthernLurker · 22/11/2007 22:22

Yep that's the one!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 22/11/2007 22:26

ah, we have 4 Parish Churches here in our local group, they all have bells

I used to do ringing a little bit, many years ago!

nutty is now scouring her pictures trying to work out which one you are NL

and your dd1 is the image of the daughter of a friend of mine, she was born 2 days after M

OP posts:
NorthernLurker · 22/11/2007 22:31

Shouldn't be too difficult - I was the one who looked interestingly pale

dd1 was a very cute baby - and still is of course - always had BIG brown eyes

CaptainDippy · 22/11/2007 23:10

Just popping in to say "goodnight" ladies enjoy the SE Meet-Up tomorrow - don't miss me too much!! xx

CaptainDippy · 22/11/2007 23:12

Awwwwwwww, norma - Erin is completely adorable! xx

elkiedee · 22/11/2007 23:20

Gosh, what a funny coincidence that Nutty and NL were at the same wedding.

I think I've come up with a workable solution to the sink problem. I won't be able to sound out the builder until Sunday morning as he's away in Italy for a few days but Homebase said that they would refund me for the sink if I could find one somewhere else. They don't have the sinks in stock at the shop. Wickes which is about the same distance from our house (less than a mile) though more difficult to drive to has sinks to take away. So I think we'll just get an alternative. I'm not fussy, really, just want a sink we can wash up in and get running water from, really!

I hope that you're ok UW if you come back to read this thread before we move on to a next one.

Sounds like you were great at your new job Pesha, hope it continues to go well and that your other one is sorted out for you.

We didn't get out of the house in time for the cinema today, I didn't want to wake D up before he did or to stop him having a good chance to eat, as the film was really more a treat for me than him.

So, I took him to visit work instead. Managed to see my boss and the guy I work directly for, and most of the people I wanted to go and say hi to, so that was good. And I tried to find out who to contact in Human Resources - one of my colleagues did her best but they've been restructured almost out of existence! I'll have to chase it up further as I can't really afford to wait until February to see if I get paid or not - my maternity leave ends in January then I'm on annual leave for 5 weeks.

elkiedee · 22/11/2007 23:24

Maveta, hope your break in Madrid is fun.

Hope meet ups on Friday and Saturday go well too, and I look forward to hearing a report back. It will be interesting to see how the babies react to each other, it has been to see how D and another post natal group baby reacted to each other a few months on.

Arse
Have just realised that I have no idea where in Basingstoke this place is
well, Ange has my mobile number, and I have hers, and I think I have IDOC's number too
so I will just bombard you with texts (or Skott will, you'll know by the txt spk content ) when we get there and hope someone answers me!

PLEASE NOTE
I will not be impressed if you all abandon me and hide in Basingstoke, leaving me wandering randomly with no idea where you are

Have a great time today SE lot!! I'll be thinking of you all! xx

Right, need to go and get girlies ready to walk DD1 to Pre-School ..... roll on January when I can leave DD2 there as well!

Eddas · 23/11/2007 08:47

ds has just done a couple of forward crawling movements

Double dd didn't wake up til just after 7.30 shame ds woke at 5 but then went back to sleep til just gone 8 Why can't they work it out so they both sleep the same times POO

Have a great meet up ladies turns out, because dd has the pox, that i could've come but i'll spare you the threat of pox because she has a couple of non-scabby spots still I am going to take her to soft play today though as she is seriously driving me nuts because she is SO bored.

Am going to start getting my secret santa bits this week. Has everyone who doesn't want something/can't have it said so? And does anyone know how much we are spending?

Eddas · 23/11/2007 09:06

found the email which says how much to spend

How exciting, I get to do more present shopping

StealthPolarBear · 23/11/2007 09:35

Morning everyone
I HAD LOADS OF SLEEEEEEEEEEEP
Was still up at 1 and 5, but DH put him to sleep last night, and we agreed some coping strategies, he also told me that I don't have to panic about T crying thinking it might wake him up.
After the 5am feed he was wide awake but not crying so I put him in his cot and went to bed, he fell asleep and...he's still there now!
Oh he's just woken up. Anyway, better go give breakfast then negotiate world peace / find a cure for common cold, or something else where you need lots of sleep!

PeshaCake · 23/11/2007 09:51

YAY for lots of sleep spb

Didnt happen here unfortunately But I think its the same thing as happened before, he starts waking up all through the night cos hes ill but now hes better its just become habit. Said to dp this morning that we need to start getting serious now his weight is not such a worry and get him sleeping on his own.

Have to go out now, might waffle on at you all abit more about sleep when i get back!

Am also very and about the meet up. Would have really liked to go and see everyone again but too far, no money and now of course I have work!

CaptainDippy · 23/11/2007 10:03

Yey to good night, SPB - I was really hopingy ou might have a better night, it has been tough for you over the last week or so. xx

I am of the meet-ups too, Pesha ... sob.

elkiedee · 23/11/2007 10:17

Glad to hear you had a better night SPB. D was up for quite a long time, from 1 am until after 3. I'm now making the most of having got him down for a morning nap before I take him swimming.

Uh? My area is on the TV as a potential "boom area" to invest in . I'll believe it when I see it.

Hope the meetup goes well and that Ellie finds you all.

CaptainDippy · 23/11/2007 10:25

Get some rest while he is sleeping now, Elkie! xx
