oh runny - I think you are added now? I don´t go on facebook much these days I´m afraid so I wasn´t ignoring you on purpose, honest!

CaptainDippy · 22/11/2007 18:39

Bless Maia Pesha - your 1st day sounds like complete madness!

Brain's emptied of everything else Need to help DH get little nutters out of the bath ......

NorthernLurker · 22/11/2007 18:44

Pesha - that is so sweet of Maia!
Dippy - did P have a better afternoon, come to that did you?

AndaPinionsinaPearTree · 22/11/2007 18:47

cos said brother is about to visit with the "new" girlfriend, the one I was telling you all about! Long story, but they are due in about 20 mins.

Pesha - big smile when I read about dd, v cute .

Sol - we have had from day 1 feeding and food "issues" with ds1 as in only eating sausages/pasta until the age of 3 so I have gone in at the deep end this time, giving every kind of different food under the sun. Poor bugger, but I am determined not to make the same food mistakes this time around.

NL/Sol. I have on one occasion suffered from chronic psoriasis (and I definitely know how to spell it). There is such a lack of support and research it is shocking. The most worrying thing is that for me the only thing that cleared it up was this pregnancy and it was almost like a miracle. I was promised by "everyone" that the minute I popped it would come back with a vengeance but to this day it still hasn't. I pray that it doesn't come back - ever - or not at least to the same extent. I also used the Dovobet cream and it is awful - and totally ruins all your nightware and bed linen. Bummer.

Although its not much use right now the only thing that really helped was the SUN along with SEA WATER.

NorthernLurker · 22/11/2007 18:54

Pinions - the cons mentioned sun for dd - fat chance in this climate! The patches are mostly on her legs and she didn't feel light treatment was needed at present - which is good because trekking back and forth would have been a major pita! As dd is 9 - I'm hoping consumption of red wine won't be an issue for some time Actually cons though the bad throat dd had last Feb may have started it off - I've read in a leaflet she gave me that 50% of cases where it starts in childhood can be traced to that. The first patches certainly appeared shortly thereafter. I feel a bit bad about this bt I know I couldn't have done anything to stop this - the throat was only grotty for a day or so and didn't require GP visit/ antibiotics to clear it up.

AndaPinionsinaPearTree · 22/11/2007 19:01

I know I was really referring to sol (not sure if you drink red wine sol but still!).I have been known to have the odd glass and noticed it did kind of flare up afterwards.

Mine also started after a strep B throat infection. Also dead sea salts for the bath are v v good . Anyway, fingers crossed for your daughter, it is awful. Phototherapy works but it is a total bummer having to trek back and forth from the hospital 3 times a week for a matter of 20 secs in light booth.

Right brother on his way, wish me luck!!

AndaPinionsinaPearTree · 22/11/2007 19:03

Katy - never meant to single you out in bold!!! (honestly), got sidetracked by bathtime!

Still hope you get a bit more sleep tonight and I will watching for noted improvements - you hear .

oooggs · 22/11/2007 19:10

hey pinions dish the dirt on new girlfriend when they have gone

NorthernLurker · 22/11/2007 19:13

Good Luck - I'm sure she'll be lovely. Just popped out to shop - is absolutely freezing here!

AndaPinionsinaPearTree · 22/11/2007 19:59

she's heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere

StealthPolarBear · 22/11/2007 20:03

Hello everyone
Well, evening bathtime has just finished, we needed to wash the yoghurt off him!
He seems to be getting tired...we'll see
Another psoriasis sufferer here, on my scalp. Pg did help and it doesn't seem to have come back as badly, Dovonex (I assume is scalp version of stuff you're talking about) seems to help when i can be bothered to apply it!
Well off for a feed, hopefully the bedtime one!

normabutty · 22/11/2007 20:10

ok, I forgot to post earlier and then MN went wierd when I was on earlier and I couldn't get on.

MJ/UW - hope you're ok.

I've just won 3 lots of wool on ebay , now just have to let mum know she has lots of knitting to do .

Might try to get some new pics on my profile tonight but don't know how long it'll take me (have to find the lead first!)

Sexonlegs · 22/11/2007 20:25

Pinions, thank you so much for your post. Mine went during pregnancy as well but is bad atm. Sat here with a glass of red wine!!

PeshaCake · 22/11/2007 20:34

Ahh thank you all it was lovely, was also quite funny the second time she did it one of the other dinner ladies got to her first and she didnt know what to say

Liath I had been meaning to say about ds1s sleeping problems after reading about your dd but kept forgetting. He's never been great at sleeping and daddy's not helped by lying down with him to get him to sleep in the past but lastb few months its got really bad. He was falling asleep in our bed then when i went up I'd take him into his bed and he'd generally be ok. But now even my bed 'gets him dreams' so he wants to be with maia.

Forgotten everything else.

AndaPinionsinaPearTree · 22/11/2007 20:52

Well they have been and gone. I must have come across as crazed sister cos I asked her about 101 questions, poor girl. She seemed very nice and I feel much happier having her at the christening now that I've met her .

AndaPinionsinaPearTree · 22/11/2007 21:14
