I do sound petty.

But why didn't she think to check woth us first? Obv, as I'm not back in work, its no real problem. But she just assumed.

Sexonlegs · 22/11/2007 12:42

Hi all

Have read stuff and bloody forgotten it all!

Runny, I don't think you are being petty at all. You need to know when it comes to work/childcare, that you have a reliable solution. I know you were not going to be going to work, but that isn't the point. Has she offered to have them another day as a trial?

I go back the same day as you

Maveta, hope you have a wonderful time. It is hard leaving them for the first time, but I am sure it will all be fine, and you will be back before you know it.

Hope everyone else is ok.

I have been invited to a murder mystery party - my role.... a belly dancer!!!!

Does anyone have any belly dancing gear I could borrow? Happy to pay post and packaging!

CaptainDippy · 22/11/2007 12:46

Can defnitely see if I can borrow some belly-dancing stuff for you SOL, if you like!!? Seeing one of my BF's today and she is into bellydancing in a BIG way!

P awake again

Don't think you are petty AT ALL runny - you need to know she is going to be reliable and not let you down at the drop of a hat when you actually do go back to work. xx

runnyhabbit · 22/11/2007 12:48

no other solution was offered.

have to go and pick J up from nursery.

really fecked off with her. this is the woman that puts "hope to see you soon" on birthday/christmas/easter cards, and only lives 20mins away

the only positive thing I can think about her atm is that she produced dh

StealthPolarBear · 22/11/2007 12:50

SLEEP - have just seen this linked to on another thread.
runny, you're not being petty, it's important to know she won't let you down.
SOL, afraid I can't help but GMM may have some nipple tassles you can borrow

Sexonlegs · 22/11/2007 12:51

Blimey SPB. The rest of the guests are all managers from my work - can you imagine if I turned up with those!!!

StealthPolarBear · 22/11/2007 12:55

it would break the ice

Sexonlegs · 22/11/2007 13:02

I think it would give my boss a heart attack! He is a bit pervy!!

Sexonlegs · 22/11/2007 13:07

Grrrr. Why will K not sleep for more than half an hour after her lunch!!!!! I used to get at least an hour. I am ignoring her as she is not crying. Just she has done this for the last 3 days, and then by 5.00 she is totally done in and not interested in tea, and falls asleep on her bedtime bottle.

Babies, who'd have 'em!

StealthPolarBear · 22/11/2007 13:12

Have left T screamikng upstairs

underwire · 22/11/2007 13:12

Hi all. Wont be around for a bit, have a few issues going on which I wont go into here. I am fine, just need time to sort other stuff out just now. I wont forget my secret santa recipient (once I have made the decision what to buy!), will send it on asap.

Lol at sol with nipple tassles If your boss is pervy he wouldnt see the end of the party, would be passed out on the floor well before that!

NL, wanted to say that I hope your dh finds a new job really soon, such a stressful thing and at the worst possible time of year {{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}

Runny, not unreasonable at all. Think you and I have the same MIL!

Maveta, have a fab time in Madrid. Glad you have reached a decision you are happy with

OK, will be off now. Take care all, will be back soon I am sure xxx

underwire · 22/11/2007 13:17

Oops, meant to say SPB I really hope you sort out T's sleeping. It is a nightmare and I really sympathise with you. Ds did it for months to us, although he never slept well from day 1. We ended up using cc on him, hard to do but it really did work.

Bye all xxx

Sexonlegs · 22/11/2007 13:18

Oh UW. I hope you are ok. You will be missed.

Eddas, meant to say ikwym re relationship with dh. I feel like we are flatmates. I barely see him - he is so busy with work, that as soon as he gets home, he is back on the laptop. I go to bed before him and am usually asleep by the time he comes up and then we wake up and it's the same old same old.

We are off to Dublin in December for a night, so will finally have some time together. My mad parents have agreed to have the girls for 2 nights!!!!!

StealthPolarBear · 22/11/2007 13:19

thjat was horrible

StealthPolarBear · 22/11/2007 13:20

Lucewits · 22/11/2007 13:34

Underwire, hope that you are ok x

Still having a crap week.

S is poorly with this dreaded lurgy and I am having the opposite problem to Liath. S will eat solids but wont drink any milk. He hasn't fed from me in 48 hrs so probably wont have much milk left by the time this clears My poor boy cried most of the night.

Have had one really lovely treat A huge thankyou to GMM for my little box of yummy mummy treats. So kind and thoughtful of you and very much appreciated. It really cheered me up.
Hopefully see you and little C when S is feeling brighter.

Thanks again everyone for the kind thoughts and prayers. All ok here. Dh doing good work withn his cv etc. I took dd1 to see the dermatologist this am for her psioaris (can't spell it and cannot be bothered right now to look it up!) Anyway she has suggested some new stuff which she is very confident will work and dd1 seemed very happy and interested in the whole thing B was very good and only pulled the consultant's hair once
Went into town then and a horrid thing happened - I was in a very busy shop making my way (with pram) to the shelf I needed past people. I said 'excuse me' and steered on carefully but because elderly chap and wife were so intent on what they were looking at I'm not sure they heard and I had to pass very close to them - I think I caught the back of the chap's foot or bag possibly - certainly not with any force. Anyway then he started chunterinng to his wife very loudly about how I'd 'pushed my way past with my by pram' I was absolutely mortified - wanted to turn round and say that it was an accident etc but I realised if I did I was just going to burst into tears (feeling a bit anxious and vulnerable atm - no surprise really ) so I just escaped asap. The thing is I am so careful with the pram normally - it's just really upset me.

Anyway - on the bright side, my friend has sent me some lovely flowers and I've just hada gorgeous pecan brownie with my lunch!

Maveta - well done on your decision - have a great time.

Dippy - will P have a longer sleep this pm do you think?

StealthPolarBear · 22/11/2007 14:20

What an idiot NL but you were right not to try to argue, that kind of person wouldn't listen
Hope your DD's psoriasis clears with the new stuff.

CaptainDippy · 22/11/2007 14:22

Boo - left P screaming in her car seat in the front room and she is well out of it now, poor love. I am meeting a friend this pm and we've been trying to see each other for weeks now so I really, really didn't want to cancel - Am I a very mean mummy!!? Anyway she is having a little sleepy now and hopefully I might even be able to get her into the car in a mo to go into town - Oh no, she is awake and screaming again. Pants.

Sorry S is so ill, Luce - hope she gets over it soon and wants boobie back ......

Can't remember anything else, head full of screaming ........

Oh NL and to that thoughtless couple in town - don't take it too much to heart love - You are just feeling a bit vulnerable and emotional atm - I am always very careful with my pram too and I get so hurt when people give me "evils" etc .....

Right, should go .......
