zazas · 18/11/2007 21:35

yep neutral for the time being until the plastic tat / glitter glue and the dc's 3000 soft toys move in - then you won't recognise it!

CaptainDippy · 18/11/2007 21:53

LOL @ tractor - neeeeeeeed bed so night, night ladies. xxxx

CaptainDippy · 18/11/2007 21:56

Ooooh, house looks lovely Zazas - Bugger me, you can get A LOT of house for your money "oop noorff", can't you!!? Does it have a garden??

CaptainDippy · 18/11/2007 21:57

Aaaaah I see now - courtyard - is it on a major road??

zazas · 18/11/2007 22:04

Well CD it is not on a main road but a little dead end country lane, with about 6 other houses, fields at the end, and a river down the way! Only garden is at front which is bigger than looks, just needs some tlc and courtyard thing at back, not huge but big enough and lots of space around for kids to play. And yes you can get a lot more for your money oop noorf!! There are always people moving up here who are shocked at what they can buy

NorthernLurker · 18/11/2007 22:30

Love the house - that was someone's SECOND home?? Alarmed at the thought of what their FIRST one would be like All the best with the move - I'm very calm about ours, really I am. Even stopped gnawing the carpet now

zazas · 18/11/2007 22:41

I know NL a 2nd home ! That is why I was getting just a tiny bit MAD at the niggling over the last £2000, they haven't even lived in the place for a year! I am not at all zen about the move - bad enough getting 5 kids to get ready to get out of the house, let alone move all their stuff - I will be a wreck by xmas

StealthPolarBear · 19/11/2007 06:53

Morning
aah I have had major MN withdrawal symptoms
at Leo cruising and Charlie standing up! If this is coming in the next few months I think I'd like to move to a bungalow where we all sleep on the floor
Well house looks fairly empty, I really hope we are moving in a week or life will be miserable! What are the chances the solicitors will throw a spanner in the works?

oooggs · 19/11/2007 06:59

StealthPolarBear · 19/11/2007 07:01

hi oooggs

oooggs · 19/11/2007 07:03

morning katy - don't envy you packing up and moving but will be worth it.

I live in a 'funny' house it is a self build (we didn't do it!!) and upstairs we have the childrens bedrooms x2, bathroom, living room, dining room, kitchen & utility so it is like bungalow living and with 3 I am appriciating it

you come in the front door downstairs to a bedroom (ours nearly finished!), toilet, cellar, study & double garage.

It is built on a hill so downstairs front door on the road level and upstairs backdoor straight into the garden.

oooggs · 19/11/2007 07:04

x posts - I am so slow typing!!

NorthernLurker · 19/11/2007 07:57

Good Morning all - utterly foul morning here! Will be back when we've waded to school and I've taken refuge in supermarket briefly

liath · 19/11/2007 08:28

Morning! What a day, ooggs, feel knackered just reading about it!

Lovely house zazas. Good luck for the move.

Eek at cruising babies! Ds is crawling but still can't sit. I reckon it's becuase he thinks "why sit still when I can get to those electrical cables and chew them...".

I was just getting over my lurgy and have promptly gone down with another cold. DH is on nights and my parents are on holiday (3 weeks in Cuba ) so no respite this week. Whinge.

Am off to my GP this morning to sort out some contraception. Don't know why I'm bothering frankly - what with Dh's shifts, snot flying everywhere and dd still too scared to sleep in her own bedroom the chances of any action are looking very slim indeed. And why why why didn't I do more pelvic floor exercises??????

StealthPolarBear · 19/11/2007 08:34

sorry you're feeling ill liath
oooggs your house does sound unique! sounds very interesting

Maveta · 19/11/2007 08:35

Morning! At work so just popping in to say hi. Crappy weekend here, dh had either a virus or food poisoning and had diarrhea and vomiting and N seems to be teething again. So with dh being all weak and pathetic I had no respite from looking after baby and right now I'm finding it all rather exhausting. Nights are crap again but I won't bore you all, hopefully is just the teething and will settle down again. it all feels a bit much this morning, I am so happy to be at work. dh called me just now to ask me what we needed from the supermarket (!) and I could hear N moaning and whinging in the background and I had to get off the phone, I just couldn't bear to hear it anymore.

StealthPolarBear · 19/11/2007 08:46

oh maveta that sounds awful Hope you can have a bit of a rest at work Our nights are terrible at the moment too, must be the psychic connection thing again
Right off to fill a few more boxes

Maveta · 19/11/2007 08:56

Hope the packing is going well..

dh called to say he's taken the day off work so him and N might come to see me at work at some point this afternoon. I really want to tell him not to, I just need to not see either of them for a few hours. Is that awful of me?

Eddas · 19/11/2007 09:08

morning everyone. I do not envy the house movers. will be worth it in the end though

I think dd has chicken pox. she actually smiled when i told her Her favourite boy at preschool was off with it for a week or so Taking her to the doctors later as she keeps moaning about her ladybits being itchy and hurting Sure it's not to do with the spots so want to get it checked out. Also think she has excema(why can't I spell that word) on her hands so want doctor to look at that too. Poor little thing, sounds like she's falling apart She's fine within herself though, which is good.

Nothing else to report. Well except I spent yesterday feeling rough. Not sure why.

Off to see to a cute little man

elkiedee · 19/11/2007 09:33

Morning all

Oooggs, busy day, particularly with all of your little ones. Don't know how you manage.

SMB, hope you get to move quickly and that things don't get held up. Is it your solicitor or someone else's you're worrying about.

Don't envy the work of moving house but I do long to be back up north.

Maveta, I understand what you're saying about work and wanting a break from home. Can you plead a meeting or something you need to get on with urgently? Or tell him that you need a break until it's time to go home anyway?

Weather is horrid, but forecast is that it will be a little better later, I hope so because I want to take D out to Jolly Babies this afternoon. It's 25 or 30 minutes walk so it's a little too far if it's chucking it down as it has been, and getting on the bus is much more difficult. I can keep D dry wiht his buggy cover but it's more of a problem for me.

I'm also hoping for a courier redelivery of some small items, but I've decided I'll start getting us ready to leave the house at 1 pm anyway and get on to John Lewis about my stuff if it hasn't come. While the Royal Mail can be irritating, I hate the private courier companies soooooo much (sorry to anyone who works for them, but wait in all day or collect something from Barking? I don't have a car, and why do you f**ing think I ordered it for home delivery?)

D's asleep in his cot - he dozed off on my lap without having to be taken out, which is cool. I would have done it, but it's better to be able to put him in his sleeping bag and cot than jumper/coat/blankets/buggy/raincover - a bit much if he's then asleep for more than an hour, really.

Going to finish my breakfast while he sleeps, now. I hope!

Have a good day all.

StealthPolarBear · 19/11/2007 10:01

Wow have just had a shower in peace
Thanks elkie, it's both solicitors I suppose. We're signing stuff on Tuesday, and we want to move the Tuesday or Wednesday after, so it's up to him whether we can complete by then I think. And considering he sent out a letter to us 2nd class asking me to call him to make an appointment, he doesn't move quickly Why he didn't just ring me I don't know, obviously would be too much like common sense. I know they charge for each letter but I'd rather he called me and charged me anyway, would have saved about 5days!

Sexonlegs · 19/11/2007 10:25

Morning all!

Had a look through all your chatterings, and can't remember a God damn thing!!

CD, I am really sorry you won't be joining us in Basingstoke but I can totally understand why.

Zaza's, the house is stunning, and I too am amazed at the price - fabulous!

SMB, hope things go smoothly for you and the house move. I don't envy you!

Oooggs, enjoy your mad day!

Eddas, hope dd is ok.

Maveta, ikwym re needing space from dh and dc. It is one of the reasons I go to work!!!

Liath/everyone who is feeling pants, hope you feel better soon.

Elkie, hope you are ok today.

UW, hope you are ok too flower - you sounded very down over the weekend.

Hi to everyone else I haven't mentioned.

Had a great weekend with the inlaws - they are fab with the girls and we really were waited on hand and foot. Shame B woke at 5.45 on Sunday! Went to a plate painting place, and K and B have both done footprints on plates, and they are gorgeous.

Still feeling a bit coldy, and poor K has a chesty cough. She doesn't seem bothered by it thankfully. Medised has been out in force though!

I am getting stuck in a rut with K's food - all she has is pureed veg and cereal at tea time. What sort of menu are your lo's having? I feel so uninspired!

Waffled on way too much

CaptainDippy · 19/11/2007 10:45

Boo! To bad nights. {{{hugs}}}

Hope GP appt goes ok Eddas and GP can help poor falling apart DD out My DD1 keeps complaining that her ladybits are sore and itchy too - can't see anything obviously wrong - no redness etc

That's what I was thinking, Zazas - that the front garden looks like a great place to chuck a few toys into for LO's to play as well as having the back courtyard - just as long as you weren't on a main road, which you aren't ......

Ooooooh, all these people moving, exciting!

Your house sounds mad, oooggs!

Not bad of you not to want DH to bring N into work, Maveta - work and home are very separate things imho and work is the child-free place you need to escape to - I would feel exactly the same. xx

DH supposed to be off today and tomorrow, but got called into work this am Grrrrrr! Will be coming out with us this pm though and off tomorrow, yey!

StealthPolarBear · 19/11/2007 10:47

Morning Dippy, hope you all enjoy this afternoon, are you going anywhere nice?

underwire · 19/11/2007 10:50

Morning all. Feeling a bit brighter here this morning which is nice! I just seem to have the odd crap day, but when I do its really crap and I just feel teary and miserable.

Maveta, not at all bad to need some space from dh and N. Totally normal actually, especially when you have had a crappy weekend of it. Agree with the suggestion of making up a meeting as a reason they cant come to see you. Or alternatively, just be brutally honest. My brutal honesty with dh over the last few weeks seems to have worked wonders and he has been much more helpful since. It shows that your dh feels the need for company as he wants to come and see you. You have managed with N for months without any help from him during the day IYKWIM. Sorry, bit rambly, hope you understand what I am getting at

Zazas, that house looks fab! I would love a bigger house, unfortunately dont have a bigger salary to accommodate it!
