geordiemacminx · 20/11/2007 10:11

Lucewits · 20/11/2007 10:18

Hello ladies

Postie not been yet GMM, it is before 2pm though
Would love to meet up if you are free this week. Think that it is just today that I have commitments otherwise just need to attempt to put my house back into some kind of order.

to having lots of poorly babies on the thread.

Goodluck with the packing and house moves SPB and Zazas. Zazas that house is gorgeous.

CaptainDippy · 20/11/2007 10:18

Hi GMM

geordiemacminx · 20/11/2007 10:23

Hopefully it'll be there soon...its just standard first class. How about Thursday? I'll bring cakes???

Hey cd!!

Got a mystery shopping thing to do today then C is it at the dentist this afternoon... apparently its just to get him used to going but my dentist is all women...sectrely I think they just want to swoon over him

Lucewits · 20/11/2007 10:28

Thanks GMM, thursday sounds good and cakes sound even better

CD, difficult to comment on here because people 'lurk'

Lucewits · 20/11/2007 10:28

LOL at dentist swooning

Bramshott · 20/11/2007 10:34

Ok, have randomly read through parts of the thread and probably read loads of messages out of context!

CD - T-shirts sound great - count me in!

IDOC - good luck with the viewing! House prices round here are just barking aren't they - the one two down from us is on at the moment, smaller than ours, and with a hell of a lot of problems (not currently occupied, damp, chimney falling down etc), and they want £380k for it . Surely prices haven't really gone up that much since we moved last - it was only 2 years ago! Mind you, I think you do always end up 'stretching' your price limit - every house we've ever bought has been one we couldn't quite afford!

Did someone ask what the babies were eating? Always happy to document with fascination what my litte guzzle-monster is putting away!
breakfast - 1 weetabix & 1/2 banana
lunch - something with meat - roast lamb with veg this week as that's what we had at the weekend! Or often fish with cheese sauce and veg as I usually have that in the freezer. Followed by a yoghurt (one of those yeo valley kids ones)
dinner - usually something not with meat - cauliflower or broccoli cheese, or some Annabel Karmel lentil recipie. FOllowed by a Organix fruit pot
And in between rice cakes, baby biscuits (bad mummy) and not much milk!
Her portion sizes are about double the ones for 6-9 months in the Annabel Karmel book - she seems to need to eat A LOT!!
I do think that this is sort of the worst time for food - they're eating three meals a day, but can't eat much of what you are yet, so there seems to be a neverending tyranny of cooking and freezing little meals - blaargghh!

SE Ladies - what time are we meeting at The Anvil on Friday? Might have to combine with a trip to Early Learning which is just across the road?

CaptainDippy · 20/11/2007 10:46

Feel free to email me, Luce - email address below along with T-shirt offer ....

Hi Bramshott - will pop your name down for one - will advertise colours etc when I've been to Tesco / Primark - what size would you need? Can do one for O & N if you like!!?

P eats and eats and eats - she is such a pork chop ......

Sexonlegs · 20/11/2007 10:56

So many poorly babes.

Luce, good to see you and hope you are feeling brighter soon.

GMM, lol at C going to the dentist!!

Bramshott, I think we are meeting from 10.30 onwards.

CD, I would love a T shirt each for the girls for next summer. So would need a 1-2 and a 5-6 both PINK!!! Are you sure you have the time to do this???

Hi to everyone else. Hope you are having a good day. xx

StealthPolarBear · 20/11/2007 11:05

go on I'll have a t shirt too!

liath · 20/11/2007 11:18

Luce - was going to email you to see if you wanted to meet up or do softplay or something. Sorry things are pants.

There was a lovely lady at the sainsbos checkout today - J was wailing so she opened up a new checkout lane. An old lady barged in ahead of me and the check-out lady told her to let me in first then packed my bags for me . Old lady looked most put-out even though I'd been waiting longer than her.....

CaptainDippy · 20/11/2007 12:18

Yes it is fine, SOL - I enjoy having a project!

Nice one Liath Boo Sucks to grumpy old ladies!!

So far I have the following people for T-Shirts ......

Bramshott
SexonLegs
StealthPolarBear

Need sizes and colour preferences, please ....

Do you mind me doing this btw, SPB?? - Sorry, feel very - Just pushed in on your idea and you might be feeling a bit cross and put-out - let me know if you are .....

PeshaCake · 20/11/2007 12:24

Hi all

Too tired and braindead to remember anything, sorry. Having one of those days.

Also have mystery shopping thing today. Dont really want to do it but desperately need money so have to and sure it wont be that bad, im just having one of those days where i dont want to do anything!

I have a training day tomorrow for a telesales from home thing, its an after school tutorial type company so phoning primary schools and then any interested parents. Its 9.30 til 2.30 and about 45 mins drive so the longest I've ever been without D! Not sure how dp is gonna cope with him as D is still having several breast feeds in that time normally. But I did manage to get him to take a bottle the other day and he's back to eating quite a bit so should be okay.

And Thiursday I start work at the primary school. She asked when i could start now crb is back, I said thurs she said ok see you then! I asked if i should turn up early at all and she said oh yeah come about quarter to 12 (start at 12) and she'll get one of he other ladies to show me what to do. In 15 minutes! So straight in at the deep end with a class full of screaming 5 and 6 yos Remind me why I went for this?!?

CaptainDippy · 20/11/2007 12:40

Go for it Pesha - I am sure DP will be fine, sometimes you have just got to get out and do stuff, iykwim!!? {{{{hugs}}}

StealthPolarBear · 20/11/2007 12:43

Really quick post as am meant to be going out but bleurgh at weather! Pesha, you will be fine, although 15 mins does sound short!
CD, no of course I don't mind Although if you want to make it up to me I'll settle for you coming round and doing my ironing
colour - anything other than pink is fine, red if poss, yellow, green, blue, white - not fussed Can you pick your own colour? Could it be a 9-12 one? (if not then the next size up)
Are you sure you don't mind doing this??

Eddas · 20/11/2007 12:43

CD, i'll have 2 t-shirts if you don't mind will email you, but i'd like a pink in 4-5 and blue in 9-12mths

I HATE ironing

It seems most people are atm. Hopefully christmas will cheer us all up I'm thinking after all my boredom being at home that my calender for the next few weeks is madness. Working 3pms plus 3 hours of an evening each week plus all the usual social events that christmas brings, head hurst evening contemplating it all

CaptainDippy · 20/11/2007 12:48

Don't mind at all - it'll be rather fun!

Right, need to get on as the beast is awake and needs to eat ......

StealthPolarBear · 20/11/2007 12:50

Should not be still here but lol at this

oooggs · 20/11/2007 12:54

yes please I would like t shirts too!!!!!
pink & blue 12-18 mths (for next summer) but I don't do any ironing

CaptainDippy · 20/11/2007 12:58

LOL SPB

Gosh - T-shirts are popular ....

bumble75 · 20/11/2007 14:23

So much for me being back! I am currently writing lists of lists of things I need to do before we leave... and I can't even remember when we leave since my head is full of snot at the moment (sorry tmi!).

Why did I think it was a good idea to invite the in-laws over a week before we left? And why did L and I have to get colds now???? Bleurrrggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I will be sending my Secret Santa next week but only because I will be out of the country after that . Whoever has me, I am happy to have it waiting for me when I get back from Aus. Hope that doesn't sound funny, just mean don't go to any trouble to send it before we leave as I am trouble maker of group by being away for all of December which is key Secret Santa time.

L has of course woken up as I am typing this and is now trying to type and bash the keyboard with her dummy so I best away...

CD, I would love one of those t-shirts - pink and 12-18 months? I hate ironing!

WO - I know an ultra competitive Mum - her greatest hit was giving weaning tips to the mother of a seven month old baby when her son was only 12 weeks and not even thinking about solids! Her son who of course sleeps through the night every night and is the most calm, laid back baby ever.... she even remarked once that she found having a baby 'easy'....

Hugs and manly pats on the back to everyone...

CaptainDippy · 20/11/2007 14:44

Can't believe you are off to Aus, bumble - very exciting - how long are you going for??

elkiedee · 20/11/2007 16:24

Another really awful night here - D awake for absolutely ages and we had a row because we didn't agree over how to react - dp wanted to believe that he'd go back to sleep and accused me of wanting to wake him up. We've made up but I still feel wretched.

We had baby massage this morning and a guy came to fix the sitting room radiator that's been weird for a year this afternoon and seems to know what he's doing, think it will be fixed under the service cover. I may still cancel the policy but I will make it clear that I'm happy with his efforts if I do.

SMB and CD, what a great idea, I like it when ideas get cross fertilised that way. I'd love a t shirt - 9-12 and any colour but pink - don't know if it would be better to go for a choice of 2 or 3 colours or to choose one that works for boys, girls and those whose mummies want to keep people guessing.

Sorry for no personals. I'm going to go for a bit now, had the chance for a long post while my very kind dad was taking D for a walk to give me a much needed break - still shattered but it has helped me to pull myself together for the next two and a bit hours followed by bedtime routine.

Sleepy vibes to all (for the evening/night not now).

NorthernLurker · 20/11/2007 16:35

Oh Elkie a {{{HUG}}} for the beastly night. Grrrh at your dp - helpful of him - it is just awful when they won't sleep. Three babies in dh now knows to keep quiet unless a) I ask what he thinks or b) I burst into tears. We generally get to b) before a)

Just keep saying to yourself - 'this too will pass'

Good news on the radiator.

Dippy - I'm quite keen on a white t-shirt - age 1 - I think. I do iron fairly often - just not often enough - but it would give me something to brandish at dh when he frets that the ironing is taking over the house.......

and garden......

KIDDING!

Though it does live in the car when the house is being viewed
