Here you go Eli!

I almost put 'your clothespegs' on the end there. Ds loves clothespegs. Came home from Rainbows the other day and dp had made a deal with ds. He could play with the clothespegs as long as he did it in his playpen and let dp make dinner.

Jabber - Have you set yourself up on facebook already? If yes, then add me as a friend (if you still have my name). I can then send you details of the group we have set up.

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 15/11/2007 20:09

find me, "margo sbeenplaying" add me as a friend and I will link you to our real names and send you an invite

accessorizewithbabysick · 15/11/2007 20:48

now, jabber, you absolutely HAVE to post a photo of the turkey cake on the birthday party FB wall! I haven't even thought about a cake for ds2 cos ds1's birthday is the following week!

magnolia74 · 15/11/2007 20:50

Ds1 share's his birthday with my sister So we are having a big one with a picture of him and her together for them to share

accessorizewithbabysick · 15/11/2007 20:59

Awww, that's nice. My sister and I share our birthday (next week, actually, I get to ikea for a treat!) and I can't remember ever sharing anything!

Elibean · 15/11/2007 22:47

So, if I've registered with FB in order to be someone else's friend (I have, twice) does that mean I can access you all there? Sorry to be slow on this one - just haven't had time to investigate FB really.

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 15/11/2007 22:50

Yes, I thought you were already with us. But then, I always get Eli and Oli mixed up

jabberwocky · 15/11/2007 23:42

Okay, I've worked my way through FB to the point of requesting to join the group. So I guess I just wait for that to process?

jabberwocky · 16/11/2007 02:40

I am slowly getting a profile set up I have managed to add pictures and mates, no profile page thus far though, all this techie business has worn me out. I'm headed off to bed

jabberwocky · 16/11/2007 02:45

Okay, let's see if it shows up now~

jabberwocky · 16/11/2007 02:49

aughh, somebody let me know if you can see the photo page. I made it, but when I click on the profile page it doesn't link?!

Definitely going to bed now...

Indith · 16/11/2007 09:40

My goodness, walking abbaies and first birthdays. The mind boggles.

Ds is getting less gunky but still not in creche today. I've managed to get him in for an extra day next week so i can attempt to catch up with uni work

The other day I was making ds his breakfast, turned round and there he was standing up in his playpen . Clinging onto the side for dear life but still, I was very proud.

For the two people who have requested to join, I've sent a message to ask for your MN name before clicking confirm since we have those who want to ensure it stays just us lot on there.

Jabber I can't see your photos.

babypowder · 16/11/2007 09:41

jabber, I can't see the photos - you might have to mark them all public.

Well, I had my first work trip yesterday ... and it was FANTASTIC! Despite having to leave the house at 6:15 to get an 8:30 flight, and all the messing around in airports, once I got into the office it was like I'd never been away. I had been nervous the night before, but it went really well. Now I just have to get ready to go back to work formally next Friday. Luckily I'll be working from home 2 days a week, so it won't be full on 3-hours-commute-everday again.

And I think DH has a newfound respect for what I do in the house. DD2 screamed constantly for about 2 hours before I got home, DD1 was fussing, he couldn't make tea for himself ... Result

Lucy, our 5 yo still climbs into bed with us as well, and it does get a bit cramped when 4 end up in a double bed. V impressed by the walking, though

Indith · 16/11/2007 09:43

Lol at your dh bp . Glad you have ahd such a good day at work though.

'abbaies' are babies...obviously

castlesintheair · 16/11/2007 13:54

Hi everyone

Jabber - I can't see your photos. Maybe you have to go into the security part of facebook and tick a few boxes?

I have Elibean as a contact on facebook. Can I "invite" her to join the Dec 06 thingy, oh Administrator(s)?

Well it's Friday afternoon and everything is going swimmingly in the Castles' castle. DD2 has learnt how to open the stairgate (doesn't help that DS & DD1 leave it unlocked) and finds it hilarious to scamper up to the top (round a corner) then yell "Mama" and giggle when I find her.

bebespain · 16/11/2007 15:10

Oh I haven´t posted on here since Felix was first born and am doing so now with some trepidation

Always lurking but when I saw the new thread thought I´d take the plunge! Hope you don´t mind?

Hope all you Dec mummies and LOs are OK. Felix is crawling now and has just learnt to stand with the aid of a table or chair. Has 6 teeth but weight gain has slowed right down so have been a bit worried...is eating fine though so am

Having awful sleep issues of late,(maybe that explains the weight?) last week was as bad as the early days, it was Hellish. I just don´t get it as I can´t think of what has caused him to be so unsettled and he definitely isn´t ill. I just left him in front of the washing machine and after about 5 mins he had crashed, head down, chin on chest - awww bless, he is soo tired. Anyone else in the sleepness nights boat?

Oh and those of you who are B/F - do you still have that incredible thirst? You know the one you get at the beginning?

jabberwocky · 16/11/2007 15:53

Welcome back, bebespain! Ds2 is currently waking around midnight and 4:00 am after going down at 8:00. It's wearing me out. Last night he made it until 1:00 am went back to sleep at 1:30 but I was up until after 3:00, then he woke again at 4:30. And I've got tons to do today but would rather be back in bed

I guess I'll have to make the photos available to all? Is that what you all have done? Had wanted to keep it to my mates list, really.

bp, love the story about your dh! Revenge is sweet, isn't it? I have to do an overnight business trip next month and I'm a bit anxious about the whole thing too. I haven't flown since ds2 was born and it's soo hard now over here.

FrostyGlassSlipper · 16/11/2007 16:33

Jabber, the photos would only be available on FB to people that you have accepted as friends. Other non-friend people wouldnt be able to see them.

FrostyGlassSlipper · 16/11/2007 16:34

On the sleep front, I hate to gloat but DD is going down at about 7.30 and getting up at about 7.00 so I'm in heaven. The darker mornings have helped DD1 too

DD2 is cruising around all the furniture with speed and today looked like she was contemplating standing unaided and then bottled it so I dont think it will be long.

jabberwocky · 16/11/2007 16:53

Haven't gotten that far on FB actually. I'm still trying to get my MN profile working properly

ver of the sleep!!

FrostyGlassSlipper · 16/11/2007 16:56

Jabber - you could make some photos public on MN profile for a short time and then take them off again if you didnt want them there all the time.

babypowder · 16/11/2007 17:11

Jabber, love the photos! You were a very sexy pregnant witch

Bebespain, how lovely to see you back! Sleep. I don't talk about sleep anymore. I have vague memories of being able to sleep until noon when I was young and childless And I didn't appreciate it! If only we lived our lives backwards ...

weirdbird · 16/11/2007 17:37

Hi Bebespain, welcome back!

I hope I look that good when I am 42 Jabber!!!

Love the lurid green sling to go with the witch outfit as well!

Hannah has the most amazing black eye at present, its the first black eye I have seen that is actually black SO glad we had the photos taken for Xmas last week!

Oh and Bebespain once they start crawling the weight gain slows right down as they burn off so much of the calories they are eating.

bebespain · 16/11/2007 17:47

Thanks jabberwocky and babyp for the "welcome back"- I feel really happy I came back to the fold now

Jabberwocky - your sleep set-up sounds very similar to ours at the mo. DS has always done the 4am slot but lately its been around 10-11 too after going to bed about 7.30, trouble is unless I pace up and down with him in my arms he will not settle - and I don´t mean for a quick 10 mins!

Too true about not appreciating sleep when we were young. Living our lives backwards... yes if only!

FGS - am very of you but only in a nice way
