Morning all.....

Thought I'd start a new thread as the other was huge.

Bit late now but big hug to Beau..... hope you went back to sleep little man.

J & M still asleep, it's one good thing about having Mum & Dad around, I don't have to wake the girls up to do the school run.

Thanks MrsJB i wasnt too worried but dh keeps nagging me about it, he has got so paranoid about something going wrong.

And congratulations on becoming an Aunty (and to your dsis, of course, she did all the hard work lol)

Am still that i missed the meet as it was my shopping trip was a disaster so i should have gone lol. Hope lots of pics were taken so us absent ones can see what we missed. Bet it was a mad house at LG&T's

largeginandtonic · 17/11/2007 16:04

It was a mad house! They were all really good, lots of pics to load too.

MrsJB very happy your dsis has had little A and all is well. Didnt she do well! Bet she is grinning from ear to ear still, those first hormones are such a rush.

Loved J eating the cat MrsJB, was very funny! The kids thought a web cam was ace. Mum2G has left it here for us so we can speak to you some more.

We are tidying up now, not alot to do. The babies didnt make much mess Most of the cake has gone, just a few brownies left.

Pebble hope you are ok, shame you couldnt make it. Next time?

April has offered her house up for a meet next time. May for all the birthdays, how lovely would that be.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 17/11/2007 16:21

Thank you Mum2G soooo much for taking the webcam, it was lovely to "see" everyone. cool, I can have more fun with the twins if it's still there!! Don't put hugs on again though, I may have to eat the camera to get to him. Little I missed cam though. Still haven't seen those cheeks.

May sounds fab for a meet up at AM's bagsy bedroom, 3 and 5 though, (they already have our names on the doors) We are planning a visit in May anyway as a friend is lending me her house in Bournemouth whilst she is on hols.

What a great afternoon, not only did we get to eat cake and see all the bubbas we got to meet SOH

Thank you LG&T for letting us invade.

SOH, hope J is feeling better this evening. M is just such a cutie.

Congrats to your dsis MrsJB.

Have got some fab pictures of the babies.

LG&T needs to think about hiring J out as a childrens entertainer, he was fab. Hugs and Jack played nicely together and even shared a hug and kiss (i missed it). I think i was lucky to escape with Ella as S had her eye one her and i think wanted to keep her.

Off to eat my dinner before going out to watch dh in his play

cameroonmama · 17/11/2007 19:52

Just got back half an hour ago, many thanks to LG&T for letting us wreck sit in her house. It was lovely to see all the babies and especially see my future daughter in law and I can confirm that she spent the whole time smiling and smiling at me and if she can do that when she is 21 and not crack then its a done deal

I can confirm that SOH is indeed a rather lovely trucker called Dave with hairy arms mummy but I was so to have missed the jaffalings. The blokes were doing that 'I think I can get it to work but I'm not sure' routine when we left as I had promised the dc ferry rides and boats. I do have a webcam at home though...

Thanks for the directions lg&t, spot on, did the ferry and HMS Warrior, fantastic, even if it was raining!

ooooo forgot to say CONGRATS to MrsJB's sis, brilliant news.

Mum2G · 17/11/2007 22:03

btw scrummy lemon cake!

AutumnMeadow · 17/11/2007 23:56

Am back from watching dh in his play! Was very funny although have lost feeling in my bottom. Almost ran out of diesel as the counter went to zero to empty just as i got to the petrol station. Looked a right cheap skate as didnt take my purse so could only put £10 in.

Have uploaded some pictures of the babies. SOH & LG&T do you have any good ones of all the babies together? Mine are a little blurred.

Night night xx

Pinkjenny · 18/11/2007 09:05

Am literally green with envy. Feel it is some postcode discrimination that you all live in the South.

Hey Scoot!!!!!!

largeginandtonic · 18/11/2007 09:40

Good morning.

Well the good news is I am pregnant.

The bad news is I may or may not be SOH masquerading as LG&T and making mischief.

Mwahahahahahaha.....!

Do I have 1 child or 27 children? Am I a calm, zen like mother of a gorgeous brood or a stressed out mother of the largest baby in England?

Mwahahahahahahahahahahahahaha....

PS MrsJB, fab news about Alfie and I loved the inside of your mansion. The army of half naked bronzed men polishing the silver were a bit out of focus though so if you could just be a doll and send me a few snaps via snail mail I'd be mighty happy.

AutumnMeadow · 18/11/2007 10:56

well thats unfair dangling that in front of us. Now i dont know what to say.......

Did you get to see inside MrsJB's cupboard?? I think thats where she was hiding the servants wheni got the guided tour

Mrsjaffabiffa · 18/11/2007 11:46

Come on........ Spill!!!

I reckon it's lg&t, the referal to bronzed men sort of leads me in that direction.....

If it is were you fibbing to me about last week ends events or is it a new result?

Who ever it is Wooooooo Hoooooooo and congratulations, you are the first and have definately won the prize for the crazyiest May mommy yet!

How about this then:

Thought you might find funny (or you might not!)

Baby's Perspective on Sleep Training

OK, here's my situation. My Mommy has had me for almost 7 months. The first few months were great--I cried, she picked me up and fed me, anytime, day or night. Then something happened.

Over the last few weeks, she has been trying to STTN (sleep thru the night). At first, I thought it was just a phase, but it is only getting worse. I've talked to other babies, and it seems like it's pretty common after Mommies have had us for around 6 months.

Here's the thing: these Mommies don't really need to sleep. It's just a habit. Many of them have had some 30years to sleep--they just don't need it anymore. So I am implementing a plan. I call it the Crybaby Shuffle.

It goes like this:

Night 1--cry every 3 hours until you get fed.I know, it's hard. It's hard to see your Mommy upset over your crying. Just keep reminding yourself, it's for her own good.

Night 2--cry every 2 hours until you get fed.

Night 3--every hour.

Most Mommies will start to respond more quickly after about 3 nights. Some Mommies are more alert, and may resist the change longer. These Mommies may stand in your doorway for hours, shhhh-ing. Don't give in. I cannot stress this enough: CONSISTENCY IS KEY!!

If you let her STTN(sleep through the night), just once, she will expect it every night. I KNOW IT'S HARD! But she really does not need the sleep, she is just resisting the change.

If you have an especially alert Mommy, you can stop crying for about 10 minutes, just long enough for her to go back to bed and start to fall asleep. Then cry again. It WILL eventually work. My Mommy once stayed awake for 10 hours straight, so I know she can do it. Last night, I cried every hour. You just have to decide to stick to it and just go for it.

BE CONSISTENT! I cried for any reason I could come up with.
My sleep sack tickled my foot.
I felt a wrinkle under the sheet.
My mobile made a shadow on the wall.
I burped, and it tasted like pears (I hadn't eaten pears since lunch - what's up with that?)
The dog said "woof" (I should know. My Mommy reminds me of this about
20 times a day. LOL.)
Once I cried just because I liked how it sounded when it echoed on the
monitor in the other room.
Too hot, too cold, just right--doesn't matter! Keep crying!!

It took awhile, but it worked. She fed me at 4am. Tomorrow night, my goal is 3:30am.

You need to slowly shorten the interval between feedings in order to reset your Mommies' internal clocks.

P.S. Don't let those rubber things fool you, no matter how long you suck on them, NO milk will come out! Trust me.

its SOH has to be she referred to lg&t's amount of children yesterday as 27.

If I am right do I win a prize, gingerbread anyone?

Mrsjaffabiffa · 18/11/2007 13:16

JW, It did cross my mind tbh, but it's a standing joke the 27 children bit, lg&t know's that.

Come on you two spill.................

OP posts:
largeginandtonic · 18/11/2007 14:33

PMSL...

It was SOH incognito. I am NOT pregnant, not yet anyway

It was so lovely to have them staying, she was very brave. Brave for driving hundreds of miles with a small baby to stay with a complete stranger and brave for staying with someone who has 27 children. They fitted in perfectly with the madness and J took on the climbing frame role with gusto. I clung to M until the last second when she was prised out of my arms by her father She was crying lots and didnt want to go, DD is still sulking as we all are.

Attentions were turned to a different kind of mourning soon enough though when we discovered one of the bunnies had died this morning Poor Florence. DH wanted to eat for roast lunch today but as we are not sure what she died of the bin has her instead.

I feel for the travellers as the weather is atrocious today. Hope they get home today and it doesnt take them 24 hrs like the last trip

Instead of roast bunny we are having lamb, MrsJB i would like a G&T please?

AutumnMeadow · 18/11/2007 14:41

that soh is a cheeky one
sorry to hear about florence

Mrsjaffabiffa · 18/11/2007 15:07

Passes lg&t a HUGE G&T>>> Enjoy my lovelie.

Boo Hoo for florence. How .

Congratulations SOH, Such fab news, if it's true and you were not just messing around! Have a safe journey home!

Dh, H & M have gone off on a 4 hr round trip to collect FIL who is coming to stay for a week. He is the best FIL and I'm quite looking forward to his stay. I am however cleaning and clearing like mad, of course to prove that I am the best, houseproud, organised, mother of 3 and Daughter in Law there is. I'll be exhausted by the time he goes home.

Must get back to the mop!

Oh well done sweetie. Have a dective looking glass too, it's your prize. Woo Hoo

juliewoolie · 18/11/2007 18:38

HAHA! i knew it, is it true?? If so huge congrats well done my lovely.

largeginandtonic · 18/11/2007 19:29

She is not pregnant either! She is however stuck at Stanstead waiting for the AA as her car has broken down. I just cant belive it, poor thing. They did not need this i feel terrible. J really needed to go home and rest (he had another migraine last night) and SOH and M needed a rest in a peaceful house.

She sounds remarkably chipper considering, we all know her humour in the face of adversity. Bless her, knew they should have stayed a few more days.

I miss them
