Morning all.....

Thought I'd start a new thread as the other was huge.

Bit late now but big hug to Beau..... hope you went back to sleep little man.

J & M still asleep, it's one good thing about having Mum & Dad around, I don't have to wake the girls up to do the school run.

Hi everyone,

TT bloody fab we had fantastic seats (sorry AM), did spend all of yesterday recovering from a bit of a hangover or man flu as my DP had. AM poor you what a journey. It was great spending the night in a hotel. We got back ordered something to eat and then fell asleep in a drunken stupor!! Not quite the romantic night we had planned and never thought I would be packing a breast pump for a naughty night in a hotel.

MKG what a nightmare hope you are all recovered now. Touristy things for your mum - Tower of London - brilliant. Buckingham Palace, Westminster, London Eye. The Tate and all its variations, Greenwich observatory. There is loads to do I would suggest to them to wear sneakers as it is best to do London on foot also an umbrella is a must. The concierge will be able to send them in the right direction.

Congrats little tank on your standing.

LG&T how is B now has the inhaler helped, also how is your frined with her new bundle did you get to see them.

How are all the other little poorly ones.

CAM v.v. at your new house it looks gorgeous, now dont forget I used to be a nanny am more than happy to come out of retirement and nanny for you. Oh and what was that I read ages ago about Dubai??

LW lovely to see you.

I regard to chrimbo pressies, we are buying the monster a wheelybug and have a couple of little things, I too am like you AM have to make sure everyone gets an equal amount spent on them. Am nearly there have everthing wrapped just got to get DP something, any ideas he is the man who has everything!

Right no more of this lazing about must have a shower and get dressed, DP is taking A to his parents today I have the arvo off and am going to the cinema with my best mate.

Mrsjollyballs · 02/12/2007 14:12

Woooooooo Hooooooooo to Ella crawling, haha what fun....... hope you've moved everything AM. Christmas tree fun.

SOH, ut oh sitting from lying, I'll give her 3 weeks, she'll be moving by christmas!!

JW, glad you enjoyed TT and lol at the naughty night in a hotel with accompanied breast pump.

MKG, hope Cruz is all better now, must have been a little scary, I don't know London at all so sorry I can't give you any idea's except I remember loving the science museum if they like the whole future and how things work stuff.

Lovely news for your BF lg&t, hope you get to see her soon. What a fab birth!! I saw Alfie on webcam the other eve, he is so gorgeous. Made me feel very slightly broody again.... Also made me cry! I miss my sis!

Tiling finished, just grouting today (easy job) Unit's being delivered on Tuesday, woooo hooooo on target for Christmas!

Cam, just had a look at my Annabel Karmel book 6-9mths Menu for you, have you tried?
Weetabix with mashed banana
Ready brek
Cauliflower cheese
Leek & potato with fromage frais
Pureed bolognaise
If you want any of the recipies I'm happy to write them ot for you, just ask.

We haven't bought anything for J for christmas...... We can't think of anything she needs so would rather wait and get her something in the summer for the garden. God, hadn't even thought about making sure they have the same amount of stocking presents, ho hum thats life, hope they don't notice.... Harrison is 5, two days after Christmas so we have to remember to sort Birthday stuff out too for him! I am very adament that he does not get joint Christmas and birthday presents and I get really cross if people wrap his bday present in Christmas paper. Maddie is easy to buy for this year, as long as it is a dolly something to do with a dolly, she will be very happy.

Harrison has decided to take a Gap year or 5, have uploaded a picture onto my profile.

MKG · 02/12/2007 16:50

Congrats to AM on the crawling! Now the real trouble will start.

Thanks all for the well wishes. Cruz is doing better, still full of mucous, but better. Now Mateo has it. Last night he had the same symptoms as Cruz. He fell asleep on the floor of his room so we made a little nest for him to be comfortable. Anyway, dh decided to stay in with him just in case. Well, once dh started snoring I heard Mateo say (on the monitor) "Dada!" then the little bugger got up walked out and just layed down and went to sleep in the hallway. He did this a few times last night until I kicked dh out.

On a positive note Cruz has been trying to crawl. He gets him self on his knees and pumps back and forth like crazy. He is so determined to keep up with his brother.

AutumnMeadow · 02/12/2007 18:24

Hmmm yes lucky us! Not putting the tree up until the 10th that way we only have 2 weeks for it to be destroyed!

Ds is in the middle of a paddy that is quite special - NOT Just because he doesnt want his tea. I take it away and he goes mad, i give it back he goes mad. Roll on 7.30

Sorry SOH, i missed M cleverness Well done.

Christmas shopping is now COMPLETE [smug emotion]

Mrsjollyballs · 02/12/2007 18:30

It's 7.30 here. Peace in the mansion has finally been restored.

Mrsjollyballs · 02/12/2007 18:35

PMSL at your referal to J being quite special...... just how do you do it AM oh mama of calmness?

M is just evil, did I say that out loud?

Our tree and dec's are going up next week-end, wooo hooo I'm quite excited this year. One of my sister's and her two girls are coming for Christmas & New year.

AChristmasMeadow · 02/12/2007 20:15

Well to be honest, calm is not something we are when he is like that. We are fairly used to it by now, but it still winds us both up. Although nothing compares to how furious we were with him today whilst out shopping..... he disappeared... there one second and gone the next. We were calling his name and i could hear him just not see him. Dh went flying off round the shopping centre and i hung around where we had been when disappeared. I then saw him laughing his head off coming out of Mahers the book store he got a smacked hand from me and then stern words from dh.

MrsJB, M and J can share a room when you come visit and i will make sure the lock is on the OUTSIDE Brain is on a blip at the mo... are we coming to you 1st week of April..? Have bought my new diary and was filling it in and had complete brain freeze

The kiddies are asleep

AbbyLou · 02/12/2007 21:26

Hi guys. Just taking a break from Sunday night planning to check messages. It seems like lots of babies are developing quickly now. R has got her first 2 teeth. She was a bit cranky on Friday and now I know why. She woke up with 1 yesterday and another 1 today. She is not moving much yet but can almost sit up on her own. I think it will be a while before she crawls as she still hates being on her tummy.
I have a big test tonight/tomorrow morning. Dh is out tonight at a Christmas do wuth his old work and is staying over. I have never had both of them on my own overnight before. Bath/bed time was a success and so far the evening has gone smoothly without either of them waking which is a first for about 3 weeks! I am really not looking forward to tomorrow morning though. I'm not quite sure whether we will make it out the door for 7.30! I have done absolutely everything I can in preparation so we'll have to see how it goes.

Mrsjollyballs · 02/12/2007 22:15

Oh sizzling tonight AM, great name change!

Not sure the room share is a good idea, lord know what the two them could hatch together.

Ummmmmmmm it doesn't matter to us when you come, I thought you said last week in March but we really don't mind just as long as you come.

Good Luck with the morning Abby, you sound organised, I'm sure it will be a breeze.

AChristmasMeadow · 02/12/2007 22:41

Last week of March is perfect Will put in diary

Well done to R on the teeth front. We are STILL waiting for 1 to come through, feels like we have been waiting forever! I have had the dc's for 3 nights on my own, 2 nights together and then 1 the other week. I found it not too bad, I had a shower whilst they were in the bath (E has a bath seat and the bath is 2meters from the shower) and then threw on my pj's, got Ella out the bath and left ds in there whilst i got E dressed and it also meant that i could feed her and get her to bed whilst ds was playing in the bath and then gave me time to spend with him, reading books etc. When he woke in the night i brought him into bed with me so that he was less likely to wake when E woke. When we woke in the morning it meant that i could have a quick wash and get dressed, dress ds and dd and then run out the door. It's a big thing to be left on your own, so fingers crossed you have a good night.

Pebblemum · 03/12/2007 11:11

Morning

Ds2 still isnt 100%. He seems to go through stages one minute he is fine the next he is all quiet and lethargic. So far today though (touch wood) he has been ok so he is off to pre-school this afternoon. His throat isnt sore now but he has a bit of a cough, nothing too bad otherwise i would keep him at home.
Alana had a temp of 39.5 on Saturday evening and then had problems eating her solids yesterday so I think she caught it off of E. I've kept her dosed up and so far she seems a lot better. The only thing with her is that she is teething as well so its hard to tell if its her teeth or her feeling poorly thats upsetting her. Her temp is ok now so thats one thing.

AM well done on being so organised both with christmas and bathtime. Ive still got a few presents to buy and bathtime in my house is a nightmare lol

Im hoping to walk into town once E is at pre-school and buy a few more presents. My lovely pram is too big to get on a bus with and dh took the smaller pushchair to work with him so walking it is!

We put our christmas tree up yesterday. We went out and bought a new tree, lights and decorations and E helped decorate it. So far Alana has stayed away from it, she looked at it a few times but thats it, she doesnt seem too fussed by it. She would rather annoy her brothers and grab their things

largeginandtonic · 03/12/2007 12:03

Morning all, is it still morning?

Who farckin knows. Im tired, B has been poorly all weekend. I have just taken him back to the docs again and been told it's (chorus please girls) 'just a virus'

Pah! He is throwing up about 30% of his feeds especially at night. He is croaky and snotty and miserable. Enough already.

How is everyone else? I am only in for an hour and then braving toddlers, B is happier when distracted. Hugs has done a poo on the potty!!! Wahoooooo, hope he is ok from now on.

Did any of us go to the Xmas MN meet? Must go and cruise profiles for pics

Mrsjollyballs · 03/12/2007 18:39

There's an eary echo in here..........

Well done hugs!! Hope you get an early night tonight lg&t.

Hope E and B are better soon.

AChristmasMeadow · 03/12/2007 19:23

Bloody Dr's, I hope that B gets better very soon. Well done Hugs on the poo Hope you have a better night LG&T x

Oh my goodness where is everyone????

cameroonmama · 03/12/2007 19:28

Well done Hugs! And well done the baby girls on all their wriggling and jiggling. It seems the baby boys prefer to sit back and watch..

Sorry to hear of so many poorly dc, I hope they are all soon on the mend. Runny noses and croaky voices here too but not too bad.

Thanks MrsJB for the recipe advice, will try cauliflower cheese tomorrow Keep them coming.

Christmas shopping all bought, phew, just a few things left to buy to take to Kenya, nappies and formula mainly. One month to go then its all go. I am feeling quite tired today and the pressure is mounting up, ho hum. I think I shall just go and have a g&t, for the nerves dontcha know? Did you feel very sad MrsJB when you left for good?

How did you get on Abbylou?

TYG - are you there? I have a feeling you are down my way somewhere, squelching about in the abundance of mud and being drenched in squally showers. Must be a bit of a shock for you chi-chi north londoner, I bet you've got wellies with patterns on too

AChristmasMeadow · 03/12/2007 19:50

Cam am so sad that you are going We can always send out nappies and formula if need be.

I have been and bought the Annabel Karmel pasta stars, pasta shells and vege sauce and made a bolognaise for ella. She seemed to like it which is always good. The great thing is you can freeze what you dont use. Have bought some lamb mince so will make up another batch with meat in it. For pudding today Ella had strawberries, banana and mango all blended together.

Got told today that ds is a smowflake in the nativity next week and that he is currently out shining all the others. They are going totry and add a part in just for him and give him words to say very proud - just hope that i dont have to make the outfit........

cameroonmama · 03/12/2007 20:21

Ah bless you AM, I shall miss you all, I'm not sure yet if there is internet connection at our new mansion...

How fabby to think of J as a little snowflake. It could be the start of a budding new career DD is a narrator in hers because she is so full of herself confident. And ds1, I think, reading between the lines, is some kind of soldier (perfect casting) and there is a lot of talk of King Herod and why did Jesus die Christmas and Easter are so difficult to explain to an almost 4 year old

AChristmasMeadow · 03/12/2007 20:36

Ours is a very PC nativity. It's called The Snowman at Sunset... I dont think there will be any religious references - very sad in my opinion.

cameroonmama · 03/12/2007 20:49

Most are PC nowadays sadly, but ours is a c of e (or coffee as dd calls it) school so we get plenty of jubilates and hallelujahs

AbbyLou · 03/12/2007 20:59

Evening all. Well I survived the evening and morning on my own and we were actually ready early this morning! C was an absolute star, he undressed R last night and helped me bath her, then he watched the Night Garden in my bed while I gave R her last bottle. She likes quiet and adrk for that one so I couldn't really have him jumping about! This morning he got on with his breakfast rally well so I could feed R. I did end up getting her in bed with me at 5am becasue she was awake and wouldn't settle but all in all it was a success.

AChristmasMeadow · 04/12/2007 10:34

Thats great news Abby, you must have been very pleased!

LG&T how was your night?

Ds slept well in his new bed. He went from 8-3 and then dh fell asleep in bed with him! Then woke at 7.30. 8-3 is the longest he has gone for months!!

Going to go locate all the presents that i need to send to people and get them posted today.

Ella's crawling is really coming along - scarily well

AChristmasMeadow · 04/12/2007 19:29

[tumbleweed]

Mrsjollyballs · 04/12/2007 19:52

Hi AM, Cam and Abby

bless a pure, white, angelic snowflake.

Cam - I did feel very sad when we left, I was excited too but very tearful, I cried for a few days and on most of the journey here. I was only sad about leaving family and friends but I was only coming to France you are going a bit further. You know you can do it though, how have you felt the other times you have moved? I am praying for an internet connection for you at Campalace (you can't have the mansion, I have it) we are gonna miss you so much if you don't.

Where is everyone?

SOH, Lg&t, TYG and everyone else pleeeeeeeease come back!!!!!

AChristmasMeadow · 04/12/2007 20:00

Ah ha at last there is life on the thread Hello MrsJB. How are you today? How has the evil one been?

cameroonmama · 04/12/2007 20:12

Evening all from the Cam abode, April I am so glad ds likes his new bed, it could be the start of a beautiful relationship

Turns out my little soldier is actually going to be Angel Gabriel and has been practising his line, but with his little pronounciation difficulty no one is going to be able to tell what he is saying

How is the kitchen going MrsJB? Well I tried pots, leeks and fromage frais on the big wee man and it was rejected outright. However chunks of bananas went down a treat. He is just not really keen on food per se, he just wants mummy's boobies

I shall be sad this time MrsJB because we are leaving from the UK and previously we have pretty much hopped from country to country. The dc just love their school so much, I saw some photos today of ds1 hugging his best 2 boy friends and it brought a tear to my eye. Plus it looks like dh will have to go back to London for 4 days, just a couple of days after we arrive so I shall have to get the dc settled on my own. He is, of course, devastated/worried/guilty at having to leave us. I shall be fine once I get there I know....

Where is everyone else???

A little bird tells me that it is Julie's birthday tomorrow - the same day as my dh! So many happy returns for tomorrow JW
