Morning all.....

Thought I'd start a new thread as the other was huge.

Bit late now but big hug to Beau..... hope you went back to sleep little man.

J & M still asleep, it's one good thing about having Mum & Dad around, I don't have to wake the girls up to do the school run.

It is fantastic news indeed, i have not stopped Wish i lived next door to her still She is a little but not as bad as last time, when she had William. He arrived in under an hour. I always bloomin miss it, she always misses mine too. Next time i'm going to live with her 2 weeks before it's due. Humph.

N is out with other Navy types, i have just spoken to him and told him about Lucy. He was very pleased and sounded very sober That wont last. Said i could drive up tomorrow and stay over making it back Saturday for when his parents get here. I can go on my own too Not sure yet, traffic crap on a Friday. She is Weston Super Mare, about 3 hours drive.

Hooray for the vege box! I lurve celeriac, mashed with potato is divine. We get our tomorrow, may look at the web site to see if we are getting any. What size did you get? The fruit box is good too, just not big enough for us.

B is wheezy and still a bit hot occasionally, i have been dosing him since this afternoon and he has just gone to bed. Hope the medised and brufen do something.

The kids are playing schools, they just put Phin in detention, no idea what she did. Hugo has been expelled already

AbbyLou · 29/11/2007 19:13

Hi all. Why is it when I am around it is really quiet and when I can't get on for a coupleof days everything goes wild? It's taken me ages to read through 2 days of posts.
Scoot, nice to have you back. See the conversations taken a turn for the worse already!
Sorry to hear about all the poorly babies and Mummies. LG and T I had the same thing with C re asthma. I was given an inhaler for him about this time last year and told it could be asthma because I am asthmatic. However the dr obviously wasn't very confident in his own diagnosis becasue he told me 'when the cough's gone you can chuck it away'. I'm sure they're on commission for inhalers, they hand them out like Smarties. We have so many kids with them at scholl and I would say about 1/4 of the kids ever show amy asthmatic symptoms.
Both kids have been ill again here. C was at home on Tuesday as he was very tired, lethargic and he was sick. He's getting better but can't stop coughing, especially at night. R is so happy and smily now and very well in herself. However the poo issue has come back. She seems to go one day with normal poo and then the next day every one is an explosion which goes through everything she's wearing. I'm still unsure about the dairy thing as today when I opened the lovely bag of washing from the cm with her pooey clothes in it smelt overwhelmingly of yoghurt. Does anyone know how much dairy there actually is in formula milk? She has always been ok on this which is why I struggle with the idea of her having any kind of intolerance.

scootermum · 29/11/2007 19:21

Lah-di-dah, celeriac poshos!I never even saw a bit of celeriac till I moved to London when I was 23,,and even then I thought it was celery and had just been misspelt on the menu

I got quite broody today too..my best baby friend is due in M and it reminded me of how much I love being pregnant and newborn babies..then I picked L up from CM and she screamed all the way home, pulled my hair and threw a cup of milk across the lounge..and I remembered why I shant be having any more

The only other event of today was that I unwittingly flashed my left boob at the USP delivery man who was delivering DH's new ipod..I ran downstairs to get the door for fear of missing him and thought I had been very clever to simultaneously put on dressing gown..however on signing for the package it fell open revealing PJ's which have a button missing in a vital area He said'you need not have got undressed for me!'Still it probably cheered him up on his delivery round so what the hell

Thanks AM for that..was slightly fearing you would say that though as L has taken a shine against all the odds to the bottom seat..

Meant to say big hello to LW yesterday..sorry you have been feeling low..nice to hear from you again..

Went crazy in Toys r us today-have been buying bits for ages and I know realise that ive no idea what ive got and for who..so am going to turf out my Christmas cupboard in a min and see where I am..

Bless you SOH..No need for Santa presents hon, just you thinking of it is present enough

Pebblemum · 29/11/2007 22:15

Evening all

E has been poorly today, nothing specific except hes been very lethargic and hot. he said he had a stomach ache first thing this morning but after an hour it went. He perked up enough to want to MacD's for lunch while I went shoe shopping (one of my xmas prezzies from dh)He seemed fine all afternoon and then put himself to bed at 5.45 and fell asleep for an hour and half (this is the boy who hates sleep)Hes had a bath and is now laid out on the sofa wide awake but he still isnt right.

Alana has now started getting up into the crawling position and rocking back and forth until she slides forward so i dont think it will take her much longer to crawl properly. She is also starting to pull herself up into the standing position if she grabs hold of you. J walked at 11months, E at 9m so i wonder if A will beat them both

Am now going to try to catch up on the gossip, wish me luck, it may take some time as i havent been on here for a few days

largeginandtonic · 29/11/2007 22:25

B roled over this evening Admittedly it was in a fit of rage (i was on the phone ) yelling his head off in the cot. He went from front to back.

Hope E is ok Pebble, A sounds like she will be needing stair gates up soon!

PMSL at you flashing the guy at the door Scoot, bet the neighbours are pleased to have you move in

MKG i was just thinking of you the other day, glad you are all ok. I would go to Harrods and have some KK'S, you know they might taste different in the UK Madame Tussauds would also be worth a visit, trp up the Thames to see all the sites or a big red bus trip? Bet TYG will have some good ideas adn JL AND JW.

Lupins71 · 30/11/2007 01:37

juliewoolie · 30/11/2007 08:38

Hello all,

my internet has been up and down more times than a french tarts knickers.

Will catch up properly later, but saw that AM is off to see the wonderful Take That tonight. I am too!!!! Keep an eye out for me I will be taking a pair of my rather large post baby pants with me to throw at the stage figure that might get their attention.

MKG lovely to see you will have a think about sightseeing and let you know.

ShowOfHands · 30/11/2007 09:18

M can get from lying down to sitting up all on her lonesome! Boy is she impressed with herself... I'm wondering how long standing will be as she's been pulling herself to standing with assistance for ages and I guess that's the next natural step.

Will catch up and post more later. Clever Tank.

scootermum · 30/11/2007 10:39

Well done little tank..M can do nothing at all really..lazy bones..
There is a baby in Ms Bumps and Babes group about three weeks older than M who is crawling already!L didnt sit till 8 months, crawled at about 11 and walked at 14 so I think M will be about the same..in no hurry really TBH as at the moment where I put her there she stays which makes it easier as am constantly chasing around after hurricane Lily..(who chucked my watch in the toilet this morning-give me strength!)

Quite jealous of everyone going to see Take That.I would give my right arm to go to that..

Tower of London MKG..Its fabbo..Also they should definately book in for afternoon tea at either The Savoy or Claridges-a reall treat and very typically 'English'

What shoes 'd'you get Pebble? Were they fancy ones or day time ones..I feel a little shop coming on this weekend as next weekend is my birthday (kids at Mums, Hurrah!)It will be my first birthday in 3 years that I wont be pregnant on so I intend to have a ruddy good one!

I'd been in that car for 7 hours.

I repeat.

You feckers.

Lupins71 · 30/11/2007 19:58

LGT do you still needs spares for your trophy air - there was a blue one in one of the house clearance shops - was in good condition - remember you saying you needed a spare but couldnt remember what it was, I can find out how much it was if you still need stuff

Lupins71 · 30/11/2007 20:08

heheheheehe

Lupins71 · 30/11/2007 20:12

I parked Arlen on his mat earlier on his back when i got back in from the kitchen he was under the table on his front

Whats everyone getting thier little bundles for xmas??? I dont seem to have much for him atm few little bits and bobs, was thinking of a jumperoo thingy, see if my mum wants to chip in, so hard to know what to get, he has a ton of toys, 2 tons of clothes - go on inspire me!!

cameroonmama · 30/11/2007 21:03

Hope you all had fun at your Take That, lots of knicker throwing and swooning hopefully.

Lups, J does the same, one minute he is on his mat, the next trying to chew the laptop cable . He is really really contented just now, now that his two little teeth have come through and he can sit and reach toys that he wants. I tried an Avent sippy cup tonight with his ff, but he wasn't impressed. Is it worth trying one with Ella April?

I hope the headaches are soon gone Lups, its not nice, I find them quite crippling. J is getting one of those Little Tikes cozy coupes, because we sold the last one in Cameroon and we need another one

Gosh all these babies are really moving now, they are no longer little babies .

Since J is now happy to eat again, what new things can I give him to try? My trusty Annabel Karmel is in a box god knows where...

Ooo MKG, The London Eye is a must, its like a big giant wheel that goes really slowly and you stand in a pod, looking out and get the full view of London from dizzy heights.

Lupins71 · 30/11/2007 21:34

Thanks Cam, i am dying to find out about take that - monday is tooooo long to wait, I hate headaches with a vengence, I think i would rather have my pancreas pain at least i can get morphine for that!! A has 2 teeth 3rd is on the way, but he cant sit yet without falling over but it is definatley getting there, I just got some of the heinz little pasta stars from 7 months 89p, they do a cheese sauce and a tom & basil sauce as well - seem to go down well, I have been adding the stars to the masses of puree i have to use up in the freezer to give it more texture, I offered A a avent cup - not impressed either lol!!

Anyone watching im a celebrity - ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

AutumnMeadow · 01/12/2007 09:49

Oh My GOD!!!!
What a fantastic night
Slightly panicy as my tickets didnt turn up so had to via Oxford Circus to collect them. Dh had paid for seats within the 1st 20 rows at the front so when we got told that we were in the VIP area my friend and i were so excited! The dome is amazing so much nicer than Wembley or Docklands. Got to the VIP section and were amazed by how nice the restaurant was and were quite excited. Found out that we were going to be in a box and thought 'how cool'. That soon faded when we walked into the box and saw that we were right at the sodding BACK Phoned dh who was also very as he had paid nearly 600 quid for 2 tickets at the front. Anyway, watched Sophie Ellis Bextor and then had to go off to the loo as my left boob was about to explode. Took a lovely plastic cup and 'milked' myself to ease the pressure
Then they came on stage [swoon, swoon] It was like being 15 again it was AMAZING. Got a few pictures and videoed a few songs. Mark looked just lovely, in fact they all did (not Jason though - never been a fan of his). Sang to all of the songs, then the best bit was that they performed on the round stage half way into the area so we were that litle bit closer (didnt need to look at the screens to see them). I have uploaded a picture of them on the round stage. It was a real mixture of old, very old and new. Was gutted when it finished. My friend was even doing the dance routine to Pray!
Once it finished we met up with Julie and her lovely other half. She wasnt allowed into the 'special section' so we had to go and mix with the rif raf . Got myself a nice t-shirt (will wear it with pride), a mug and programme. Had a nice drink with Julie and then wandered back to the tube to start the trek home. Got in the door at 01.30 or thereabouts.

Lups, you will have a fab time

Pebblemum · 01/12/2007 15:23

Glad you had a lovely time AM.

E is still poorly, he is fine one minute but then suddenly goes really pale and drowsy. He hasnt eaten properly since Wednesday evening and is saying his throat hurts. Ive had a look and its red and lumpy looking and his throat is slightly closed but he hasnt got a croaky voice and is able to still shout Could it be tonsilitis, i know a few of his close friends have had it but never having had it myself, im not sure of the symptons

A has been very ratty the last couple of days as well, especially in the evening. She will scream and cry before going to sleep then wake half hour later and scream again for another 45mins before finally settling for the night. Normally i could cope with it but where E is ill and ratty too it is driving me mad. The other night Alana fell asleep and E woke up, E fell asleep and Alana woke up, this is how it went right up until 3.30am and then i had to get up at 7am, they were ratty and demanding all day so i didnt get any rest and then it happened again last night until 1am. Im knackered lol

Scoot I bought two pairs of boots, a long black pair and a short brown pair (they were my bargain of the day, only £5 in a sale!!) I did see several pairs of going out shoes but dh wouldnt buy them, says i have too many so i will be going back there on my own to get them lol although he is right i have about 30 pairs of shoes, 5 pairs of trainers and 4 pairs of boots but the way i see it, I dont smoke, drink too much, gamble etc so shoes are my little treat to myself

Lupins I havent spent too much on toys for Alana this Christmas, I made that mistake with ds1, he had so many presents for his 1st christmas it took forever to undo them and he was more interested in trying to eat the paper anyway. Ive tried to buy her a few keepsake things as well as toys, things that will last ie personalised stocking, christmas bauble etc.

MKG · 01/12/2007 16:15

Thanks all for the info. I wish I were going so I could go to everyone's house,

I'm trying to catch up on sleep and life after rushing Cruz to the Emergency room. The other day my mom was watching the kids and Cruz was developing a cold. She called me to say that he was wheezing so I made an appointment for him at the doctor after dh got home. Well she calls at work to say that she's on her way to the emergency room, and doctor didn't even look at him, just heard him breathe and sent her right out. So i met her at the hospital and we got seen right away. So after three hours of nebulizer treatments, chest x-rays, and other tests, we were told that he just has some build up in his lungs, but he's fine otherwise. So we were sent home with some steroids and an antibiotic just in case.

We can still hear him wheezing but now he's starting to cough up and sneeze out the gunk which makes me happy. Saw the doctor yesterday and she said he looks fine, but to bring him back on Monday.

On the positive side the man that did the x-rays said Cruz was his best patient. He just layed there so still and didn't make a peep. He didn't cry the whole time he was there.

Now I need to start thinking about Christmas.

AutumnMeadow · 02/12/2007 09:25

Pebble I hope that E is feeling better now. I know how tired you must be as my two always wake each other up - been like it for months.

MKG, how scary for you. I hope the anti-biotics did the trick.

We havent gone mad on Xmas for the kiddies. Ella has a personalised stocking and tree bauble (same as ds) and then we have bought her the rocking ladybird from M&P's, an outfit, a musical book thing from Leapfrog and a few proper stocking fillers. For ds we have got him a new garage from ELC, a Thomas the Tank playset and a Golden Coin Maker (he has been going on about it for weeks and gets so excited when the advert comes on tv) plus a few stocking fillers. Have made sure that they have had the same amount/number of presents. More tricky than i thought. I had bought lots of bits from ebay, mainly cars from the film Cars, a watch and wallet with McQueen on. But then people started asking what they could get him so i ended up selling the items to my sister and MIL. I would rather he got stuff he wanted and also stuff that isnt noisy or too bulky. Slightly annoying as we had to go back to the drawing board as it were.

Going into town today and going to get the last 3 presents so that they are here and ready to wrap tomorrow pm when they are both at nursery. Then i need to sort them out in to family piles and try and hide them from ds. So far he hasnt seen anything as it is all wrapped and we have told him that they are presents for other people and that Santa has his presents not us I want to hide them so that i can say that Santa came and collected them. Might take them to my mums....

Hope everyone is having a good weekend

AutumnMeadow · 02/12/2007 10:17

Forgot to say that Ella is now crawling
