Morning all.....

Thought I'd start a new thread as the other was huge.

Bit late now but big hug to Beau..... hope you went back to sleep little man.

J & M still asleep, it's one good thing about having Mum & Dad around, I don't have to wake the girls up to do the school run.

Have now written all Xmas cards [smug emotion]

MKGrinchThatStoleChristmas · 05/12/2007 04:26

OK lately I feel incredibly terrible since I've got absolutely nothing interesting to say. Except, I learned what a "waist coat" is. A woman came in the store and asked about waist coats and as the girl I work with and I looked at each other like "what is the loon talking about" I was able to figure out that she wanted a . . . . VEST.

I hate working. I wish I didn't have to. I would give anything to go back to stay at home status. I feel useless, and there is never enough time to do anything I need to do.

I hope all of you are having better days than I am.

Hello all

Cam we will miss you, may have to resort to Royal Mail to keep in contact Very necessary though if you cant post on here. How is all the admin going?

Well done little J on sleeping in a big boy bed, they always look so grown up once they go in to a bed. Ella sounds like an excellent eater! B is getting better after a great start he sort of tailed off and since he has been poorly i have been trying to keep it plain. Will make more of an effort now as i dont want him turning in to a Jonah who would only have me and nothing else. It nearly wiped me out.

Abby well done of managing the morning nightmare on your own. It is so hard in the winter when you wake up to rain and wind to get motivated.

B is getting better, he is still being sick though. Mostly in the evenings and first thing in the morning. I am running out of clothes! He is sleeping a bit better too, last night was ok. He went down at 630, woke at 8 up till 11 down again after being sick twice, then up at 545. I just got up with him then as i knew he would be sick. He was

I am waiting in for a chest freezer to be delivered, the freezer we have just gets filled up so quickly with bread and stocks of milk there is no room for food.

I have also got them all their own stacking box for their washing. Has anyone seen the '16 and counting' programme on Discovery? They all have their own laundry box, it seems to work a treat!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY julieWoolie!!!!!!!!

Lups how is it going? Any news from your Dad?

MKG you sound down my lovely, come over for the visit with your Mom and stay with me. I will get the whole gang over

Has anyone done a house swap before for a holiday?

MrsJB how is the tribe?

SOH where the bloody hell are you and you TYG???????

AChristmasMeadow · 05/12/2007 10:37

Ah the wonderers have returned!

Lups, oh no poor you, i was going to text and see if you had had a god time. Do you fancy a KK and coffee pre Xmas?

LG&T, I have seen that program and the one where they tour the USA!! Oh my god! They do have some good systems going there though. Sorry to see that B is still being sick.

MKG, sorry to see that you are feeling a bit down lately. I hope things pick up for you

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JULIE, hope that J gets you something good to make up for not being there!

The kids were up lots last night between 12-4. Ds woke up coughing but it was really bad as his breathing went all wheezy and his little heart was going 19 to the dozen. That woke E up and then when i got her back down and climbed into bed she was up again. So back i trundled downstairs. The ds woke at 3.30 and vommed - too muck milk and the coughing - he was very hot and ended up comin gin our room once he had been stripped and calpoled up! E woke at 6.45 and fed and went down til 9.30 and ds woke at 8.50. So at least we got to have a lie in.

largeginandtonic · 05/12/2007 11:48

Good grief AM, what a nightmare you are having at night! Make you want to emigrate to warmer climates with less lurgy. I cant bear the cough\sneeze cycle.

My local KK store opens next week....

AChristmasMeadow · 05/12/2007 12:08

Oooh how exciting - bet you will be there for the first opening of the doors :D

Mrsjollyballs · 05/12/2007 13:56

Afternoon,

Happy Birthday JW........

lg&t, We are not too bad here, same old same really, J not brill full of cold but nothing serious. Great idea on their own washing baskets, can you train them to remember to put their clothes in them though and not on the floor? go on tell me they are already trained, how did you do it then?
KK, how yummy! We'll join you next time we are over for a dozen, each!

AM, you must be exhausted, I don't know how you do it, do you have a red bull for breakfast? Poor J, I hope he is better today.

We had a bad night too, it doesn't happen very often so I can't really complain, but J went to bed at 7 woke at 11 went back down at 12 and then was awake between 1.45 - 4am, she just coughs and snots everywhere when she lays down, poor thing! H woke us all up at 8am with woooooo hooooooo it's Wednesday, No school! followed by Maddie 10 minutes later, so no lie in our end today. [tired emotion]

Lups, tiling, pah, there's nothing to it, honest as long as you have iron knees, I have the wall tiles to do probably next week, it is my hidden talent. Today however I am in charge of SCREWING...................

Behave................ thats door handles.

Mrsjollyballs · 05/12/2007 21:19

juliewoolie · 05/12/2007 21:40

thanks for the birthday wishes. DP's buisness trip got cancelled so have been sat on the sofa all night scoffing takeaway and cake.

AM god you poor woman I say drug them so you can have a nights sleep.

LG&T hows B doing.

Must have been the night for bad nights A woke at 9 and was awake on and off until oh this morning!!! Crossing fingers toes and eyes he sleeps better tonight, although the numpty upstairs is doing a bit of DIY FFS its 9.30pm babies are trying to sleep - I swear if he wakes A he is going to feel full on mummy anger.

LUPS what happened with TT?

CAM you had better make sure that we all have your address to keep you up to date on whats happening here.

MrsJB well done in the decorating I would have thrown one almighty strop by now infact when we were doing our Kitchen earlier this year I threw many many wobblers about having to eat out of tin cans for weeks on end.

Had best drag myself back to more cake eating.

largeginandtonic · 06/12/2007 08:18

Morning all

Jonah's Xmas fair tomorrow so i will be baking up a storm in the kitchen all day. I do love fluffy white snow icing and Xmas sparkles

Kids would not dare leave washing on the floor...dh quite another matter....

largeginandtonic · 06/12/2007 08:18

I have put some new pics on my profile of sis in laws wedding.

twelveyeargap · 06/12/2007 08:19

I'm a terrible person, I haven't even tried to catch up. My eyes are swimming just looking at all the posts I've missed. I'll try again later.

April, I did notice when I was lurking a while back, that you were thinking of FF in the day? Did you start that? How is it going? I went more-or-less cold turkey and just pumped for comfort, so did it a bit different to you.

A turned 6 months this day last week and decided to sort out a few things in advance of the big day. She perfected her crawling technique (sort of baby seal style, but whatever floats her boat), got a tooth, started signing for "milk" and started sleeping through from 7 to 7. Not bad going at all. Bizarrely I am more tired than when I wasn't getting a full night's sleep. Maybe your body goes into survival mode and now I'm trying to catch up or something. Being about 30lbs overweight most certainly is adding to the problem. I really need to stop eating/ baking cakes. It's disgusting. I'm washing and wearing the few items that don't look hideous on me and have resolved not to buy any more stuff until I can fit into some of my old things.

Have I been on since getting my boobs measured? 34FF!

How is everyone getting on with food? I presume all the babies have started solids now? A is on three meals. I discovered she's less than keen on puree. She likes things she can hold and feed to herself or lumpier mashed/ lightly blended food. She scoffed a load of pasta bolognaise yesterday, is a big fan of toast with marmite or cream cheese and the only meal she's not fussed about is breakfast. You'd think she's be starving after the long sleep, but she just has a little sip of water or milk and a few spoons of cereal and then wants to play until around 9 when she has a feed and then a nap.

Anyhoo, what have I missed? I'll be sending my secret santa at the weekend or just after. So disorganised... I'm glad I haven't received mine yet because I'd feel so much worse if mine had come really early! Hehehe.

Hope everyone is ok. Will try to read through and catch up. Interweb was down for ages, I was away for a bit, laptop is at death's door (new red one arriving today hopefully) and life in general has got in the way. I've missed you!

twelveyeargap · 06/12/2007 08:24

Ooh, Mr LG&T looking very handsome indeed in his uniform. And you look absolutely gorgeous in that wedding pic!

largevirginbirthandtonic · 06/12/2007 09:52

AChristmasMeadow · 06/12/2007 11:51

Morning

TYG, wow there is no stopping A Ella is on 1 bottle so far at 3pm and that seems t be going down well. She is also having 2oz of formula with her porridge so thats good. Tomorrow i am going to start the feed mid morning as ff.

Lups, i am at them selling out. How rude! Goodo, look forward to seeing you again.

LG&T, lovely pics

MrsJB, I think it was you that killed the thread.....mwahahaha are all the units fitted now? Posted you a parcel yesterday, has H's birthday pressie in. I know its early but wanted to make sure it arrived.

Julie, so pleased that J didnt have to go away. Did you get Kylie tickets? One of the girls at work got them for the Wednesday.

Annme, hope work goes well.

Went out last night with the girls from work to a local Spa. Was ok, but the 'treatment' i had was not to my liking. I had a 40min floatation. Lying in a pool of sea salt on my back for 40mins going round in slow circles trying not to bump into people, whilst my legs were stinging coz i had shaved them! Got out before it finished as i couldnt relax! Had a nice dinner and was nice to catch up with the work lot. Only 5 weeks til i go back

Got home J woke so went to get him back to sleep and stayed there til 2am! Only woke up coz E woke. She woke again at 6.20 and again at 9.30. J was up at 3 and came in with us and coughed there until 8.30. Not a great night but not as bad as the previous one

Mum2G · 06/12/2007 11:58

Hi all

Hope all well, G was upstair with his dad and fell off the bed this morning, but got him checked and he is ok. I think we were more shaken up than he was. He says mama sometimes too now - not on purpose of course - but it is nice anyway!

AM you have been very organised with your cards and pressies, i expect we will do ours in the two weeks before! We are giving all the family coasters with G's handprints lazy getting them all the same but i think they will like them

JW - Hope you had a fab birthday - we thinking of getting George a wheelybug too - i like the cow one. We were gonna get him a walker but my brother has just told me they got him one

MrsJB - well done on all the DIY, i tried grouting once, but didn't have the patience, having the kitchen done is a nightmare, well worth it in the end though

LGT - glad B is feeling better, i definately need to learn to bake as i don't want G sat in front of tele all the time when he is older!

Cam - hope all is going well with your move preps

MKG - hope you are feeling better - hope you get some time off work over the christmas period

i have got cabin fever -been in bed for nearly a week with that 'just a virus' thingywotsit, G fine though thank goodness - dh had to take time off work, so there goes our holiday time!

G is on two solid meals a day now - lunch and dinner, mostly well pureed, he eats big quantities, will try brekkie with him next week - doesn't like baby rice without lot of fruit in with it though! Nor will he drink water! Am going to put very dilute fresh orange in water and try him with that if he gets constipated, i am trying to get him to practice with his trainer cup, but i think it's gonna take a while!

Just had the home saftey person round to check the house, it is quite good, you pay a tenner and they give you lots of saftey stuff, now have a long list of jobs for dh!

I have lost 11lbs! Was feeling really pleased and then dh came home with some mince pies!

Mum2G · 06/12/2007 12:02

can you tell i haven't spoken to a soul all week

AChristmasMeadow · 06/12/2007 12:17

Mum2G, sorry to see that you are poorly. A BIG WELL DONE on the 11lbs!! Thats fantastic

Bensonbluebird · 06/12/2007 13:40

Are our babies telepathic? A was awake between 2 and 5.30 this morning lying in his cot going "blah blah blah" every now and again he'd drop off for a couple of minutes and then he'd wake up just as I was dropping off. Arrrgh.... I only feel about 20% human today. I'm unwilling to say if he is better because I may jinx him again - but he is at the CM today and I am working!

I am feeling slightly smug about Christmas - I am making things - have made a dress for my niece and am making a lot of fabric shopping bags in nice patterns. I've designed my christmas cards and DP and I will set up the production line this weekend. DS1's job is to stamp stars on the envelopes. Not doing much Christmas shopping until we are in Paris....

SKYTVADDICT · 06/12/2007 14:53

Hi all

Not much to say so haven't been on for ages but been keeping up. Still feeling absolutely shattered most of the time and still taking spatone. Mostly we do one bf in the night but last night it was 2!

Managed to get on top of the housework this week. My mum been here looking after C today while I did upstairs.

AM- E sounds very much like C with bottles etc. He has bf when he wakes, about 3oz formula with ceareal, bf mid morning, sip of water with lunch, 6oz formula at 2.15 ish, sip of water with tea then bf before bed. I was also thinking the mid morning bf should go next but bottles are a real pain when out and about! I go back to work 24 Jan so have to get him sorted.

Think we are getting him a baby walker for xmas and a few other people are clubbing together to get him his next stage car seat.

BB When are you going to Paris? Sounds like heaven. Can't leave my little monster angel for a few hours yet but would love to go away for my birthday (will be 40 on the 17th!!!) Also very well done for making stuff. I am not that organised.

Spent ages this week trying to find some pink and glittery magnatex (sp?) - all the shops round here have sold out! Got it reserved at Melton Mowbray Argos for tomorrow which is about 20 miles or so away!
