Morning all.....

Thought I'd start a new thread as the other was huge.

Bit late now but big hug to Beau..... hope you went back to sleep little man.

J & M still asleep, it's one good thing about having Mum & Dad around, I don't have to wake the girls up to do the school run.

Can't stop, selling a bed, putting up a new one, visitor for the weekend, christmas shopping, ordering a christening cake and outfit, sorting and sorting...real life is catching up with me.

Shame about the job Pink, but good news about the payoff, you could paint your house pink with it Are you looking for another job?

April I do wish you would stop being so darn organised, it makes me feel flustered. What the heck are Smilers?

Sky, my bed is too empty at the moment Fun at first but cold now.

MrsJB, better work those men hard if you want your kitchen in soon Is work for A often slow at this time of year? Fingers crossed it soon picks up.

The chubster is officially sitting up properly now. He loves it and is very pleased with himself. Ds1 keeps saying, 'mummy look he can do it just like that baby at Beau's house, whasssername?' 'Mathilda?' say I, 'yes, the one with the big face like J's' he says He better learn to be a bit more complimentary about his future sis-IL.

cameroonmama · 23/11/2007 22:21

oooo April - what a lovely photo of the pair.

juliewoolie · 23/11/2007 22:43

Oh my god whats happened to everyone dont say our children have finally demanded to be looked after so we cant post.

Busy week in the JW household DP back to work only to be sent back in to hospital for more treatment this week so has been back off again, but he goes back proper on Monday - well he had better otherwise I am going to start writing a list of jobs for him to do.

PJ what a shame about your job, but at least they have given you a nice pay off so you can take your time finding another position. I also would go on a lovely once in a lifetime holiday, why dont you head to Oz or somewhere fab like that.

AM lovely photos.

MUM2G I hear you with the shouting I have decided thqat A really has aquired my mad and my partners mad streaks as this evening he spent 45mins shouting at me trying to eat his way through my jeans and then chewing a banana and seeing how far he could spit it.

Cam hows things going, how long till DH gets back?

Right DP just gone out to listen to some big fish little fish music so am going to go to bed and luxuriate in not having a snoring farting man beside me.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Lupins71 · 24/11/2007 07:38

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Im back

How are you all and your bouncing bundles???

We are all good, Arlen is huge and 2nd tooth is coming through, he eats for England we are now on pasta and toast and biscuits!!

Dont think I have time to fully catch up so give me the low down on whats been happening to all of you

AM thanks for the texts - was thinking of you last night while I was at KK buying my assorted dozen!!

Right need to go and see what else the internet has that i have missed so much - back laters

AutumnMeadow · 24/11/2007 10:31

Hey Lupins, how weird i was thinking of you this morning, thinking that i should text you and see how you are all doing.

Cam, well done to J and the sitting. Smilers are these thingys

Julie, LOL at A trying to eat through your jeans, and the banana thing.

I felt like poo last night and went to bed at 7.50pm! Went into town to meet friend and whilst drinking my decaf latte and eating my scrummy biscuit i came over all funny. Got home and was going hot then cold and went to bed at 5pm. Got up when the children came home form nursery and managed to get back into bed once Ella was asleep. The anoying thing besides the fact that i am very rarely ill, was that i should have been going for dinner with 3 girlfriends (we havent got together for ages). Feeling better today which is good.

Hows everyone else doing?

twelveyeargap · 24/11/2007 14:24

Hello. Phone and interweb finally fixed properly. Hurray. Now online buying a new 'puter as mine sounds like a generator starting up.

A started sitting properly the other day. And she can move across the floor in a half crawling/ half baby seal fashion. Her talents know no bounds.

Does anyone want a dozen cupcakes? Some chocolate cherry, some carrot? I made two dozen yesterday, but the NCT ladies only managed to eat half.

Mrsjollyballs · 24/11/2007 20:07

Lups and TYG lovely to have you back.

What's happened to scoot? She came back and then went again.

Well done to the sittng J and A. My J's a bit lazy me thinks. wonder where she gets that from.

h's tooth is out, the souris de dents vistited and left a pricely 2euros, farcking expensive these teeth. Whats the going rate there then now, I think I used to get 50p I've told him it's 2 for the first and then I think the mouse drops it down to a euro for the others, [tight mommy]
Cam do you have a mouse of a fairy in your house?

AM, sorry you had an ill day yesterday, I'm glad you are feeling better today. Shame you missed your evening out.

JW, Hope dh can get back to work for you,

Mine would if he could, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease!

twelveyeargap · 24/11/2007 21:01

Tooth MOUSE? Errr.... What's that about?

Mrsjollyballs · 24/11/2007 21:36

It's French TYG? Harrison came home from school declaring that the french for Fairy was souris. He didn't quite understand that the myth here appears to be a mouse and not a fairy.

I have no idea if it is true or correct of course.
Just thought Cam may know with her French knowledge.

ShowOfHands · 24/11/2007 23:04

Tis La Bonne Petite Souris based on a story where a mouse hides under a pillow and knocks out the teeth of an evil king.

Felicitations to the little hedgehog, how exciting and for what its worth MrsJB (how jolly exactly are your balls?), we have la fee in our house. It's a pound a pop over here and the tooth fairy has funded a brand new scooter recently

I've got a friend visiting who is lending a helping hand and wow what a difference it makes having someone else in the house. Only 3 weeks until dh comes back. But the good news is is that he thinks he has found us a house to rent, it sounds amazing with a couple of acres and 5 bedrooms so plenty of room for guests. Get booking! Keep your fingers crossed we get it.

April, hope you are feeling a bit better today.

Ooooo TYG, those cupcakes sound scrumptious, very Nigella and far too sophisticated for a country bumpkin like me

twelveyeargap · 25/11/2007 08:55

Hahaha, yes they're from "Domestic Goddess". Did I mention that A has slept through from bedtime the last two nights. HURRAAYYY! Well, at least I have more or less slept through the last two nights. She seems to wake very early in the morning, but I've just left her and she goes back to sleep.

She was waking up for a feed at around 3am and then wasn't hungry again until nearly 9 in the morning, so I started giving a dream feed again at 11, but she still wasn't particularly hungry first thing in the morning, so I dropped that too and she went through.

I'm SO relieved!

AutumnMeadow · 25/11/2007 10:54

tyg at A sleeping through. Well done, am hoping that i will be able to post similar soon.

Congrats to H on the little mouse thingy. I think i used to get 20p for little teeth and 50p for the back teeth. Was gutted when the dentist had to take my 4 back teeth out before i had my braces fitted as it meant that the tooth fairy didnt come Mum muttered something about 14 being too old to believe

Fingers crossed for the house Cam, so when can we all visit?? I am going to stay with MrsJB in March and then am hoping that everyone might come to mine in May for the 1st Birthday Party. Will need to pop it in my diary as i am soooooo busy

Feeling back to normal today thank you. Had a dodgy tummy yesterday but all better now.

The kiddies have had 2 good nights sleep which is good. Normally they are up 3+ times each but the the night before last they woke J at 2am and E at 3am then up J 8am and E at 6.30am. Last night J woke at 6.50am and E at 4am and 8.30am very pleased with that. J has had lots of praise and we even 'phoned' Farmer Christmas to let him know that he had been a good boy and slept in his own bed all night.

Dh told him last night that Farmer Christmas (as he is known in our house ) looks out of his house up in the sky at 8pm and makes sure that all the children are in their beds and are being good .

largeginandtonic · 25/11/2007 11:32

PMSL at the tooth fairy mouse, might introduce that one in this house, tootth fairy sooo dull. The twins and dd are all losing teeth at an alarming rate, we are nearing bankruptcy.

I feel dreadful, B awake at 5.45, food demanded but i try to keep him waiting as he is still being sick after his first feed. I had a dodgy tum (caught from April no doubt ) and eneded up waiting 20 mins. He was still sick anyway Crawled back to bed at 7.10 and handed over responsibility of the house and contents to DH. I woke at 10! First time i have had a lie in in blardy ages. If i forget about the first couple of hours anyway

Cam im very glad you have some help, it does make such a difference. Hope you manage to get the house, we will need a lots of rooms to stay, hehe.

SOH my lovely, the kids are all pinning after you J and M. Please come back soon. The train may be wise though, not sure i could take the stress of you and J and M in the car again

TYG those muffins sound delish, i dont have her Domestic Goddess book, on account of me already being one Please post cherry recipie, i feel i need it in my life

JulieWoolie, did dh have fun with the big and little fish moves? Does he get up in the morning to help?

April those stamp thingys look lovely! Glad that J and E are sleeping better at night. I def coming in May, not sure i will bring all the kids though...

Where is Scoot??????

Lupins71 · 25/11/2007 11:36

AM glad you are feeling better today, we used to tell Willow that it was the reindeer who were out flying about and would report back to santa which little children where awake lol!! the things we come out with for a good nights sleep

CAM good luck with the house

Well done with the tooth

I have a pretty emotional day coming up today - my dad who i havent spoken to since my brothers funeral is coming here today, he called and i told him he was a grandad so he is coming to meet them, not sure how i feel about it really am still full of alot of hurt and dissapointment but am also of the general opinion in life that people have the right to explain themselves and we all deal with things differantly - will update later

have a good day all, ps not sure i can take much more of the teething miserable swine!! will have to have shares in nurofen and medised

Mrsjollyballs · 25/11/2007 15:11

Thanks for enlightening me on the tooth mouse myth, Oh society of useless info.

AM, Clapping hands like a demented seal at the thought of March

cam my balls are very jolly afterall, tis the season to be jolly tra la la la lar la la la la. And £1

Lups, I hope today goes ok for you, I'm not surprised you are a little aprehensive.

lg&t, oh super one, hope you feel better soon, your brood may fall apart with out you to keep them in check. Are you sure it's just a tummy bug.

back to the elbow deep tile adhesive, When I post pic's of the final product be sure to admire and praise my floor tiling, OK?

AutumnMeadow · 25/11/2007 15:48

Lups, I hope today goes well for you x

LG&T sorry to hear that i passed my tummy thing to you. Hope you feel better in super quick time.

Am so looking forward to March MrsJB. Will try and book flights in January then it really will be real.

Am currently printing out some piccies of the kiddos to stick on the xmas cards that ds and i have been making this afternoon. There are only 9 of them so it hasnt taken too long. Need to find things to keep him occupied you see. He has already been out in the garden with dh gathering the leaves

Dh thinks that aliens have landed and taken his wife away, as i have so far today, ironed, cooked a roast lunch, tidied and done arts and crafts.....

Better go as the pics are ready now and they need to be stuck

largeginandtonic · 25/11/2007 16:41

Just a bug MrsJollyBalls, just a bug...

Lups i hope it goes ok for you, i have not seen my 'Dad' for years and he has no idea i have children. I often think of looking him up, curiosity mostly. My step Dad (real Dad to me) may be hurt by it and i dont really have a need, although sometimes i would like to know my medical history, particularly since having all the babies. Lots of love to you and it is so nice to have you back with us

I still feel vaguely rough, getting better now i think. No time for illness.

AM wow on the super mom antics today, you feel knackered warm and fuzzy later. The kids love a bit of art and craft, i farckin hate it. I wish SOH lived nearer, bet she is great at that sort of thing. I dont mind them doing it, it's just the mess afterwards.

We are attempting to potty train Hugs again. 2 days in and we have had not a one wee on the toilet 4 pairs of wet pants though. Im thinking cold air whipping round his nether regions when im out and about tomorrow aought to do it

Bensonbluebird · 25/11/2007 20:26

Hullooooo everyone,

My last few posts have been a litany of ills but I think we might be back in the land of the healthy! Poor old A has had an ear infection (the latest incarnation of his virus I think) but is getting better - who knows he might wake only 3 times tonight! N is much better but is suddenly afraid of the dark and has been waking a lot. I don't really want to get a night light. Any ideas?

Pink - Must be gutting to lose your job, hope the cash takes the edge off it.

LG&T - a lie in? you must be at death's door, hope you recover from your bug soon.

Doing all my online crimble shopping tonight and going a bit wild on the baker ross crafty website.

Pebblemum · 25/11/2007 23:22

Just a quick one before bed. Alana has her first tooth Funnily enough it isnt at the top where we have been feeling them for ages but right in front at the bottom. Its only a bit of white at the moment but its there!!!

Dh realised how hard it is now Alana is on the move, everytime he took his eyes off her for a second she was gone, usually trying to help herself to E's toys, the newspaper etc. Now he knows how it is for me all the time lol

largeginandtonic · 26/11/2007 11:21

Morning all.

Benson lovely to hear from you, glad you are all feeling better. Tis the season of plagues, we are all coughing in this house. I will need shares in cough syrup soon.

Pebble, yay for Alana on her tooth, did she teeth badly or did it just appear?

I feel better today, no idea where it came from but it has fecked off now. Good.

I have ben to Iceland, it was hell. You have to park the car behind the store and walk down a small alley way to get to the store front. I parked up and realised i needed a £1 for parking that would be refunded at the checkout. Si i unload the terrible 2 and put B in his Baby Bjorn, Hugs walking. Get to the store and ask for change for parking, walk back to car to place ticket in windscreen. Walk back to store, faff with £1 for trolley, Hugs runs off. Get Hugs back and get to the top of the first aisle, Hugs wants his nappy changed (dh relented and put him in a nappy this morning as i was in a bad mood , will explain that later) Abandon trolley and walk back to the car to change Hugs, go back to the store. Finish shopping with Hugs running off alot. Walk back to car, unload everything. Take trolley back to store, retrieve £1. Go back to the car, sit down. Remember i had not refunded my ticket.... needless to say i said stuff it to the £1 and came home.

This fiasco took an hour.

The reason i was mad this morning, before the shopping debacle. DH put a load of washing on last night, white's, with a bright pink new pair of dd jammas and navy cord trousers and red cord trousers plus a pair of red spiderman pants I got a 'sorry, thought it was all white'

I have also been up since 530 with B again, he wakes i feed him, change him put him back to bed. It is 6 by this time, i then lie there thinking i may as well get up for the next hour till the feckin alarm goes off. I get the kids breakfast and tidy up, we take dh to work leaving the house at 8.

Can you tell my day is not going well? I have toddlers this afternoon, if i leave now i may just make it.

Feck it all

LaBonnePetiteSouris · 26/11/2007 15:37

Time to get back behind my sofa is it? Kettle's on. Chocolate already there. If you leave now you could be in Norfolk for dinner. We're having lasagne or fish pie depending on whether haddock or mince is at the front of the freezer.

I'll be expecting you.
