Morning all.....

Thought I'd start a new thread as the other was huge.

Bit late now but big hug to Beau..... hope you went back to sleep little man.

J & M still asleep, it's one good thing about having Mum & Dad around, I don't have to wake the girls up to do the school run.

Have you all started shopping yet? Don't forget to start a "Marsy this is what we got!" thread when you're done.

cameroonmama · 19/11/2007 19:49

TYG - you need to get a life If you want to get stains out come over here, I've got a few million zillion you could try to get rid of.

Now, who keeps stealing all the hours in the day? Don't even mention admin LG&T, I am in admin hell.

Julie, I am so at missing you and Archie, I so wanted to meet you both. I know that you of all people will be happy to come to the meet-up in Dubai

Welcome back summerfruit.

MrsJB, get that kitchen sorted Do you not have tins of Cerelac down there in Charentes? DS1 absolutely lived off it in Cameroon. You know what those disgusting froggies also do? They measure out the amount of meat, veg etc when weaning so that the baby gets only x amount at x age and so on, tough titties if poor little baby is hungry YOU CANT HAVE ANY MORE, because you've eaten your 0,0000005 of a gram of chicken for today. Do you think that's how they manage to stay so slim when they grow up Btw, loved the baby sleeping interpretation, I did chuckle.

As I also did imagining the size of a pillbox SOH. Frankly the bush outside Tesco's was bad enough. I can't believe you broke down as well nightmare... I must say I thought J was an absolute star, and was only sorry not to have a chance to chat to N a bit more but he was looking quite scared and hid in the kitchen

Bensonbluebird · 19/11/2007 21:12

Sounds like you all had super fun last saturday. Dubai? how about cold, wet, dark Edinburgh? doesn't that sound more appealing?

Summerfruit - welcome back. We have had bronchiolitis too, Aidan is just recovering after about 2 weeks.

Still worried about DS1 though, he still has a sore tummy and had a temperature again last night. He has finished his antibiotics but we need to wait a few days for them to clear his system before doing another test - I'm just worried that he will get really ill again before then. I also just really want him to be well again, I think that he is worried that he will have to go back to hospital.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 19/11/2007 22:03

BB I really hope your little ones get better soon.

AM, great pics, was quite sad to see that Mathilda did not have a lovely pink frilly dress on.

Cam, not so keen on the celerac tbh although have not had it from a tin before I don't think, but it is here! We do all like the salsifis. Have no idea what famlily of veg it is but it is yummy.

Off to bed now, it's late for me. xx

cameroonmama · 19/11/2007 22:50

Oh BB, I do hope they are both back on form soon.

I too loved the photos, I don't think I have ever met a more smiley baby than M!

Cerelac is a cereal not a vegetable this Perhaps it is just for the 'developing world' market and it is by the dreaded don't say the word on MN, Nestle.

I have given up trying to get Alana's bibs back to the lovely crisp white colour they once were and believe me I have tried. I am now considering dyeing all her white ones orange to save the hassle

Where is everyone???

Tis too quiet.

I have walked to toddlers today with Hugs and Beau in the new tank buggy i got from ebay. It is bloody hard work and i hope to have burnt off at least a million calories. Also been to the Post Office and got some bunny food for the remaining rabbit. My life is entertaining, no?

B screaming his head off, tired grumpy little thing that he is. He has thrown up the last feed last night and first one this morning in spectacular fashion. Think it is because he has gunk on his chest and when he has been laid flat for a while it pools. Milk on top means bluegrgh, everywhere. More excitment.

Have a washing pile as big as dh to put away, for those that know i now have to carry it all the way up stairs from the kitchen. I cant be bothered, it is too heavy, dont want to put it away and as soon as i start B will go really nuts and want picking up.

What is everyone else doing?

largeginandtonic · 21/11/2007 13:12

Apart from cleaning bibs... you freakish lot

cameroonmama · 21/11/2007 13:48

I think I must really be a slatternly lazy mother as it had never really crossed my mind to be so thorough with my bibs, after all for most of the time it has been someone else cleaning them and not me

Poor Beau, he did sound quite gunky the other day. I hope it clears up soon. Ds1 is out on a playdate at his girlfriends, which means no extra school run and no being shot/maimed/yelled/asked for food until at least 3.30 this afternoon. bliss. Instead I have been doing admin and more admin, insurance Everyone else must have much more exciting lives and you are all obviously far too busy to post.

AutumnMeadow · 21/11/2007 17:25

Wow, where is everyone? It's very quiet in here.

Nothing exciting to report - only a few more pressies to get and wrap. Going to start on the Xmas cards next week.

Roly Mo - aka Ella is managing to make one movement forward before collapsing in a heap. She is chatting away and her favourite word is dada. She is eating more over the last few days which is good and am hoping will make a difference to her sleep. last nigth she only woke twice rather than 3/4/5 times she ahs been doing of late.

Hope everyone else is ok xx

juliewoolie · 21/11/2007 22:20
Mum2G · 22/11/2007 12:05

Hi all thought i would take a break from working and sneak on here for a catch up.

AM - glad Ella is settling more at night, G is waking several times most nights - still getting used to his cotbed.

Lgt - Hope B is feeling better, G was like that with his cold, first feed of the day, never stayed til after he had cleared out the gunk.

I have found a mum and babe group to go to and went yesterday, met some nice mummies and some very tiny babies, had a cuddle but had to give them back. Made me quite broody but don't know if i could go through all that sickness again - will see how i feel in a year or two!

G is rolling all over the shop to get to where he wants to be, and has days where he is constantly shouting, i was worried that something was up but i think he is just doing it because he can!

MIL has sent me some painting overalls from ikea for feeding George, haven't used them yet - poor child they are very rustly.

We are changin our dining room into a playroom - we never eat in there anyway, maybe three times a year

Am off to manchester for a hen night next weekend, the theme is 'glitter and sparkle' - still have to find an outfit - will be spending two nights away from G - will miss him loads

Hope everyone else is having a more exciting day than me, editing text for grammar errors very boring! Right best get back to it

Pinkjenny · 22/11/2007 17:53

Am going to read and catch up later, but didn't want you to think I'd disappeared in a pool of self pity.

The news from this end is that my boss came to see me and offered me 30k to not go back. Charming. I've accepted, after some hard bargaining. Obviously.

Fuckers.

And thank god for Bickiepegs. Lexie loves them.

AutumnMeadow · 22/11/2007 20:13

I see another chatty day going on in the world of the May ladies

Pink, Bummer on the job situ but great news on the pennies.

Been to baby swimming today, Ella loves it. Then went to Pixifoto to collect my pictures. They are gorgeous and we are so pleased.

Bought myself 2 new pairs of shoes today - was getting bored of trainers!

Where are you all?

SKYTVADDICT · 22/11/2007 22:29

Hi all

Been keeping up but not much to say so not posted.

Have wrapped my secret santa pressie now so just need to get it to the post office.

I really need a new haircut, new glasses, new winter coat and clothes etc but have no money! Also feeling very bogged down with all I have to do (washing, ironing, housework etc) so think hair cut and colour would be best.

Can't seem to get my head round xmas either and don't know where to start!! Kids have done lists so perhaps better get going on those.

DP out gritting for the first time at the moment - didn't think it was that cold. He will probably be out tomorrow night too so that means he will be knackered for the weekend but he gets money for going out.

Going to bed now to stretch out as I will have it all to myself (at least until about 1 am)

AutumnMeadow · 23/11/2007 09:12

It's so cold! I think i need to get me some slippers and a dressing gown.

I have just ordered some Smilers from Royal Mail. They have a picture of J&E on plus a stamp, very cool. I have Xmas ones and have ordered some 'Thank You' ones as well for all the thank you notes i will have to do.

I have scanned and uploaded a pic of J&E, he looks so much older than 2.7yrs.

Hope you are all ok. Off to have my eyebrows done once E is at nursery and then off to meet a friend for coffee.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 23/11/2007 12:44

Right I'm back, you can all come back now too.

Had the FIL here for a few days so have been MIA, we've had a good week even though it has pissed it down all week! Been doing quite a bit on the kitchen, it's painted, the lights are in and we have started tiling the floor (slow job) [annoyed emotion]. Hopefully we can get the floor finished in the next week and then start fitting the units and appliances the week after, wooo hooo home straight!

Pink I'm sure you'll enjoy the pennies fom work. Will you find something else?

Sky, I hope you enjoyed your stretch in your big bed, I feel your pain with the no money bit at the moment. Dh has NO work still!! Begining to bite my nails about it a little. Just keep telling myself something will come up!! He may have to come back to work in the UK for a while.

AM, enjoy your fun filled day. Hope J&E are well, beautiful photo on your MSN of them. x
