nowbringussomeJammypudding · 14/11/2007 17:30

about the mother who died. Very sad. What happened?

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 14/11/2007 18:05

Hello all

JBM...how terrible........on a similar note I went to the cemetery yesterday to go and see my dad and he has a little 4 year old next to him ....well another grave was being dug next to her yesterday and apparently her 9 year old sister has just died ....life is so unfair sometimes isn't it?

House is a tip and I can't do anything due to lack of a kitchen....so far so good....fish and chips last night, microwaved spag bol and salad tonight

Hope everyone is ok....very quiet on here.....

PS Peking duck pizza sounds bloody lovely to me...so don't take any notice of the pizza purists Jammy ...glad you had a good day x

andiemisletoe · 14/11/2007 18:39

terrible news jbm

foxythesnowman · 14/11/2007 18:44

That is so sad. The poor family. It just doesn't bear thinking about.

And the family who lost their daughter and now the other, so tragic.

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 14/11/2007 20:05

Is everyone off having a real life?

I've got one eye on my students who are chatting but MN is much more interesting but there's nooooooo oooonnnneeee hhhheeeeerrrreeee

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 14/11/2007 20:10

Well this is making cheery reading. And now I must sound like a right unfeeling so-and-so. Both these cases are very very sad, but without wanting to sounds callous, I'm just trying not to dwell on them all night. DH came home from work with a story he'd heard about a newborn baby's death, and my sister emailed me earlier in the week with news about the death of her neighbour, and I don't know I can take any more.

justbeme · 14/11/2007 20:11

Im here!!!

She was only 29 and apparently went into a diabetic Coma?? Not sure exactly what happened. I think I may know who she is now - DP couldnt understand why I got upset earlier after I put L to bed - "But you don't even know her" he said - I know that, but looking at little L, I thought if anything happened to me, then she'd never remember me.......and nor will that poor baby

Oh god, anyone got anything to say on a happier note?

Im looking forward to The Secret Millionaire at 9pm

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 14/11/2007 20:13

Hello Jammy - I know how you feel ....its all around you when you look....but you shouldn't dwell on it....just makes me realise how lucky I am and life is too short for the petty arguments and feelings I tend to have....

justbeme · 14/11/2007 20:13

How about How to Look Good Naked?
Now that is interesting - I like seeing "normal" naked women and then i don't feel so bad - no airbrushing in sight!!

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 14/11/2007 20:13

You don't have to know the person to feel sad or bad about it.

Evening JBM

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 14/11/2007 20:14

hi Norty and JBM.

Changing the subject, my hair is red, but not the right red, so it's being done again tomorrow.

OP posts:
HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 14/11/2007 20:15

Did the colour not take very well Jammy? I have difficulty sometimes as my hair is very strong and colours can slide off so to speak!

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 14/11/2007 20:29

My friend had erred on the side of caution and got a more muted colour than I wanted. I can see why, I have quite a lot of grey and she was concerned how the colour would appear on the grey bits. So she's getting in the brighter colour to top it up.

annobalthebignosereindeer · 14/11/2007 20:52

Evening all. Have had sick ds1 today so haven't done a thing - I even managed to stand up andie

I have just come back from osteopath - back was sore after falling down stairs on the weekend.

Is anyone into sewing? I've found a great website (here)for buying kids fabrics - a friend is going to make the boys some duvet covers...
