has everybody gone?

sorry about the spd/slipped disc trace, and still corssing everything for Chloe. I'd love to meet up. I've got the car so we can whizz down to see you whenever it suits. We have baby group on Monday and Thursday so any other day is fine.

DD isn't rolling yet either and she's about six weeks older than the foxcub! she did say "mama" today though so I'm beaming with pride. She was very tired and grumpy and was fretting in my friends arms. when se saw me she said "mama" two or three times. It was lovely!

Just got the DCs to bed....it's been a busy day for us and DS was nearly another firework accident statistic . He had a sparkler and was turning round in circles aking patterns with it. DH shouted at him cos he nearly swiped his friend with it, nad he got startled, and managed to hit himself in the arm with it. It melted through his fleece jumper and stuck the jumper to his arm. After half an hour under the tap he has two very small blisters on his arm, and a bit of fleece melted into his skin. It could have been much worse, but he was hysterical. apart from that minor mishap a good day was had by all and the bonfire was fun.

sorry to hear you're not well fury. Is it definately food poisoning rather then a bug. There's a vomiting bug doing the rounds here at the moment.

We've got some babylegs too. they were a free gift when I ordered some nappies from NappyNeeds. very cute on!

flashbangfoxy · 03/11/2007 22:11

another bumbo fan here - am trying to borrow one at the mo. Ebay are cheaper, but the seem expensive on P&P.

DynamiteDaisy · 03/11/2007 22:14

hay foxy....how is the feeding regime? Do you feel it's getting results?

flashbangfoxy · 03/11/2007 22:17

Ouch Daisy! Poor MRR (is he still MRR, or is he Ben10 or the like now?) is he ok?

How lovely of DD to say Mama!! That is very special. Is she still holding her arms up to you?

Fury - flat lemonade and lots of it. Then salty chips when you can face food. Hope you are ok

flashbangfoxy · 03/11/2007 22:21

Yes Daisy, I do. I've done the best I can this week, so if it hasn't worked I am perfectly happy to introduce formula. I absolutely feel I couldn't do any more.

I was invited out tonight, but I know I'd have my drinking head on - someone mentioned margaritas - and it would affect the feeding too much. But I was so tempted! Perhaps a bottle isn't such a bad idea

DynamiteDaisy · 03/11/2007 22:24

ta foxy....yes she is, but she's reaching out to everyone now as well, which is lovely.

He is still MRR, but as I did my bonfire namechange he wants to be WhizzBangBoomRanger.

My mum used to give us flat lemonade when we had poorly tums. It works, but I can't go withing an inch of any sort of lemondae now after a particulary nasty bout of food poisoning when I was 16. Even the very smell of it makes me want to throw up!

bloody knackered after today.....am off to have a cup of tea and then bed!

DynamiteDaisy · 03/11/2007 22:25

fingers crossed for some impressive weight gain then!

Night x

flashbangfoxy · 03/11/2007 22:28

Love WBBR! Great name!

Enjoy your 'nice cup of tea'. Night Daisy, sleep well.

Might as well head off myself, but my tum is too full of chinese.

BadZelda · 04/11/2007 11:37

Is no one around this morning?

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 04/11/2007 11:56

Just in from a walk to the local craft fair. Wasn't much we wanted (and could afford) but gave us a walk and gave DH 45 mins or so to browse the paper in peace.

just popping by before going back to bed.

am going to make everyone today as am having a babymoon.

I seem to be getting away with shouting "I can't! I'm making milk!" from my bed. I'm only up now as DP has taken my big 3 out. I did get up and make crumpets for everyone, sort the washing and get the kids ready.

But I didn't have to which made a difference! So I shall love you and leave you.

If only I had wireless working, I'd be doing this in bed.

andiemisletoe · 04/11/2007 13:33

very foxy I am decorating

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 04/11/2007 13:56

I'm trying to motivate myself to do anything today..

DD's got a gunky eye...oh horrible!

annobal · 04/11/2007 16:40

Hope you all had lovely bonfire nights.

Foxy, am very at your babymoon. Hope you're making lots of lovely milk.

Daisy, poor MRR - hope his arm is ok.

Norty - cooled boiled water or breast milk for gunky eye works wonders (I used to squeeze breastmilk onto a cotton wool pad - getting a nice mental image - eeuww )

annobal · 04/11/2007 16:51

Andie, I'm really sorry but can't make wed - I have double booked and even though I should be finished at 11.30, I don't think I would have time to get there and back for 3 for the school run . Can do the following wed if you are around

justbeme · 04/11/2007 17:33

Ahh Daisy - thats lovely about DD but not so good about DS - ouch!

Well, I feel like shit - i almost had a breakdown an hour ago - I think I need Bumper.

Went out shopping this afternoon (I finally dragged myself out) and at the end it was time for L's feed - so I tried to feed her in the car as she had started crying - I've NEVER known her to refuse a feed - she was going all stiff and as I put my boob to her mouth she was screaming and going all red - I tried to pacify her for 15 mins, tried teething gel - but she wouldnt have it. She fell asleep on the way home for 10 mins and I tried again after a nappy change - but NO she refused my boob again. So in desperation (as it was way past her feed now) we gave her a bottle and SMA and she drank 5 oz's and now she's happy as larry? Why? any ideas?
I have felt down since friday when I cried at the baby group, when she had lost/not gained weight - so now I feel even more crap.
Sorry about the long post, just needed to get it all out.

annobalthebignosereindeer · 04/11/2007 17:37

JBM I'm so sorry - I have no advice but wanted to sympathise .

annobalthebignosereindeer · 04/11/2007 17:45

JBM have a look here on Kellymom. hth

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 04/11/2007 17:50

JBM, again, no advice but poor you

OP posts:
justbeme · 04/11/2007 17:54

Good old Kellymom - thanks Annobal - didnt think to look there (too stressed out!!)

Never knew "Nursing Strikes" existed!!

Well, now Ive read that, its funny - she's got a little red mark on the end of her tongue (like she's bitten it IYKWIM) - so maybe its sore for her. - I'll see how she reacts to her next feed -

oh and Fury - Yummymummy has said on the "Has anyone seen YM thread" that her step dad died today - correct me if Im wrong, did she say something like that before to you??

justbeme · 04/11/2007 18:03

Great, Im feeling like shit, cooking the sunday roast which will be ready in about 5 mins or so and DP has just invited his friends round at 7pm when L goes to bed!

and when I said that Im scared of getting depression again, he said "lots of people get depressed and they get over it" WTF AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 04/11/2007 18:19

JBM, poor you. And at DP There is a difference between getting depressed and having depression.

I had treatment for depression last year. In fact only stopped treatment when I got pregnant. I have also been scared about having it again. I think I was borderline PND for a bit, but with a little luck and support have avoided it I think. So BIG HUGS, I do sympathise. Tell your DP you need to take it easier for a bit. Try to get some time for you, even if it's just a nice bath now and then. I find spending some time outside works wonders by the way. By kind to yourself and do get some support if youneed it, either in RL or here

OP posts:
annobalthebignosereindeer · 04/11/2007 18:26

Poor you . Can you disappear and leave dp to it? It sounds like a hot bath and early night might help? What is it about dps and stupid comments?

trace2 · 04/11/2007 18:48

justbeme (hugs ) so sorry you feeling like this please go to gp

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 04/11/2007 18:49
