Morning all

Welcome back Natty and QoQ

Smug alter: I actually had a good nights sleep last night....went up early and slept right through....assume DD didn't wake but who knows ....When I got her up, she was the opposite way round in her cot to the way I left her

Right, no washing machine, no dishwasher and no cooker....aaarrrrggghhh what am I going to eat tonight?

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 13/11/2007 08:24

Morning. I had best night for ages DD slept unitl 4, and then 6.15. And her pooing has resolved

Takeaway sounds in order Norty

Hi Jammy

Did you help the pooing situation? I've found that K's poo's are definitely more solid and it took more effort from her ....she's used to it now though

Right off to put her down for her nap...and my shower...back a bit later x

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 13/11/2007 08:33

All I did was make sure she had as much BF as I could manage to get fluid into her and thankfully after another hard poo this morning, a soft (but solid-ish) one followed. (Sorry if TMI for breakfast time)

Well done for a full night's sleep by the way

Good morning

DD1 is on hunger strike....any ideas? She's coughing a LITTLE bit - but can't work out if it's because she's actually sick or whether she's putting it on...

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 13/11/2007 08:59

Jammy

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Hope you have a great day x

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 13/11/2007 09:00

Hi BZ, not sure I can help with hunger strike problem. Try telling her if she's not well enough to eat, then she's not well enough to [insert something she likes] ?

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 13/11/2007 09:00

Morning BZ - no idea re older children I'm afraid....but do you just get a "feeling" if she isn't well IYKWIM

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 13/11/2007 09:00

Thanks Norty

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 13/11/2007 09:01

Did you get your first "mummy" card?

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 13/11/2007 09:04

Yes I did, and I was SO pleased. DH doesn't normally pick cards with words on, less so mum/sister/aunt/whatever, so I was really surprised to get a lovely card that says happy birthday mummy on the front

OP posts:
HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 13/11/2007 09:07

Awww that's lovely....

I can't wait for that...I just hope my DH thinks of it....he got his first daddy card 3 days after she was born ...luckily I was very organised and had sorted out birthday cards and Father's day cards just in case - even though she wasn't due until the 13th.

Sputnik · 13/11/2007 09:07

Happy birthday Jammy

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 13/11/2007 09:12

Thanks Sputnik.

DH missed out on Fathers Day, we hadn't expected him to be a dad by then, and we only got out of hospital on fathers day so no chance to do anything. Actually our dads missed out too because just when I would have been making their cards I gave birth! But I think they forgave us.

annobalthebignosereindeer · 13/11/2007 09:14

Happy birthday Jammy! It's also DH's birthday today.

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 13/11/2007 09:16

thanks annobal - tis truly a great day to be born

OP posts:
nowbringussomeJammypudding · 13/11/2007 09:18

btw I was actually a Friday the 13th baby

OP posts:
Sputnik · 13/11/2007 09:21

I don't think it occurs to very little kids to fake illness, tbh. DD actually has to be pretty ill to "act" ill, IYSWIM.

Jammy, before you know it you will be feeling nostalgic for lovely fragrant milk poo

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 13/11/2007 09:24

Time will tell Sputnik. At the moment I am pleased that her poo isn't liquid and therefore doesn't get absolutely everywhere and doesn't drip as I carry liner to the toilet

OP posts:
BadZelda · 13/11/2007 10:50

Ah Sputnik...that's because you have not met my DD1...for someone not yet 3 she can be a right drama queen! I was a bit ill on the weekend, hence didn't feel like eating - and since then EVERY meal has been accompanied by screams of 'I'm sick, I'm sick'...only for her to run off happy as larry once mealtime is over. Annoying!

andiemisletoe · 13/11/2007 11:09

morning all just been to dentist and hygienist yuk yuk yuk

no good nights sleep for us third lot of imms yesterday and ds2 has been awake on and off since 4 with high temp and wanting to bf constantly have just put him in the cot in the hope he may sleep for 5 mins

BZ children never starve themselves so I would just leave her offer food but if she is really hungry she will eat. The only thing that stops them sometimes is a really sore throat

welcome back QOQ and Natty

ladees what time are we meeting in kingston tomorrow?

foxythesnowman · 13/11/2007 13:04

Happy Birthday toooo Yoooooooooooouuuu Jammy!

foxythesnowman · 13/11/2007 13:10

And as for the rest of you with your chubby, sleeping babies...

Jammy, a bottle of cooled, boiled water (still warm) might do the job. Used to work on DS2 a treat.

BZ, I have a sure fire way of flushing out bogus tummy aches. Sure, they don't have to eat their meal, but "I'm just going to have this packet of crisps" - if they don't beg for some then they are ill. Am sure its not in any good parenting guide though

foxythesnowman · 13/11/2007 13:50

Come back.

I was joking.

Please.

I've stopped stomping now. Honest.
