i must get my laptop re configured for wireless.....I'm missing too much telly shut away in the back room!

Can you try some cooled boiled water annobal? see if that sorts things out while you get back to your usual fruitiness?

DynamiteDaisy · 04/11/2007 21:19

annobal......I found this on kellymom. I've not read it but it might be helpful?

DynamiteDaisy · 04/11/2007 21:20

annobalthebignosereindeer · 04/11/2007 21:20

i might try that tomorrow - don't think he'll take the bottle though - have just had a mango, 3 carrots and 3 pears - if that doesn't get things moving, i don't know what will.
unfortunately had his willy covered... however charley has just tried to light his fart

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 04/11/2007 21:24

Hey guys!

Daisy, you doing anything? Wanna help me with this? I've become a little addicted to finding this stupid owl thing on various websites.

The mustard poo sounds about right annobal. It looks like you could spread it on your ham!

annobalthebignosereindeer · 04/11/2007 21:25

thanks daisy. i'll see how he is tomorrow - he's been quite grizzly today and seems to hurt when he poos so may take him to drs if no improvement. feeling a bit like a paranoid mum though...

annobalthebignosereindeer · 04/11/2007 21:27

thanks holly. lol re diaper hunt - good luck!

Sputnik · 04/11/2007 21:28

DynamiteDaisy · 04/11/2007 21:31

annobal, don't feel paranoid...if things are diffeent than usual and seem wrong, it's best to get things checked out.

annobalthebignosereindeer · 04/11/2007 21:33

Thanks for all your lovely messages -
Well L had a feed with no problem before bed - so am v happy about that - and yes Sputnik, you are right, when she refused me I took it very personally and Im sure she looked annoyed with me as well!

Couldnt pass on the guests as they are a couple (not just bloke friends) - they've JUST gone (am feeling tired as had a stressful afternoon.)

Tomorrow have 2nd swimming "lesson" for L and then possibly out for lunch with the other Mums.

I was like you Jammy - had to come off the AD's when I found out I was pregnant, so have been kind of expecting "that feeling" to creep up on me. I'll see how it goes - although havent had my 3mth HV visit yet.

Am off now - sweet dreams all! x

andiemisletoe · 04/11/2007 22:15

jbm sorry didn't mean to ignore you my ds has had a very little and often day today and he sometimes refuses if he is crying because he is tired, glad it all worked out in the end and enjoy the swimming tomorrow

DynamiteDaisy · 04/11/2007 22:21

jbm....I'm glad things are better for you. From my own POV, I find it very difficult feeding Em anywhere that isn't home. I use a V-shaped pillow at home so her body is supported along its length. I think she feels a bit precarious and uncomfy without it, so frets too much to feed properly and then I fret and a visious circle ensues. It's something I really need to work on as it is a bit limiting.....I'm very envious of the women I see BFing all over the shop, seemingly without any problems.

If you feel things are getting a bit overwhelming, please speak to your GP....don't let things get on top of you unnecessarily . I'm taking sertraline which is fine with BFing. I'm on the lowest dose and for ages I was wondering if it was the right amount and thought about stopping BF so I could get back on fluoxetine (my previous AD of choice ), but it all seems to be coming together now, and I feel better than I have done for over two years now!

flashbangfoxy · 04/11/2007 22:29

Thanks for that link Sputnik. Its re-assured me no end. If everything I've done hasn't worked, then I'll happily give her a bottle.

And then go and have a very large marguerita!

JBM, hope you have a nice day tomorrow. Don't over do things, you have to look after yourself too!

Night everyone xx

BadZelda · 05/11/2007 08:26

good morning

hmm....ewan is cute - shame I missed that. Was it the series when he goes round the world by motorbike with his friend?

Elsbells · 05/11/2007 08:30

Morning - I have just about figured out who is who again with your name changes. Very cloak and dagger this thread.

Foxy I hope all is going well with the babymooning and milk making. Don't be too hard on yourself whatever happens. I stopped BF DD end of Sept and though it was not my ideal choice to finish then, I know I tried my best (and tried, and tried and tried again).

Daisy if you are out there I am really intrigued by BLW. I looked at the website but am still confused. How do you cook your veg and what size have you given DD to hold and eat. Can they not choke? I am so scared of finger food. With DS I didn't even give him toast for ages for fear of choking (until I saw in his book that the nursery had when he was 8m old) . And do they have to sit in a highchair or can it be just on your lap (DD loves sitting on my lap when I am eating so that suits me). Any tips would be great. Started pureeing this weekend but want to open our options.

BadZelda · 05/11/2007 08:30

Hmm - I've read that only 2% of the alcohol that goes into your body gets to the breastmilk, and that if you're sober enough to drive you're sober enough to breastfeed...so one single solitary margarita would probably be fine? I don't dare sample the mojitos at the mango though, as they make them SO strong...oh well, only another year or so

BadZelda · 05/11/2007 08:34

Good morning Elsbells

Maybe I can answer your question? I've been finding that if I steam or roast stuff so that it's soft, and leave it big enough to hold (e.g. florets of broccoli, sticks of carrot, french beans) DD gets on fine with it? Other stuff that seems popular is mashed potato and anything her older sister is eating Breastmilk is supposed to start off the digestive process if either mixed with the food or fed straight after...I'm not sure how it works with formula though.

Aitch on this site has a whole blog about it here which I found v. interesting.

Elsbells · 05/11/2007 08:36

Morning Badzelda
Ugh the thought of a hangover with 2 DC's just makes me want to reach for the chocolates instead to combat the stress.
