MMMMM sounds yummy Leaky

SOL - i had a hv who couldn't plot points on the graph, then insisted on lecturing me about how the graphs work and why she was worried about Erin...I never went back

CaptainDippy · 30/10/2007 21:34

Hi Leaky! Ooooh, I know what you mean about "The F-Word", but GR is so fiiiine!

Hee! Hee!

What was I doing ........ !!?

Have just played another word in our Scrabble game - c'mon, Elkie!

leakyR · 30/10/2007 22:06

Yeuch Gordon Ramsay is not fine! He's a sweary, but charismatic ugly bugger.

Ended up watching whole thing. Def off to bed now. Goodnight!

normabutty · 30/10/2007 22:07

LOL, CD I think we have the same taste in men

CaptainDippy · 30/10/2007 22:31

Where is everyone tonight!!?

elkiedee · 30/10/2007 22:40

I had a busy day today, hadn't expected to be at NCT morning more than 2 hours but chatter still going strong when I left after nearly 3 hours - my mum arrived before we got back home Then lots of tidying and sorting, an appointment with a kitchen consultant at Homebase - seemed like a really nice bloke, very complicated discussion at a time of day when I'm always my most tired and sleepy and worrying that D will go into a tired tantrum. Actually he was pretty good.

SOL, sorry to hear you had a silly health visitor, they really should check more carefully.

LOL at the Gordon Ramsay discussion.

I've played my Scrabulous turn, but the application has crashed AGAIN.

CaptainDippy · 30/10/2007 22:49

Yey you played your turn! Sadly, Leaky has gone to bed so I'll have to leave it for another day! Glad the kitchen thingy went ok and D was well behaved! I'd love a new kitchen x

CaptainDippy · 30/10/2007 22:49

Speaking of bed. Night ladies. xx

elkiedee · 30/10/2007 23:26

Sexonlegs · 31/10/2007 08:07

Hope you are all well and have had good nights. All good here albeit chilly - our boiler has packed up!

Our tiler has just turned up to do the bathroom, yay can't wait for it to be done, less 'stuff' hanging around. Poor ds' room look like a bomb site, good job he doesn't know or care The plumber is coming back on friday to finish it all off, so we'lkl have a toilet and sink but most importantly shower ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

RIght off to get ready for the day

CaptainDippy · 31/10/2007 08:42

Morning! Hurrah for tiler! Hope he gets it done quickly and you are happy with the result - It is soooo nice to get stuff done, isn't it!? I am sooo pleased we've got our lawn up now - all ready for seeding in the Spring - Hopefully we will have a nice lush lawn the girls can play on next summer.

Right, hair to do, shoes and coats to get on so we can get DD1 off to Pre-School....

weepotion · 31/10/2007 08:58

leakyR · 31/10/2007 09:53

Morning just a quickie before I run out to Rhythm Time.

Got a Mei tai from ebay looks nice can't tie it. JoMa/Ellie/POTC could you post that link again with tying instructions please.

May end up taking it to Norma's tomorrow so she can show me what to do. [blonde emoticom]

Have a fun day ladies and babies!

leakyR · 31/10/2007 09:59

BTW re Scrabulous I'd love a vowel one of these goes!

CaptainDippy · 31/10/2007 10:17

Will check in a sec, Leaky!

Yes, we did have a good night last night - older 2 still up too early for me (6.30am); but P slept til 7am, which was just super! Poor little P, she's got such a horrid cold - took everything I had to keep her awake on the way home from Pre-School as she is so snotty and yukky and tiiiiired - She's all tuckled up in her cot now and hopefully will be for a while - Ditto to DD2. Thinking about tackling the last bit of lawn .......

VamPesha · 31/10/2007 10:37

OMFG D will no longer take bottles

I cant believe whats happening we're going backwards! He's got soooooooooo clingy lately. By this age the other 2 were fione with being left on quite a regular basis, but D just hasn't been he's with me nearly all the time, especially now dp cant drive he cant even take him off to visit his nan for an hour or 2. And he absolutely adores bfing. It's lovely but at the same time its abit worrying, I need my nights out every now and then!

Right off to try and finish catching up while he's feeding and then the cake making begins!

CaptainDippy · 31/10/2007 10:50

Sounds like you need to run. Pesha - Run far, far away!!! Is he perhaps a little poorly atm - P is very clingy too and I think it is because of this stinker of a cold she's got .....

mammyjo · 31/10/2007 10:50

Bore da Phoebe!!

Morning all. F has a cold and a high temp this morning. Calpol out in this house already today! She seems ok in herself though so that is good. Got hv coming at 11am to do F's 7 month check so a quick message before she arrives. Oh the joy.

SOL, at the hv plotting K's growth incorrectly. Have you tried warming her food. I ask because F refuses to eat anything that is cold and will retch on it, but as soon as I warm it up for her its a different story. Just a thought

Runny, cant believe your boss is still dragging your return to work out like this. So unreasonable of him. Does he not have any children? Maybe doesnt understand the actual implications of his delaying with regard to you sorting childcare at the last minute.

Norma, good to see you back Knew you wouldnt be gone for long Good luck with the gp.

Pesha, F is clingy to me too, but has had to get used to being with my mum and dad as I was going back to work. He may well surprise you and cope very well with the separation when the time comes xx

Bugmum, lovely to see you. Good to know you are well. The months just fly by just now dont they!

Oooggs, will email you once the hv has gone xx

Thats it for now, see you all later

CaptainDippy · 31/10/2007 10:56

LOL MJ!! Actually it is my delightful little DD1 who was born in Wales .... maybe she's been teaching the others!!? Hope HV thingy goes ok - Haven't heard anything about P's check yet .... .... NHS, don't know their arse from their elbows!

mammyjo · 31/10/2007 11:04

Am surprised at F getting hers today. Ds didnt get his until he was almost a year old!

mammyjo · 31/10/2007 11:05

And surprise surprise, shes bloody late. Do these people not realise I have things to do. She was half an hour late for F's birth visit too

CaptainDippy · 31/10/2007 11:15

Hope she turns up soon - otherwise I'll have no choice but to go and wake up P so she can type more Welsh to you again!

normabutty · 31/10/2007 11:23

Morning folks. I've only come back on cos someone told me not to worry about what people say or do on MN cos that's what it's about.

Well have seen gp, she was very nice and helpful. She's given me some ADs and I've to go back in 2 weeks to see her. She's also going to contact the HVs so they can pop round a couple of times to see me ...supposedly to help but seeing as how they cancelled their last vist, didn't reschedule it and haven't bothered with the weaning advice visit or contacted me about her next check I'm not holding my breath.

Leaky - will def help with the mei tai fastening when you're round, you don't need to bring it tho if it's a hassle (I have 2!). I found I could only understand it cos I saw Ellie doing it while she was here.

CaptainDippy · 31/10/2007 11:33

Tis good to have you back sweetie! Hope the AD's help. xx Need to go and eat rubbish!
