Morning MJ - That would make me too - Does she have a specific problem with the name you have chosen or is she just an arse!!? My mum can't pronounce DD2's name AT ALL - Sophia - what is so bloomin' difficult about that!!!!? Drives me MAD!!!!

mammyjo · 29/10/2007 10:40

She is just an arse

CaptainDippy · 29/10/2007 10:58

Sigh. Feared as much.

weepotion · 29/10/2007 11:03

CaptainDippy · 29/10/2007 11:08

I'm in awe.

weepotion · 29/10/2007 11:10

dont be - you havent tasted it!!!

Eddas · 29/10/2007 11:23

thanks for all the kinds messages about dd's picture, she has a great face I must put some more of ds on my profile since the only one with him on his own is the girlie wand one He is a boy, honest

Well thank goodness dd is at preschool, I have no patience atm. I am just so down and it's not like me. I'm normally a happy person, well i'd like to think I am

I haven't really done anything this am. I just cna't get motivated. I will be trying this afternoon as ds is seriously needing a kip so should get some time, I think he's fallen asleep on the floor actually. But i'll wake him when we have to get dd as he's no longer in his little car seat Actually think that each time he grows out of something it makes me feel even more down as my baby is growing too quickly and as he's probably the last(still can't say he IS) it's I'd never cope with more, really don't know how you ladies do it.

Anyway gonna have lunch before I get dd then try to be upbeat(so hard) and get her to help I guess getting things done slowly is better than doing nothing[hopefully emoticon]

CaptainDippy · 29/10/2007 11:33

Yes it is, Eddas - slow & steady - don't worry hugely about achieving marvellous things, just break your day into managable chunks and take it as it comes - You are not Super Woman, you are a hard-working mummy who deserves a break once in a while - Hope DS is asleep for you. xx

P woke up after 45 mins sleep - I've just given her lunch, played with her a bit, changed her nappy and I've put her back down in her cot as she was fussing and clearly still tired - Grrrrr! I have lots to do and am cross she is not settling. Grrrrr!

Eddas · 29/10/2007 11:39

You're right cd. I will feel better for getting some stuff ticked off my list. It's just that it's a seriously huge list and I never seem to get anywhere. A bit like trying to climb Everest but i've been waiting at the bottom for a few weeks and just about managed to get a toe on it I think i'm waiting for someone to carry me

Those 'work fairies' never seem to come round and work their magic here

CaptainDippy · 29/10/2007 11:43

Darn those pesky fairies!!

Think she is sleeping now - phew!!

Next door nieghbours revving mopeds though.

Lucewitch · 29/10/2007 12:27

Leaky, your night sounded awful Hope that things pick up soon.

Maveta, I only use Bumgenuis at the moment and do use them overnight. I haven't had any problems or leaking with them. Strange because the dispies always leaked overnight. I love the Bumgenuis nappies, so soft and easy to use (also like that they dry overnight aswell)
Am waiting for some swaddlebees, a fuzzi bunz and a nature babies stuffable to arrive
Why are they so addictive???

Glad that I am not the only one filing my baking in the bin oooggs

Eddas, are you enjoying some mummytime? Hope so.

I need to phone college and ask if I can defer a year too much going on this year but really want to do it . Hope that they understand. Fingers crossed for me.

Lucewitch · 29/10/2007 12:28

PSML at 'pesky fairies'

kneehighinnappies · 29/10/2007 12:44

Hello all, well Things for me at the moment are going from bad to worse, i actually walked out on dh on saturday night, after a week of shouting matches one of which ended in my pulling his hair and biting him
I am not proud of what I did but I am just so lost in what is going on, my mind is all mixed up and i find myself crying all the time.
i have been trying to convince myself that it is just the stress of moving and the houses but it's more than that and I have finally given in and hove booked myslef an appointment witht he Dr for tomorrow.
i am very scared that when i tell the Dr how i fell she will say there is nothing they can do and that I will just have to carry on the way i have been.
I can't do this anymore I am DONE and i don't know what else to do!

gorymacmummy · 29/10/2007 12:50

KHIN, You are such an amazingly strong person coping with 3 little ones, house renovations/moving etc, its no wonder you feel like you are struggling. I feel like that with just 1 sometimes!! I'm sure the doctor will be able to helkp you, just remember to tell him/her everything - write notes if you have to! {{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}

PillockOfTheCommunity · 29/10/2007 13:12

boo
just popping in as at work, and geese meeting tonight so you may get Skott on, bet the new layout confuses him!

OP posts:
mammyjo · 29/10/2007 13:56

Hi pillock! What is a geese meeting? And dont say a meeting for geese!! (unless that is what it is )

KHIN, I am sure your response to your dh was out of sheer frustration. Maybe it will finally open his eyes to how hard things are for you. You have taken the hardest step in admitting to yourself that things cannot carry on as they have been. Good luck with the gp, really hope that they can offer some constructive answers for you xxx

MurderousMaveta · 29/10/2007 14:08

geese meeting??

KHIN - hope you feel a bit better after speaking to the doctor, agree with GMM that you should just tell them everything, I really doubt they would tell you nothing could be done xx

Hi Liath and WO - thanks for the ideas. I've been looking forward to this but now it's upon me it feels like yet another thing I have to make time for (i.e. planning meals). Dh isn't keen on feeding N via BLW so I left him some pumpkin and carrot that he just needs to heat and mash if he wants. No idea what to give the sausage tonight. Siiigh. Why does it seem like a hassle now? Might just get him some yoghurts on the way home so his evening thing at the mo' can just be a little sweet treat.

Leaky - that sounds awful babe, isn't it awful when you can't figure out why they are doing it so you can stop it! I really feel for you. And nothing worse than the dhs saying 'well, THAT was quite a good night, wasn't it?' cue very withering look in their direction...

Eddas - love the outfit! Good luck tackling Everest Chin up and remember to look at your gorgeous babes and think "if I can do THAT, I must be able to do pretty much anything"

Hello Elkie, Pillock, CD, Mammyjo, GMM.. hope I haven't forgotten anyone.. (if I did, sorry!!)

Lucewheel - hahaha nappy addiction has sucked you in, hey? Glad you're enjoying it..

MurderousMaveta · 29/10/2007 14:10

That's a good idea WO re. freezing food.. might take advantage of my days off to sit and plan the week and then shop, cook and freeze. Might seem a bit more manageable then..

mammyjo · 29/10/2007 14:38

Hi maveta Adding in meals is just an extra task in an already full day!! Know where you are coming from!

WO, would be grateful for any tips and recipes you have, please do share! I really struggle at this stage, did with ds too. I am much better when they get bigger and will eat all the family meals that I cook! Should just mulch down those meals, but they are not always baby suitable IYKWIM.

oooggs · 29/10/2007 14:47

there is so much to do... I totally agree with you all

Erin cut her 1st tooth overnight so I think that is why she was so poorly.

Eddas · 29/10/2007 15:05

oh KHIN i feel bad compaining knowing what you and everyone else deals with. I hope you find the doctor helpful, would a {{hug}} be ok?

I got a few(and I mean a few) minutes me time before I had to wake ds to get dd, but he is now asleep again(has been for a good 1.5 hours, but he needed it. In that time I have finished some curtains that have been hanging up all pinned together for a couple of weeks. Quite quick for me as dd's bedroom curtains remained unshortened for a good 9months

I have also changed our bed and done some washing, well sorted it and put it in the machine

I have decided i'm going to do a things i've done today list instead of a HUGE list of things to do, might make me more

i'm going to try to sort one lot of things each evening, well maybe not every evening but some, to try and navigate the 'outgrown/unwanted' bits around. Once that's all cleared I think i'll feel really good about things.

In other news i've got my first preschool comittee meeting on thursday. I shall try not to be too overkeen with ideas We're discussing the quiz night and chiristmas bazar, feel free to give me anyideas on either so that I can impress them

busywithIzzy · 29/10/2007 15:06

Hello everyone

Another one here who really struggles with this stage of weaning. Trying a combination of BLW and purees, managed to get Izzy to try some yoghurt today. She is so sure what she does and doesn't want that is she doesn't like it that's it...no persuasion just a clamped mouth shut!!

Oooggs hope Erin is happier now her tooth has come through and that you have better nights.

Leaky - What an awful night Hope tonight is better.

Eddas - Love your little Power Ranger!

KHIN - Sorry you're having a bad time. Hope the Doctor helps you.

Luce - Fingers crossed conversation with college goes ok and that they are understanding.

Pillock - Also intrigued what a geese meeting is?

Hello to anyone I have missed out xx

Eddas · 29/10/2007 15:08

i meant to say Luce, i'm sure the college will understand. Unless you want me to take the exams for you

busywithIzzy · 29/10/2007 15:08

Thanks for the email IDOC - some of those pictures are hideous.

mammyjo · 29/10/2007 15:20

Hideous is right! Eeeeewwwwwww
