Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
LittleMissNorty · 26/10/2007 20:55

I'm sorting out kitchen stuff and have friends round to dinner tomorrow....super organised though as we're having moussaka and cheesecake...and its all in the fridge ready

House looks like a shithole though so gotta be CLEAN by tomorrow lunchtime!

Hope you're having a relaxing weekend Fury! You deserve it!

Bloody hell...fireworks going off round here and dog is going scatty

foxystein · 26/10/2007 21:02

I second what LMN said Fury! Too much running around last weekend, too much going to work too. Do some relaxing this weekend, you!

foxystein · 26/10/2007 21:03

Yes, LMN a George Forman grill is great. Will you have a freezer in the meantime? A grill and a steamer is pretty much all you need (you can have mine if you like, both are rarely used!)

HellHathNoFury · 26/10/2007 21:21

tomorrow I am going to pick up the new car and do the ironing; sunday I have to do post-editing on the wedding pics I took last week.
DH is going to fit an alarm and security system to the house after we were broken into last weekend.

So not busy busy but not relaxing either... but things that have to be done!

Clarabumps · 26/10/2007 21:22

evening all- i copped out of cooking tonight..got a prawn thingy from marks..although i've just got rid of my neighbour. He had a fight with his wife and don't like the idea he's just came round and poured out all his woes on the single female next door!!eek!how do i get into these scenarios???

Clarabumps · 26/10/2007 21:23

are you a photographer fury? is that what the picture comment are about a couple of days ago?

HellHathNoFury · 26/10/2007 21:26

lol clarabumps, now you just need to attract the good like diet coke break single variety

I'm not a photographer... I work in IT but I take photos sometimes!
I'm nothing special but I got lucky with a few pics. I did a wedding for a friend.

HellHathNoFury · 26/10/2007 21:27

I am off to bed. Night all!

HellHathNoFury · 27/10/2007 06:32

erm... did I miss a new thread or something?
Where did everyone go?

HellHathNoFury · 27/10/2007 07:38
milkyJammy · 27/10/2007 07:54

Hi Fury, I was out last night, but DD still had me up at 2.20am and again at 6.20. Am now worn out!

LittleMissNorty · 27/10/2007 07:54

Morning Fury....haven't got much time as house cleaning awaits (oh JOY ) but didn't want you to think you are the ONLY person on this thread....Daisy must be back soon......

It's SO quiet on here....everyone must have a RL.....perhaps I ought to rediscover mine

LittleMissNorty · 27/10/2007 07:55

Morning MJ....hope you have a lazy day in front of you....Is DD asleep now? Perhaps you should go back for a while?

LittleMissNorty · 27/10/2007 08:09

Have a look at this

milkyJammy · 27/10/2007 08:25

Hopefully lazt day LMN, watching DH do some DIY. LO feeding again at the moment, then should have a nice nap on my lap, so at least I can sit quietly watching tv/MN-ing. I was 2 hours later to bed than normal, and it's a good job my work friends don't tend to drink heavily, plus we were in jongleurs where the bar queues were enormous and you can't keep going to the bar anyway because you're listening to the comedy. I only had one pint, which I sipped over 2 hours, then had a coke. By the time I got home it was 2 hours since I'd finished my pint but I felt quite drunk, but couldn't really have been, think it was just being very tired.

And eek to that link

LittleMissNorty · 27/10/2007 08:38

Well take it easy MJ....sounds like it is tiredness! I hardly drink anything these days...I'm scared I wouldn't wake up for DD...

Right, off to clean my dump of a house

Clarabumps · 27/10/2007 09:38

hello all-
i think i might have hit a turning point.i never gave ds his dummy all yesterday. he was a bit grouchy going down for naps but he was fine and at bedtime after his wee rountine i just put him in his cot and left him to moan for a bit. I went into the kitchen and waited for ten mins then came back by this time he was all out crying so i went back to the kitchen and waited for five minutes and when i came back-silence. He'd fell asleep. He woke up once in the middle of the night too and i did the same thing(he fell asleep after 5 mins) it was horrific letting him cry but he slept the whole night. from 8-8!!i'm amazed. Not saying its for everyone but it worked for me and i have just completed my 7th lap of victory around the living room.phew- puffed out!!

Clarabumps · 27/10/2007 09:43

just read that thing about claire verity. her and jagger????never in a month of sundays!!on the back of the previous crying comment i made- just want to point out i didn't mean like what she did. That was just plain cruel!!

i agree- i was just making the mistake of picking ds up when he was grizzling. then getting all anxious and not leaving the poor boy just to sleep. it was more me than him i think.
As for Claire verity she was just out of control-those twin babies looked sooo tiny as well.wee shame

OOoh, Disneyland? When are you leaving MHC? Lucky you (and your lucky family!).

Well done Clarabumps! Sounds like a result. Its all a learning process isn't it? I think when you are confident enough to leave them to cry its a good thing. Once we are able to distinguish the different cries, life gets easier!

Glad you had a good night Milky. I favour a comedy club for a night out (especially now they are smoke free!). Our Jongleurs does table service so no going to the bar! It also offers an after show disco, which I have as yet avoided. Last time we went I was heavily pregnant and we got picked on the whole show.

Just saw the Ramsey family on my way back from swimming.

foxystein · 27/10/2007 12:54

And complete at that Times article Channel 4 have been completely irresponsible and should take full responsibility. That programme could have done some real damage.

bumperlicious · 27/10/2007 13:29

who are the ramsey family foxy?

justbeme · 27/10/2007 13:49

Have a lovley hol MHC - I take it your off to Paris?

L has been grizzly all day so far and is now on her 2nd nap since getting up at 9:30. (thats after 14 hrs sleep as well!!) - but I think she's teething.

Not doing much today - got a brickie in demolishing a wall in my garage (lots of dust) - to make my utility room bigger - its going to be ginormous!!! So no more chinese laundry in my study!!

Had L weighed for the 1st time since she was 7 weeks yesterday (bad mummy!) - she's 12lb 14.5oz (15 weeks). I think she "looks" slimmer than she was - do you think thats 'cos she's sleeping so long and not feeding in the night?
