hello, we're over here

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
justbeme · 26/10/2007 12:26

I seem to be on more money than when I was working!! I only worked 15hrs pw - so with maternity pay from work plus SMP = more!! (not for long though!)Has any one else had this?

Welcome back Annobal - Our LO's were born on the same day werent they? (10/7)_ - so far touch wood, she has been sleeping thru for the last week - so I hope she doesnt revert back!!! (Its supposed to be to do with their 4mth growth spurt apparently - but we prob didnt have that prob before as DD1 was weaned at 15-16 weeks as per guidelines then).

Hi Tallulah from sunny australia!!

milkyJammy · 26/10/2007 12:30

Well it looks like they've overpaid me by 1500 and underpaid me by 500 but it's so confusing I can't be sure!

bumperlicious · 26/10/2007 12:42

My work subsume the SMP and top me up to my full pay, so not on more but still doing pretty well by being on full pay. I've been ruthless at putting an amount aside each month since starting mat leave to tide me over whn I stop getting paid from work and just get smp.

I think elsbells was saying something similar before, but it'll be confusing when I go back as hope to go back PT, but have tacked a load of holiday onto the end of my mat leave so they'll have to start my pay back up again then change it when I've chosen my hours. I've written to HR and explained all this but can't see it being simple!

justbeme · 26/10/2007 12:56

I was thinking as well, that I'd better check out if I can book some hols in the school summer hols next year before I go back - otherwise, when I go back in maybe May time, all the school hols will have been booked out by everyone else! (gosh does that make sense? I feel like im rambling!!)

justbeme · 26/10/2007 12:57

btw - when i refresh my screen it takes me back to the 1st posts on this thread - what do i have to do to stop that??

bumperlicious · 26/10/2007 13:03

In the top right hand corner there should be an option to Flip the thread.

milkyJammy · 26/10/2007 13:05

Or in customise talk options select display new messages first option

milkyJammy · 26/10/2007 13:06

I made a bit of a freudian slip at the library this morning, i asked when the postponed lesson on "eating your baby" had been rescheduled for - was meant to be "eating with your baby". Ooops!

annobal · 26/10/2007 13:21

LOL Milky .

JBM - yes, born on 10th July. I think the problem was that he was ill after his 1st imms and hasn't really slept through since then. Great that your LO is though!

We're going out this afternoon for supper at a friend's place - yay I don't have to wrestle with food tonight!

HellHathNoFury · 26/10/2007 14:06

I feel sick. Ate too much raw fish.

justbeme · 26/10/2007 16:51

Raw fish?? Oh Sushi friday again was it??

milkyJammy · 26/10/2007 17:02

I've got an hour to get my tea and get ready to go out, but I have a grumpy baby to entertain too

justbeme · 26/10/2007 17:05

So what are you doing on MN Jammy?? Get off and get ready !!

milkyJammy · 26/10/2007 17:19

now waiting for pasta to cook for my tea. then will get ready. pacifying an overtired and grumpy baby as best i can in the meantime. dh should be home at 6, then i feed dd and rush out leaving him to settle her to bed.

justbeme · 26/10/2007 17:26

so where are you off to?
Im waiting for a friend to turn up for dinner - traffic is bad.

foxystein · 26/10/2007 19:05

foxystein · 26/10/2007 19:56

HellHathNoFury · 26/10/2007 19:57

I am!

foxystein · 26/10/2007 19:58

oooh, Hello Fury! How are you tonight?

HellHathNoFury · 26/10/2007 20:13

good foxy, you?
It's my anniversary so won't be on long.

My Dad got sacked today though, he is very upset

foxystein · 26/10/2007 20:17

Thats crap Fury, you are having a shitty time of it, huh?

Well, you shouldn't be on here at all, should you?? isn't it meant to be a romantic dinner and a bit of jiggy-jiggy. Thankfully I am saved from all of that stuff!

Have a lovely evening Fury. You are obviously so in love with your DH, go and have a nice time with him

Sputnik · 26/10/2007 20:18

Fury

HellHathNoFury · 26/10/2007 20:31

My week hasn't been that bad - my Sis and Dad have had is worse!
Feel really bad for Dad. He was set up. Feel awful for him, he was sacked on grounds of racial discrimination - impossible!!! They said Dad spat in their tea!! Poor Dad, I have never heard such utter bollocks in my life.

Dad lacks social skills for sure... but he doesn't 'do' spitting in tea!!

But yes Foxy, Dh is a top bloke, as soon as DS quits grizzling and goes to bed so will we!!

LittleMissNorty · 26/10/2007 20:40

Oh TA what a crap time you are having...

Have a lovely anniversary...how long have you been married?

Right, kitchen is being delivered on 9th November and will take 2 weeks to fit....has anyone got any ideas?

HellHathNoFury · 26/10/2007 20:52

LMN I think those ideas sound great!

I cooked fajitas tonight and I don't know what I did, but it was wrong. it all tasted stewed. Oh well!
