BadZelda · 02/11/2007 15:35

Great news holly!

I'm with sputnik actually (great name change btw)....december the 20th will be quite soon enough for me.

Though the doll's house did arrive this morning!

DingDongDaisilyOnHigh · 02/11/2007 15:36

LOL at the Christmas names.....especially yours sputnik.

I have officially graduated to full lentil weaver status......HERE, but bear in mind their is a TMI warning attachd

DingDongDaisilyOnHigh · 02/11/2007 15:37

oh, and just been to Caffe Nero for coffee. They do gluten free chocolate brownies

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 02/11/2007 15:43

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

Daisy!!!

Girls, I think we've lost her to the lentil weavers!

You will be using your mooncup contents to feed your plants next (people do it, I read it on a website)!

BLEUGH!

Sputnik · 02/11/2007 15:45

I have put my xmas name away again, before all the glitter falls off

Sputnik · 02/11/2007 15:49

Ooooo... mooncup insertion live on Mumsnet!
congratulations to your DD btw Holly

BadZelda · 02/11/2007 15:51

Actually I think I'll be trying one of those when my periods ever come back...in fact way before I'd ever heard of them I always thought it would a great idea to somehow catch it in something instead of soaking it all up. Maybe had better continue this line of thought on Daisy's thread

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 02/11/2007 15:51

Thanks! She is a good girl!

I gave her a piece of chocolate as a special treat for weeing on the potty. Now she is sat on it again, I think she wants some more! That's my girl!

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 02/11/2007 16:06

I was thinking of getting a mooncup when I got pregnant. Won't get one until i need one again, and even then DH not keen Someone said it was none of his business, but I don't think it's worth a huge argument over IYKWIM

DingDongDaisilyOnHigh · 02/11/2007 16:11

LOL holly....there are limits you know!

DingDongDaisilyOnHigh · 02/11/2007 16:12

jammy....how would he know?

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 02/11/2007 16:19

There will be no mooncups here, I'm afraid the idea makes me feel squiffy

Has Fury been 'sighted' in the last few days? I've been wanting to take up photography, as a semi-serious hobby, for a while now and wanted Fury's and Jammy's (and any other keen photographers') advice on how much I'd need to spend to get a decent camera?

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 02/11/2007 16:29

Fairy, dependswhat you want to do with it. You can get very nice digital compacts that give high quality results (unless you want to print very large you don't need a huge no og megapixels). But if you want to be able to take more control over exposure settings etc and have interchangeable lens you'll need to move up to an SLR type.

DingDongDaisilyOnHigh · 02/11/2007 16:31

shite....did quite a legthy pot there and DD pressed a button and it disappeared.

she loves the keyboard!

fg vfdbn iun eeeeeyhnij98jc4r9

just like that

she managed to open yahoo messenger there as well...even I can't do that!

DingDongDaisilyOnHigh · 02/11/2007 16:35

dh recently bought a fuji s6500 which is like a mini slr....but you can't change the lenses. It's his first foray into digital (he is a red blooded medium format film camera man usually) and he is really impressed with it. I think he's trying to justify an SLR. I hope he gets one cos then I'll get the fuji!

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 02/11/2007 16:36

Oh Daisy...very brave....hows it going? In principle seems OK but not sure I could actually get it out and deal with it.....

I've just been given an advent calendar for DD.....I'll have to eat all the chocolate though

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 02/11/2007 17:02

I come in and everyone disappears.....is it something I said?

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 02/11/2007 17:07

Fury - you might want to add your opinions here

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 02/11/2007 17:56

thanks for the camera tips, I think I'll go and have a look in Jessops. although with 2 DCs who hate shopping, it will have to be a very quick look. Am hoping to buy somethin in Jan sales
