hello, we're over here

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
annobal · 30/10/2007 19:25

OMG - it is not yet 7.30 and DS1&2 have been in bed for an hour and DS3 has just gone down, DH isn't back from work yet and the house is sooooo quiet.

Wow, me time.

Bugger, have just spotted a load of wet shirts that need to be hung up...

BadZelda · 30/10/2007 19:26

Up and down; today was a reasonably good day, although it did feel a bit like going through the motions as we hit the second playground of the day. Still, can't do any harm to wear out the little horror sweetheart while the weather's nice - would have felt guilty staying in. DD2 continues to be a smiley little angel of course (she's now chewing one of her shoes avidly). Good news I've now got wednesdays 'off' to write - so I feel less frustrated. DH even took DD2 as well last week - so I had nearly 2 hours entirely child free. Felt quite odd, so know where you're coming from Bumper.

Noticed you've been doing a few round-ups. Matilda is 20 weeks today (where did that go???), can roll over back-to-front and nearly the other way, weighs about 16/17lb and sleeps 'like a baby'. Her favourite hobbies include grabbing and chewing anything in sight and watching her sister.
Excuse the loong post! Have missed nattering to you lot.

BadZelda · 30/10/2007 19:27

Leave the shirts Annobal!

Sputnik · 30/10/2007 19:31

Nice to have you back BadZ, how's things?

annobal · 30/10/2007 19:34

Shirts still there

How's the writing going BZ?

Evening Sputnik.

justbeme · 30/10/2007 19:34

Hi BZ - I bet you get sucked back in really quick!!

milkyJammy · 30/10/2007 20:00

Evening all, especially BZ. I was just wondering where you were earlier.

DD very sleepy this afternoon. Had to almost wake her up to go to bed.

fairyfay · 30/10/2007 20:09

Hi BZ, welcome back. I was thinking about you and the others that we haven't seen in a while earlier as well and hoping you weren't all gone for good. It's nice to have the thread being a bit chattier again, there were far too many tumbleweeds last week.

Andiem - have you gone? Was wondering if you fancied coffee in Kingston on Friday (obviously anyone else is also very welcome but a bit far for most )

IamDaisy · 30/10/2007 20:23

Hi BZ and welcome back

I'm of all these rolling babies. DD can get her hips over, but still gets her arm wedged under her. She tries to grab the changing mat to pull herself, but can't quite make it.

she did manage to flip herself off my knee last night. I was changing her nappy and she started to roll. I graddes her arm, and she flipped right over, landing feet first on the floor, with her face wedged into he sofa. It was like her arm rotated completely in it's socket, but that's not possible, is it?

IamDaisy · 30/10/2007 20:24

graddes........wtf, I meant grabbed

annobal · 30/10/2007 20:26

Poor babyboo Daisy. I'm sure she's ok - she'd be telling you if she wasn't. Bugger, C has just woken up...

IamDaisy · 30/10/2007 20:28

she was completely unfazed by it in fact she thought it was the best game ever judging by her grins and giggles.

IamDaisy · 30/10/2007 20:29

there shoul've been a full stop in there somewhere. My brain isn't working tonight!

Sputnik · 30/10/2007 20:31

Daisy, as you can see this thread fell to pieces last week without you.
And Ria ought to be back by now.

Have just posted new pics of Baby Sputnik on fB

IamDaisy · 30/10/2007 20:33

oohhhh am off to look.

I'm such a gobby shite Sputnik, that's why

milkyJammy · 30/10/2007 20:33

DD rolled over a couple of times ages ago, but has shown no sign of doing so since She can spin herself round, though so slowly that I'm not sure you'd call it spinning when lying on the floor. Not sure it it's intentional or not though. Suspect not.

milkyJammy · 30/10/2007 20:36

I cleaned the bathroom this morning, with DD watching. She seemed bemused by the sight of my arse as I bent over to clean the bath, and when I decided I needed a wee after cleaning the loo (so that's why it never stays clean!), she just giggled and giggled at the sight of mummy pulling down her trousers and sitting on the lav!

IamDaisy · 30/10/2007 20:38

DD does that Jammy. She rolls half over, then when she rolls back she's moved slightly. She can get round full circle pretty speedily if she sets her mind to it.

My sisters DS1 didn't crawl....he rolled everywhere, very quickly and effectively. It was as though he thought why bother crawling when this technique gets me where I need to be. Maybe our DDs are working on that same principle?

Sputnik · 30/10/2007 20:41

Baby Sputnik doesn't show the slightest inclination to turn over. He can sit up on the bed for a minute or 2 though, by virtue of balancing on his rolls of blubber I think. Doesn't look too comfortable though, he leans forward and dribbles a lot.

Forgot to add in my round up he's 19.5 weeks

IamDaisy · 30/10/2007 20:43

Sputnik....gorgeous pics . Your DD is very pretty, and DS is just sooooo cute. i love babies at this age, they are so lovely and laughy and chatty and interested in everything.

I like DDs top. We are drowning in a sea of pink here.

annobal · 30/10/2007 20:49

DS will roll from his front to his back (he hates being on his front) and from his back to his side.

DS1&2 didn't crawl either - DS1 bum shuffled and DS2 commando crawled. I suspect DS2 didn't have the strength to pick his huge tummy off the floor

fairyfay · 30/10/2007 20:54

DS rolls onto his tummy, gets his arm stuck under him, grunts for a few secs and then screams the house down until I come and 'rescue' him, and then immediately does the same thing again, 'tis driving me potty

annobal · 30/10/2007 20:58

Sputnik, I LOVE your photos - DD is so pretty and DS is soo cute. We have that play gym too.

Daisy, your photos are fab too - looks like you had such a nice holiday. Babyboo is gorgeous and MRR is a real cutie.

Sputnik · 30/10/2007 21:03
