hello, we're over here

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
IamDaisy · 29/10/2007 08:59

Hey holly

yup....it was fab, but stressful at times (especially travelling; DD didn't stop screaming for three hours in the car on Saturday morning)

right, am off!

dogtanian · 29/10/2007 09:00

Hey LMN, hope you are ok.

Yes, we are still doing secret santa. What I was thinking was I could go on another PN thread (maybe april) and offer to do their secret santa if one of them does ours. That way it stays more secret!

LittleMissNorty · 29/10/2007 09:05

Oh good - sounds like a plan....just me being super-organised wants to have Xmas sorted before I go back to work on 4th December!

We're fine....I got cold after DD so the Karvol got moved from her room to ours and DH moaned about the smell ....oh well

How was your weekend Holly....haven't seen you on here.....not been chasing a pissed DP up the road again?

Sputnik · 29/10/2007 10:16

Right, I'd just caught up yesterdayand evereyoone went too bed.
Welcome back Daisy and Andiem, and nice to see you Trace, sorry they still don't know what's up with Chloe.

Anyway, here's my baby update:
Theo weight: 9ish kgs (20lbs ish),
length: not sure,
hobbies: blowing raspberries, saying agoo, working out at the (play) gym, puking down his mummy's cleavage, big-sister watching, seeing how far up the back of his vest he can poo.
Very little hair, no teeth but lots of dribble.
Sleeping: back to 3-hourly wake-ups

Had a very quiet weekend as DD has been outsourced to in-laws since saturday night and won't be back til tonight. Have missed her but just had a lovely long lie in this morning.

LittleMissNorty · 29/10/2007 10:25

LOL Sputnik at the puking down your cleavage ....how old is he now?

I was holding DD up in the air yesterday and she puked in my hair and ear......luvverlly

andiem · 29/10/2007 10:36

I'm not helping unless I can do so and so neither am I la la la' in the end I just said I'll do whatever I'm not prepared to argue it is pathetic well that got me some looks but frankly I don't give a f*ck aagh why why are they like this are their brains addled

rant over in with anger out with love

hope evryone has a better morning off to do chores

bumperlicious · 29/10/2007 10:41

What? these are the parents? how old are they? are they yummy mummies? I say in with love, out with anger, you don't want to be repressing all that negative emotion!

andiem · 29/10/2007 10:56

bumper you hit the nail on the head yumms with not enough to occupy themselves

bumperlicious · 29/10/2007 11:28

Let me guess, they want to do the cool front of house jobs like running the cake stall, manning the microphone etc. they don't want to do the mundane stuff like clearing up or behind the scene jobs because people won't 'see' their contribution!

IamDaisy · 29/10/2007 11:42

bumper, you still about?

bumperlicious · 29/10/2007 11:43

yep! hi. dd doing her usual (of late) sleeping/feeding.

IamDaisy · 29/10/2007 11:43

obv not.....gotta go out, back later!

bumperlicious · 29/10/2007 11:46

give me a chance woman!

IamDaisy · 29/10/2007 11:47

x post!

just saw your post on cubby's thread and wanted to send you some {{{{{hugs}}}}} is all and say it will get better It's partly the depression I think as I feel the same way a lot of the time. I'll send you an e-mail later, but am going into town to treat myself to some new earrings. A bit random, I know, but I keep losing the damn things and my ears are in danger of closing up as I refuse to wear odd earrings.

Catch you later!

IamDaisy · 29/10/2007 11:47
Grin
bumperlicious · 29/10/2007 11:48

thanks . you really want to be wearing earrings with dd getting the age she is??!

IamDaisy · 29/10/2007 11:54

good point, but I was going to get some of those studs with the safety backs that they use when you get your ears pierced.

that way when she grabs them she can really do some damage Xmas Wink

DH champing at the bit.....later

milkyJammy · 29/10/2007 12:08

Anyone about?

Back from our group. Poor DD was sitting propped up against my legs but I let my leg relax at the wrong time and she fell backwards and bumped her head on the floor Oh the tears! A few minutes cuddling sorted her out thankfully but I felt awful .

IwansMam · 29/10/2007 12:08

Hello all.

Daisy, sorry to hear about your mum and hope she's out of the hospice soon.

Bumper, DS's latest trick is to fall asleep in pram then wake up so I feed him at which point he falls asleep on me (like now). At 18 weeks his night sleep has also started to be all over the place.

IwansMam · 29/10/2007 12:11

MJ, big hugs. Cuddles tend to sort things out, its just us who feel bad 5 mins later.

milkyJammy · 29/10/2007 12:13

Hi IwansMam, I know what you mean. She seemed OK afterwards and the other mums all said she'd be fine and it was just one of those things, but you can't help but worry and feel bad

IwansMam · 29/10/2007 12:27

I accidentally (what else would it be?) dropped DSs head about an inch when putting him on the floor the other day and felt absolutely rotten. Don't think he would have noticed except for my distress.

IwansMam · 29/10/2007 12:30

Does anyone else hate cold callers (about 3 per day) who (it gets worse) hang up on you when you explain that you are a partner not a wife?!? I don't even have the opportunity to say 'don't call back'

IwansMam · 29/10/2007 12:31

Just found the telephone preference service. Feel much better now.

milkyJammy · 29/10/2007 12:40

I was going to suggest the TPS then saw you'd fpund it - it reaaly helps. we went from about 5 calls a day to 3 a year. Also registered with the mail preference service to cut down on junk mail
