Leaky - brilliant news about Eva and really lovely pics

Well D is still coughing away and generlly very clingy and miserable although slightly better today I think (touch wood!!). has been in my bed feeding probably eery hour if not more through the night, I try not to wake up too much but it feels almost constant and my back is knackered from sleeping in same position with arm up and him in armpit all night. Also his 2nd tooth broke through ages ago but then stayed like that until last week and turns out its actually 2 right next to each other coming up together - no wonder he'd been sleeping worse lately eveb before getting cough. Really really hoping we can get back to how he was before all this and he hasn't got too used to being in with mummy and comfort sucking all night

The dog is home, has to go back on friday for blood tests to check his liver levels have returned to normal, but seems much much better now Has cost me £263 so far though and thats not including next fridays appointment and tests Have already booked hall and given out invites for dd's birthday party but wont have any entertainment now (was gonna be disco) but will just take a cd player and play party games and I'm sure my family will help out with food. This has all made a very big dent in my christmas and birthday money though Luckily we have been invited out on christmas day with all dp's family for lunch, I was still going to cook a roast on boxing day and do all the xmas food thing cos i love doing it and noone elses is ever quite the same plus you dont get the left overs! But think we will have to just try and spend alot of the xmas week sponging off visiting family members! Sorry to go on but I'm so pissed off, I thought I had it all just about covered and then this happens

Have applied for a 2nd job today though as courier - would be ideal as is completely flexible hours so could fit around dc, bfing and school job. Said may have to wait up to 4 weeks before I even hear if I've got an interview though so prob not gonna make a big difference to xmas but you never know and we could still use the extra money anyway.

Have just finished my 2nd grass roots assignment - did I mention my assignment last week was to visit a certain local night spot and buy a drink and meal and stay till at least 11pm!! Didnt make any money but it was a free night out (cost of food and drink was covered) which was fab!

Oh CD - have you thought of running a music with mummy group? Or is it not your sort of thing? They give you training and backing but unlike most of these things where it costs £1000s to start its only about £150 for training and equipment and then a monthly license fee but I think you can do quite well out of it. I'd love to do it but think now is not the right time for me, I think I need to get myself back into doing regular work again before I start trying to set up my own ventures although I'm very tempted! I think maybe next year for me.

Sorry this is so self obsessed and self pitying, again , I'll try and stop now!

Oh potc - what were you up to posting drunk all night And what was with the text message about fancying Gary Barlow??

VamPesha · 20/10/2007 18:05

Ooops I didnt mean to moan that much!!

VamPesha · 20/10/2007 18:07

When does Ange get back? Seems like she's been gone aaaaages

CaptainDippy · 20/10/2007 18:39

Pants to vets bills eating such a huge hole in your budget, Pesha hon. xx Hopefully your poor doggy will get much betterer now though! Hope so. Did you go to meal on your own btw?? Think Ange is back this weekend sometime!!?

DC's nearly all in bed Yippee!

Mum coing tomorrow so need to send DH food shopping!

oooggs · 20/10/2007 18:57

2 ot of 3 asleep!!!! and I am soon going to be getting ready to go out why is it always Jack who doesn't want to go to bed?

oooggs · 20/10/2007 19:13

hurrah all asleep bottle of bud finished!! Just to put some glad rags on

VamPesha · 20/10/2007 19:30

Thanks dippy I do hope he gets all better now, is nice having him back in the house, it was very strange him not being here!

And no didnt go on my own, assignment said you had to take someone with you or it would look suspicious so dp came. But they paid £30 so enough for us both to have something to eat and a drink. My friend had D at her house and he cried/whinged for alot of the time but not bad enough for her to think i needed telling!! Think hes becoming a mummy's and daddy's boy so need to start leaving him with people for an hour or so so he gets used to it, the other 2 were neer like this and i really dont want a baby that cant be left. Much as i love him i need a break every now and then!!

VamPesha · 20/10/2007 19:32

Very of sleeping babies, my boys are still very much awake. DD is with her dad but pretty safe bet she's still awake too!!

Hope you have a great night oooggs!

oooggs · 20/10/2007 19:36

suited & booted just waiting for the taxi (with 3 others in) to turn up, due 7.50pm so a while yet.

thanks pesha - glad you had a good time - do they email you about assignments or do you need to check the website??????

VamPesha · 20/10/2007 19:53

They email me to let me know theres new assignments but worth checking website every now and then as they can go pretty quick. The one I did today had gone within about 5 mins of being posted, before i even got the email, but whoever was supposed to do it couldn't so they phoned me a couple of days ago to ask if I could.

elkiedee · 20/10/2007 19:58

Hope that oooggs has a great evening.

dp is still trying to settle D down. Before and on holiday he was in a really good routine but that hasn't happened since we got back, first time zones and now I think the problem is that he's got a bit of a cold and he keeps waking up.

CaptainDippy · 20/10/2007 20:20

DD2 finally settled - Phew! Arse - my mum is coming tomorrow and I really need to clean the bathroom, sort out spare room and fold a load of washing and I am sooooooooooo tired.

Oooooh, oooggs - a night out!!!!!! Hope you have a wonderful time, you deserve it!

Glad doggy is home Pesha! Very sensible btw (re: needing a break atc) If you lived closer, I'd be v.happy to take D for an hour or two for you!

VamPesha · 20/10/2007 20:27

Awww thanks dippy - I can stick him in a taxi if you want!

CaptainDippy · 20/10/2007 20:30

My dad's a taxi driver - I am sure he would be delighted to drive a screaming, fractious baby the 5 hours it would take ......

AuntieMeemz · 20/10/2007 20:32

Eveing all. We are all back from dinner out, me, dh and R and A. It was lovely, but R did a pooper of truly histrionic proportions, and I discovered, wait for it...I had no nappies EEEK! what a mess.

We finished dinner with a huge choc sundae, which we shared with ds. It was lovely.

elkiedee · 20/10/2007 20:44

Glad your meal and chocolate sundae were nice, auntie. But yuk at forgetting the nappies.

CaptainDippy · 20/10/2007 20:44

Putting those 2 things in the same post was a bit of a faux pas, AM, don't you think!!!?

VamPesha · 20/10/2007 20:50

Anyone using hipp might be interested in this thread for half price follow on milk!!

AuntieMeemz · 20/10/2007 20:51

Arr yes, CD, now you come to mention it...not a happy combination!

How are you?

VamPesha · 20/10/2007 23:06

Where is everyone tonight???

Have you all gone and got lives?!

Off to bed now anyway as the boys actually asleep in his moses basket so gotta make the most of being able to sleep in a comfortable position before he wakes up!!

Oh and I am I the only person whos baby is still in their moses basket? He's so dinky he still fits and to put him in the cot means a big sort out of ds1's room and would also mean getting out of bed for any night feeds and I'm much too lazy for that!

Oh bugger he's growling I so cant wait for him to get over this cough!

Night all X

elkiedee · 20/10/2007 23:36

We've put up the cot in our room, we only moved D recently after we came back from holiday. I did really like having him in his moses basket though.

Night Pesha.

SharpMolarBear · 21/10/2007 08:34

Morning everyone
Pesha, hope your dog continues to get better
CD, what time does your mum arrive? Hope you got all done.
Auntie, I was laughing at the nappies/poo story too!
Well DH had a little friend over to watch the rugby last night and their noise meant T woke up evert half hour from 8.30, when he went to bed until after midnight

SharpMolarBear · 21/10/2007 08:35

ooh but my ebay stuff arrived!! T loves his play nest thing, and so do I as it means he can't get too far away from his toys

CaptainDippy · 21/10/2007 10:49

Morning - I am exhausted - had a terrible night - DD2 screamed and screamed and screamed at bedtime last night - FOR TWO HOURS!!!! Sooooooo unlike her She settled about 9ish and then woke up screaming again at about half 10 - slept in our bed til about 3.30am and then went back to her cot, only to get up at 6.30am - yuk yuk yuk ...... DH has gone to church with DD1 while I'm home with younger two while they sleep. We've got a Christening this pm, so don't want them to be to tired, iykwim!!? Sigh.

Goodness me.

Brain has emptied - what are people's plans today??

Need to call friend and make sure I am absolutely sure of where this Christening is ......

mammyjo · 21/10/2007 11:15

Hi all. Thanks for all your messages re dh on Friday. After that we had a good chat and I explained exactly how I was feeling. I was honestly starting to feel like he didnt love me any more as he was always out. Anyway, we sorted stuff out and things are fine now!!

It was his birthday yesterday and he had a good day with me and the dc's. My mum came to babysit and we went for a meal then to the pictures. Was nice just to have a few hours of child free time. When I look back, we had a rough time of it when ds was around the age F is now, so maybe its just that. On the plus side, F went to bed by 6.30pm last night and didnt get up til 7am this morning!! First time she has ever done that!! Hoping it isnt just a one off

Leaky, I am so pleased that Eva is home. Photo is so cute of her! She obviously a very strong willed little girl

I had a look at that nipple thread, makes mine seem quite small actually

SMB, congrats on passing your assignment, fab news! Glad your ebay stuff arrived safely too.

Oooggs, hope you had a fab night out, with plenty of food and alcohol

CD, sorry to hear you had a crap night. Hope the two younger ones stay asleep for a while.

Pesha, glad to hear your dog is ok, shame it is going to cost so much money

Well, ds has a party later today (joy) then we are going over to MIL for roast dinner - YUM! She is a pita, but does a fab sunday dinner!!
