Glad things are betterer and you had a lovely time out together. Think DD3 is awake ..... arse .....

VamPesha · 21/10/2007 12:10

Well my dp is a bloody stupid drunken arse! he went to his home town last night as some of his football mates invited him round to watch the rugby. He'd said there might be someone else from our town going too so he'd try and share a taxi home with him otherwise he'd just stay the night and I'd get him in the morning as we cant really afford a taxi. So at 2.50am he phones me (Dylan had only been asleep about half hour since waking at 1) and asks me to go and get him cos he's started walking home but its cold and dark and he wants to see me! So I have to get both boys up and in the car and go and get the drunken arse. Its 14 miles away thats like a 5 hour walk, probably longer drunk!! He said, sounding quite pleased with himself, that he had thought it all through before leaving and thought about all the key places he drives through and didnt think it would take that long and he just really wanted to come home and see me, he missed me and he wanted me! I told him he was a twat! Got home at 4 and I told him he couldnt sleep with me anyway as I'm sleeping with D and cant have him in the bed when he's been drinking so he camped out on N's floor with N who was really excited by the whole thing and talked non stop in the car!! But D woke up and didnt go back to sleep till half 5 and nor did I. He pretty much woke up every hour last night - I'm knackered. Although i did make dp bring him down for an hour or so this morning so i could have a bit of a lie in. So he's now snoring away on the sofa.

Bloody men, he doesn't even like rugby!!

CaptainDippy · 21/10/2007 12:18

{{{{{{{{Pesha}}}}}}}}]

Right, need to galvanise troops, have to be at Christneing in under an hour!!

Eeeeeek!

nappynuttynormabutty · 21/10/2007 14:44

Glad things are a bit better for you MJ.

at your dp Pesha.

Enjoy the Christening CD.

Dh is out with Erin getting a new hose for the tumble dryer and doing a couple of other bits while he's out. I am wasting time on here cos my brain cannot take in all the info I'm trying to read...and I also can't figure out which bit I'm meant to be reading .

SharpMolarBear · 21/10/2007 14:58

hi everyone

nappynuttynormabutty · 21/10/2007 14:59

hello smb!

SharpMolarBear · 21/10/2007 17:15

OMG
for the first time since giving birth I am on my own in the house! DH has taken T to the shop

nappynuttynormabutty · 21/10/2007 17:44

smb!!!

I am p'd off with dh. I seem to be constantly picking up after him, tidying the same things over and over again. I feel like I have to make sure everything gets sorted - I've had to remind him to book time off work, I have to sort out all the money stuff, if I ask him to do something I have to remind him and check he's done it loads of times. I ask for little bits of help with computer stuff and he talks to me like I'm bloody stupid about it.

Sorry I needed to rant.

Sexonlegs · 21/10/2007 17:47

Hiya loves

Quiet on here this weekend!

Mammyjo, really pleased you and dh have patched things up. Let's hope it lasts and he starts to treat you like a princess. Fab that F went through for so long as well - special birthday gift to Daddy??

Pesha, my God, your dp needs a rocket up his ar**! I can't believe you got the boys up to go and pick him up?! Hope he makes it up to you.

Nutty and SMB, hope you enjoyed your baby-free time.

Well, England lost . Such a shame - the poor lambs played their hearts out.

Had a good day today. Went to see an old School friend who moved to Bournemouth a few months ago. He and her dh have 2 kids and I have to say they are a bloody handful! Makes B seem easy and that is saying something!!

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. xx

mammyjo · 21/10/2007 18:10

Nutty, I know exactly what you mean! That is a major reason for my anger at dh this weekend!

SMB, I think I have only been alone in the house once or twice since giving birth too!

SOL, shame about the rugby, quiet night for you last night then

Pesha, cant believe you got the children up at that time of night. Think I would have been more likely to tell him to sod off!!

oooggs · 21/10/2007 18:51

good evening - had a fab time ;ast night - lovely food, great wine & best of all fantastic company

glad things sorted mammyjo
katy did you survive in the house by yourself with out T to look after you ?
sol - wow those kids must be hard work
hope the christening was good dippy
pesha - drunk men are clueless

CaptainDippy · 21/10/2007 19:24

What are you talking about oooggs - "drunk men are clueless" .....

Men are clueless.

Fullstop!

Hope everyone has had a nice weekend, shattered here, as always (not a great way to start the week ) Christening was a bit mad - my friend whose son was being Christened is Polish and her Uncle lead the service and his accent was so thick I could bearly understand a word he said - girls were completely ferral - running round the church, shrieking and carrying on - was very funny though, I have to admit! Nice buffet afterwards - lots of yummy cake! My mum has been behaving herself and has gone great guns in the garden - fence completely painted, she is starting on the lawn tomorrow while the workmen drill up and get rid of the concrete. I have booked DD2 into nursery all day and am escaping with DD's 1&3 to a friends for the day......

Feeling tired just typing that!!

LOL @ you describing the England team as "poor lambs" SOL - You do crack me up with your expressions and turn of phrase!!

Sexonlegs · 21/10/2007 19:32

Nutty, I too am in total agreement. I feel like I have to do absolutely everything in this house. We got back from friends, and while dh sat and watched the GP, I was emptying the washing machine, sorting laundry and getting the kids tea! And this thing about reminding them to do x, y and z, get on my tits big time!

I feel better for that!

MJ, no action last night no - phew, what a relief!!

Oooggs, it made B look like an angel. They could do with a dose of SuperNanny. My friends dh is useless too - just try to brush it under the carpet or laugh it off.

CD, glad the Christening went well, and even gladder that your mum seems to be excelling herself!

Glad you enjoy my turns of phrase!

weepotion · 21/10/2007 19:56

hi folks!
it is quiet on here the past couple of days!

i agree that men = clueless (+ inconsiderate, self centred and generally crap) I had a grim few days away at dp's sis's wedding (done another thread about it). i feel so hacked off at the moment. i dotn think i exist outside of c at the mo and am grieving for a life i left. i have booked her and I into a hotel for a couple of days at the beginning of november - havent told dp and dont know if i will!!

nice thing = my dvd crew are with me for 2 days this week! a reason to do my hair and get make up on!

sorry for self centred post
heres hoping this week is great for everyone!

Sexonlegs · 21/10/2007 20:24

Oh weepotion, you sound so hacked off. Which topic have you posted under?

Hope you enoy the DVD crew - sounds fab.

AuntieMeemz · 21/10/2007 20:25

oh Vampesha, what a trial! The way I deal with dh is by dreaming up his pennance for domestic crimes. There is sure to be something he wants, which he can have, but he has to REALLY pay for it...like in doing some big favours.

I'm much releived that it is not only my dh who has to be told ENDLESSSSSSS, ENDLESSSSSS times to do or not do something. We've been married so long (13 years now) it only takes a glare from me, and he knows he's headed for trouble.

And then, I remember how much I love him, and how miserable and lonely life would be without him. IF that doesn't work, I simply lie in bed dreaming of my revenge,or how I'll plan my gettaway (that always works)

elkiedee · 21/10/2007 22:06

wp, no need for apologies, I'll have a look for your other thread now to see what happened. Sorry to hear you sound so down about things.

Must tell dp how much better he sounds than most of your lot. He usually takes D with him to get the paper on weekend mornings, though I must confess I start to fret that something dreadful has happened if they're out for too long (it hasn't so far, touch wood!)

We were a bit shocked today - went to a park with a big cafe with D as I felt we all needed a walk and some air and not to sit around grouching at each other. In that sense it was a success. A little girl came up and asked for chips off my plate and helped herself. I wasn't bothered about the chips as such but was concerned that I couldn't see an obviously responsible adult in charge. dp thought her parents were outside . I wouldn't be happy to let a child wander that far away from me in such a place. dp also noticed that she was going up and asking for/taking food from every other table. Then a little boy came up and did the same thing, then began to pick up pebbles from some sort of decorative vase of pebbles in the corner. Finally a woman appeared and smacked him - not great but at least she was taking him back. I find it a bit concerning when people don't appear to be looking out for their kids in parks and other places, both for those kids and because sometimes they're doing things that make me nervous for D, like pebble throwing (or playing with a ball very close to us). Finally we realised that both children were actually with this woman who was standing in the long food queue asking everyone there to give her money/buy her food. As she left one of the staff chased after her and came back into the cafe with a cup. All more than a bit weird.

CaptainDippy · 21/10/2007 23:29

How bizaare, Pesha Poor family sounds like they were in a bad way!!!? Weird.

Anyway, off to bed as I am shattered, night ladies ......

CaptainDippy · 21/10/2007 23:31

I meant elkie Goigng mad, clearly needing sleep ......

SharpMolarBear · 22/10/2007 07:24

Morning everyone
sounds like everyone's having DH/DP troubles. weeonion, sorry you've had such a bad weekend. Why have you booked a hotel - just for a break? Hope everything's OK. (Sorry if you've explained this on the other thread)
CD, sounds like a fun christening Hope you enjoy yourself at your friends today.
Auntie, lol at you plotting your revenge!
I realised I lied about the house thing - my mum took him for a walk when I was trying to do my assignment a few months back as well . When DH got back (he'd only been to the local shop) he said "Did you get everyrhing done you wanted to?" i.e. tea cooking / housework. What if what I had wanted to do was have a coffee knowing there was no chance of the crying starting ??
I really recommend the baby nests! T seems to love his, and so do I as I know he'll be entertained for a while without dropping his toys out of reach! Although he's getting a bit big (not sure what age they're aimed at?) so I wouldn't pay full price for one unless you were planning to use it for another baby as well (I'm tight!) The real test will come when I try to have a shower...

elkiedee · 22/10/2007 09:31

Morning smb, and anyone else who's about.

SharpMolarBear · 22/10/2007 09:46

Morning elkie, what do you have planned for the day?

elkiedee · 22/10/2007 10:00

It's the Jolly Babies group this afternoon, a volunteer run group. I'm on the rota for locking up the building this afternoon, and I'm not sure exactly what I need to do so I'm really hoping Ros who started coming after me and was pressganged at the same time, and locked up last week, makes it.

We sit around, chat and feed our babies and drink tea together. The advantage is that there's a space for the babies to play, plus the tea's funded by the council's funding to the group. I just have a scary feeling about the responsibility, and that it's not long before I have to find someone to hand things on to before I return to work. Eek.

What's everyone else up to today?

Lucewitch · 22/10/2007 10:03

Morning

Lucewitch · 22/10/2007 10:11

It has been half term up here and my dds go back to school tomorrow and ds1 goes back to nursery aswell.

We have been fairly housebound all week because of toilet training ds1, very pleased to tell you that it has been a complete sucess

Leaky, so pleased to hear that Eva has gone home

Weepotion for you about SILs wedding

I am gradually getting back into studying again but have found it really hard with having all four home all week so roll on tomorrow.

Loving the BumGenuis nappies, they are so cute! The cotton bottoms are too small (S was in 4+ dispies) so I am assuming that I can use the pads for boosters etc????
