Hi Pesha, hope to hear that the party is lots of fun

CaptainDippy · 23/10/2007 23:18

Bouncy castle? Magician? Mobile farmyard? Food? Face painting?

Hello and goodbye - I am off to bed (think DH has fallen asleep, fully clothed, with DD!, bloomin' typical {sigh emoticon}

See you in the morning. xx

POTC · 24/10/2007 00:32

DS has just been sick on DD that'll teach her to get too close

Eddas · 24/10/2007 08:12

well I didn't get to bed at 8 but was in bed by before 10 so that's good anyway! DH took over night duty and I had a full nights sleep Feel better but I have that 'i'm gonna get a sore throat feeling' IYSWIM. Ah well!

No party game ideas for you Pesha, hope you get some. But I do like POTC's idea of leaving dp in charge

Am chancing the shops with dc's todday then I think dd has a swimming lesson but if I get there and it's not on she can go into soft play as she'll need something to burn off the energy she'll have from shopping!!

What's everyone else up to today?

Really must get off the computer, lots to do before shopping

Sexonlegs · 24/10/2007 08:49

Morning all.

Pesha, can you start another thread on free party games? I bet there are tonnes of ideas.

One thing my cousins did was to have a fruit kebab competition. Basically each child had a skewer and the winner was the first to make a fruit kebab and eat it all.

Well, got up this am to exactly the same scene as yesterday. Curtains closed, cats not fed, nothing washed up from last night blah blah. I will be having words with dh later. I was typing a rant post about him last night and the sodding PC crashed. In the meantime, he apologised!

He was complaining that he hated coming in from being out at work for 12 hours to B being a pita! Erm helllo??? Try looking after the 2 of them for 12 hours, sorting washing etc and thinking of healthy food to give B.

Unbloodybelievable!!!!!

Eddas, enjoy your shopping trip !!!

Have a good day loves. x

SharpMolarBear · 24/10/2007 08:52

Morning
SOL, sorry you lost your rant thread - a good rant always makes me feel better
What's everyone up to? I had a lie in

elkiedee · 24/10/2007 10:00

Eddas, hope the shopping goes well.

SOL, sorry to hear that things are still getting to you. How long have you got left before you're back at work now?

No ideas on party games, sorry.

D had a long waking spell in the night, so we accidentally slept until after 7 am, though I had woken up and moved him at 6.30 am. We had a terrible panic last night though I didn't post at the time (too upset by it), as D rolled off the bed when dp was up there. I don't think he understood fully how much more mobile D has suddenly become. I rang my mum who said she didn't think there was anything wrong if he only cried for 5 minutes and had then stopped as he had, our bed is low and there is carpet in there. dp and I both felt terrible, and I wish I'd taken the phone up and shared my mum's advice first hand with dp, it did help.

Then the health visitor phoned this morning and asked me to go in. It's a good thing, I think, but I'm still nervous. I think I'm feeling better but if I talk or think about how down I was in July/August I start crying again, still.

leakyR · 24/10/2007 10:04

Morning

Going out today to ty and keep the house tidy I get sick of doing the same jobs over and over.

Feel better in terms of my tum, but think I'm getting a sore throat. What has happened to my immune system?

Sorry Pesha no game ideas. Cake sounds fab.

SharpMolarBear · 24/10/2007 10:05

elkie, that happened to me the other day (rolling off the bed), it's horrible isn't it? Didn't help that T was already in a screamy mood so he carried on afterwards, obviously I couldn't tell whether it was related to the fall or not Glad D was only upset for a few minutes, I bet it's a shock.
Hope the HV helps this afternoon, are you going in to talk about feeling down?

SharpMolarBear · 24/10/2007 10:06

morning leaky x post. Hope you're back to normal soon, good luck for the pictures.

leakyR · 24/10/2007 10:07

Elkie hope it goes well with hv. Danny is lovely and you do so well to be out and about with him every day. I admire your energy

CaptainDippy · 24/10/2007 10:47

Morning - DD1 at hairdresser with G'ma (I must be v.brave ... and mad!) Hoping she doesn't come back with a perm or something. Younger two sleeping, I have made a picnic and loaded up the car (pram, picnic etc) as we are off to the farm this pm .... must be completely mental; but I did promise DD1 we would go this week. Please, please don't rain! Eeeeeek! ... and I am looking forward to wearing the funky new wellies I bought yesterday!

D will be fine Elkie - babies are very resiliant - I have managed to drop both of my older DD's down the stairs in their car seats at a very young age. .... and I fell down the stairs the other day holding P - Don't feel bad, we have all done it and babies have an annoying habit of surprising you when you least expect it (devious little blighters ) xx

Hope you have all got fun plans for the day! xx

elkiedee · 24/10/2007 11:23

I'm going to see the hv tomorrow, I think it's more of a "we'd better see you because we haven't for so long" kind of visit.

I think I feel a lot better but thinking about having been in that dark place sort of takes me back there, and that means I'm still more likely than not to cry at my appointment.

CaptainDippy · 24/10/2007 11:51

You are a brilliant mummy, honey - don't fret!

Off to the farm now, byeeeee!

SharpMolarBear · 24/10/2007 12:07

mooo
baaa
oink

oooggs · 24/10/2007 13:05

will think of games throughout the day pesha and gt back to you this evening. Is she 6? I have forgotten.

I am not going to bother telling you about my nights anymore they are crap and getting worse. I had 3 hours sleep last night, I don't know what to do and I hate being a parent at the moment

Pinions · 24/10/2007 13:25

Hi ladies just running in between cooking/tidying/washing up/playing games/nappy changing/feeding you get the drift.

I am currently in the throws of completely giving up breastfeeding and it is almost unbearable. I just keep looking at his little face and nearly cracking up, but HAVE GOT to be given up by Xmas.

It is one of the most traumatising and upsetting experiences that I have been through and above all the PAIN is unbearable. I have taken all sorts of painkillers but nothing really touches it at all. The worst of it is I am still only on day 3 and I STILL HAVE MILK which makes the decision even more painful because I keep on questioning myself all the time.

Please someone tell me I'm doing the right thing pleeeeeeeeeeeease.......!!!

SharpMolarBear · 24/10/2007 14:19

Sorry you're having such a hard time Pinions
Why is it so important you've stopped by Christmas? Are you going back to work?

SharpMolarBear · 24/10/2007 16:59

where is everyone this afternoon?

Lucewitch · 24/10/2007 17:44

Hi SMB, just popping in quickly.
DD wants the computer to do homework

Sexonlegs · 24/10/2007 18:06

Evening all

CD, hope you enjoyed the trip to the farm.

Elkie, hope you are ok. You sound somewhat down. Hope D is ok after his tumble off the bed. They are pretty resilient.

Pinions, if you put a broom up your ar** you can sweep thh floor at the same time as doing all the other stuff!! That is what I plan on doing tomorrow!!

Had a good day today. Bummed around the house this morning, then went out to get some cake baking stuff. B baked some cakes and then we went off for a trampolining session - B not me! She was really good at it, but not v patient waiting her turn!

Where has everyone else been today??

You have all gone and got lives again!

NorthernLurker · 24/10/2007 18:08

Pinions - do you have to give up totally - what about cutting back just to a bedtime feed - or another time that suits you? With my older two I did that up to 11 months when I stopped altogether with little difficulty - am planning something similar this time. Your supply would adjust to that. It just sounds like you don't want to give up but am worried its all or nothing - or am I wrong?

NorthernLurker · 24/10/2007 18:09

SOL - I didn't have a life today - I had a headache! DH has a couple of days off from tomorrow so lots of lovely stuff planned.....
