Laughalot/2happy/EAH- Ruth will have her revenge when she can get around

2happy- yhey on the first tooth, although we only have 2 half way through and she though they were very good for biting my nipple with. Found it hilarious no matter how many times I said 'NO!' to her.

EAH- I am always telling DH to be quiet when he leaves, but he still thumps about. When I tell him to shut up, he says 'I am being quiet'

Lizz- think Ruth will be like that. She has started screaming and flailing her arms around if he comes anywhere near her today. Must be hard looking for childcare. Hope you find the perfect one.

Rgee- does it sound ridiculous that it had not occured to me that Ruth's bday was just over a week after Christmas! And I dont think that is tight at all. If you think about the ammount of toys they get each christmas and bday, they just mount up and by the time they are two you end up having a living room full of toys! I am dreading when there are all the girls toys as well as the boys stuff there already is (although I think Luke is secretly looking forward to her getting a doll and a pushchair as he loves to play with the one at the toddler group we go to! BTW We just bought a couple of these and I cant recomend them enough. Beats lugging boxes off one another when your lo always wants the one at the bottom!

Wilkie- We got Luke a Rudolf suit for his first christmas- sad but very cute. Being sick is horrible. \hope you feel better tom xx

I thought we were getting a tummy bug as Luke woke up being sick last night, but in the morning I realised it was slapped cheek sydrome. Poor little thing was so ill, but we lay around watching tv all day {bad mummy emocicon] and I actually enjoyed watching disney films. Very sad! Pretty sure Ruth has it too but suppose it is good getting these things over and done with

WeeWitchyWilkie · 17/10/2007 20:22

DH - 'slapped cheek syndrome' - please elaborate

Shimmer · 17/10/2007 21:14

Ok SERIOUSLY....Does anyone want to come and be in the Friday Night With Jonathan Ross audience with me tomorrow night???? Take That are on!!!! (and Terry Wogan....)

We have 2 tickets... it's a really really long story of canceled babysitters, friends going on holiday and not being able to get time off work and now THE NIGHT BEFORE DP and I have ended up with 2 tickets and no-one to look after F and no friends availbe to go with!

So if anyone fancies seeing Take That (and Terry Wogan) live and could be in London for about 5:30pm tomorrow let me know!

hattie2 · 17/10/2007 22:15

Shimmer - I am soooo jealous! If it was on Friday I would be there but no way I can get into town for that time tomorrow night.

theUrbanDevil · 17/10/2007 22:22

oh i'd love to Shimmer but there's no way we could organise a babysitter at such short notice.

stick a thread on Chat - i bet they'll go quick enough!

i've just done my first online Tesco shop. it was lovely. i only bought exactly what we needed, with no screaming baby, and no having to hunt dh down in the toy department (seriously it's like having 2 kids! )

Z's shoes haven't arrived - the seller's left me feedback so she must have received the payment, but i think the strikes have delayed them. bah!

Lizzzombie · 18/10/2007 09:09

Tescos online rules!
And have you been to www.hotdeals.co.uk (I think thats right) for the £10 off coupons? Even better!

I made the most fabulous birthday cake for DP yesterday, I am seriously a rival to Anthea Turner Perfect Housewife. She should so do a program where all the best ones compete for the ultimate accolade.

I am doing the LO dressed up as santa made into xmas cards this year. Pixi foto are in Boots in mid November. Will pop 'down Matalan' tomorrow for suitable atire!
I think its important to embarrass your LO. How else will they learn how to take good natured teasing?!

I am soooooooooo knackered. Dylan was up with his honking cough and runny nose most of the night, he refused to take any mediced or calpol. I have just found out you can mix both of them (singularly) in yoghurt, so am hoping to hide some later on. He is poorly.

Wilks - hope the D&V has gone now. You must be so thin by now!

Lizzzombie · 18/10/2007 09:10

ps - have a look on ebay for ultra cheap smoby things. I am watching a log cabin which is currently £10.50 but its in Kent, a bit too far away from me....EaH - what do you think?!

Lizzzombie · 18/10/2007 09:11

here

I think the words you are looking for are, "I WANT ONE OF THOSE!"

its a wendy house for boys!

eandh · 18/10/2007 10:31

ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
I want one of those

thats only about 15mins way (in fact eddas da ens the evil stepmother live there!) I have added it to 'my watching items' as we were talking about getting them a house for the garden but may go for one of those wooden ones and then I could makecurtains etc and my dad would build units in it for them.

I have pulled a muscle in my chest adn it seriously hurts have been to chemist this morning and git ibrupen (sp) gel but it feels as if a 2 stone midget is sitting on my chest I couldnt getto sleep last night eventually noded off at 1am and 3 guesses who woke up at 2.30

Has been a nice morning though ellie at preschool and hattie asleep so been and got my hair trimmed and bought some hair dy form tesco (am going chocolate brown but won't have time to do it today!) hattie still asleep so am having soem time on here (although floors could do with a sweep)

I have parents evening at pre school tonight, I tink its hilarious that I have to go to a 3yr olds parents evening but its also agm meeting so me and eddas volunteering to go on committe and we find out the date of the nativity play (so so so cute can't wait to see ellies 1st nativity competetive mum I want her to be an angel as seen a lovely outfit I can buy!!)

eandh · 18/10/2007 10:33

woo some awful typos there (eddas dad and evil stepmother btw!!)

whers jodie/lth/vino/nemo lately?

katwith3kittens · 18/10/2007 12:34

Get a wooden one ..... plastic is just too manky to look at in your garden for the next 5 years !

Still not crawling, sleeping thro, got any more teeth, eating much except courgette and gruyere and I've got a huge bruise on my boob where he wasnt latched on correctly in the night, looks like a hicky

And now ... another dirty nappy to sort out..... life is never boring is it ?

theUrbanDevil · 18/10/2007 12:57

Z is playing with his jumbo knob puzzle.

LTh has had computer troubles lately - i heard from her today, think she was meeting Lizzz for a coffee

Lizzzombie · 18/10/2007 13:05

hullo!
yes, we had coffee in Debenhams, where her LO's were good as gold, and Dylan screamed the place down. V.embarrassing!
Good bargains to be had in the Debenhams blue X sale. I got a paddling pool with rainbow cover (ELC) reduced from £15 to £5!!
And LTH got some great big boys clothes reduced too.
When LO wakes up, I may venture back in to town to see what they have in my size as all my clothes have holes in them or are too small!

JodieG1 · 18/10/2007 13:16

Wow I've only just seen this thread and it's huge! I have no time to read it yet but will try and catch up later.

Dh is away in Spain until Friday and all the dc's have a cold, Ethan is teething and now has 4 teeth! His 2 top front ones are through but I think I can see others coming as well.

Had a crap few weeks hence why I haven't been on much. We thought Ethan had chicken pox but it turned out to be hand, foot and mouth which dd then caught and she had it much worse. She had terrible blisters in her mouth and couldn't eat or drink and was in awful pain, it was horrible. Had to call drs twice, nhs direct and saw the gp twice in one week. She was getting dehyrated and couldn't drink so was nearly admitted to be put on a drip for fluids but thankfully she managed to drink some water and started to get better. She was off school for a week. Somehow ds1 managed to not catch it though .

It's ds1's 4th birthday in a couple of weeks so I've been trying to sort out a party for that and am waiting to hear back from people now to see if they can come.

I am so exhausted as Ethan is up 7ish times a night feeing and restless and tosses and turns half the night so I don't get much sleep. It's where he's been ill and teething making it worse and now he also has a cold. Hopefully he'll sleep through one day!

gobletofblood · 18/10/2007 13:40

I'm here! I seem to be in a permenant rush every day hence no posting for a while.

Ellen must be odd ne out re hoover cos she chases it round the room and tries licking it so she isn't scared of the loud boise!

I have done no xmas shopping yet but nicking ideas from you all. Me&DH only usually spend £50 on each other so can't see us spending more than that, if that on E esp as her b'day is 2 weeks later. AM suppsoed tobe doing a list of things we want for her for the grasndparents to buy from but not got round to it yet.

Yesterday DH had the day off and I did too but we sent Ellen to nursery and went walking in the DAles (to Linton & Burnsall if anyones interested). Sunny, crisp, stepping stones to cross river (I LOVE STEPPING STONES) and found a fax pub for lunch that we'll defo go back to when in the area. All in all very pleasant excvept someone bumped the back of our car at a roundabout on the way home. AAAAHH . WE got insurance thorugh budget this year cos it was cheapest and now cos its a broker I have had to give the details to 3 lots of people this morning and 2 different places have contacted me saying they are gonna do the repairs. I'm confused!!!

THe tumble dryer saga ahas ended by it being nicked by someone last night. It was there when we went to bed but not when DH went to work. I couldn;t sleep last night and thought I heard smethng but couldn;t be arsed top get out of bed to look. It doesn;t work anyway so good luck to whoever has it.

Swimming lesson for us this afternoon. Viewing on our house later on. The estate agent says she 'feels good' about this viewe whatver that means.

Ellen keep getting a heat rash. I have a sore throat.

UD I keep meaning t shop online. One day I will get round to it.

Lizz goo dluck with the nursery hunting. Here the price of nursery and CM doesn't differ much well nto for me cos she is there 9-10 hours so £33 for nursery and 3.50p'h for CM.

had my fringe trimmed this morning - free - pleased with myself for that bargain.

want one of those hippychick hip seats tryong to find a bargain

theUrbanDevil · 18/10/2007 14:03

goblet - we had a hippychick seat given to us free through dh's work, but i gave it away as we never used it, i thought it was a bit crap to be honest. if we're just nipping out and i want Z to sit on my hip i use our Premaxx baby bag (look here). if anything it's better than a hip seat cause i have my hands free. you can use a ring sling as well, it's the same principle, check out some bargains on eBay here

i'm a bit of a sling fanatic, can you tell?

theUrbanDevil · 18/10/2007 14:07

just see this though Goblet, if you did want to go for a hip seat...

theUrbanDevil · 18/10/2007 14:18

i've just bought one of these - saw people using them at the LLL conference and thought they looked more secure than the Premaxx one!

i'm like those weirdo buggy fanatics! still slings are cheaper and easy to store!

katwith3kittens · 18/10/2007 14:22

I love my hippychick. Think its fab no matter what you think UD

RGEEnie · 18/10/2007 18:19

Dragon - slapped cheek is such a funny name for a virus. Hope the lo's feel better soon.

Shimmer - so hope you have someone to go with to JR. TT on too!! And I love Terry

UD - hope you are now addicted to online supermarket shopping - I love it! Did you use the discount vouchers you can find at hot deals website? I'll point you in the right direction if not. Ah...just read Lizz's post!

Lizz - photo of cake please. I have a really horrid pumpkin suit especially to take photos of her and bring out for later life. On the lookout for a Xmas outfit too.

EaH - hope the parents eve goes well!! How's your chest?

Hi Jodie - welcome back! The illnesses are doing the rounds. Glad the lo's are on the mend. Have you got a theme for ds1's birthday?

Vino - sorry but pmsl about your tumble dryer. Can't believe it was still there. Good job it's gone for when the good vibes viewers come round later.
Love the Linton / Burnsall area. Know those stepping stones cos I am a big wuss and frightened of stepping stones, but actually managed to get across those!
You still feeling up for a night on the tiles tomorrow eve?

Wilkie - you feeling any better?

RGEEnie · 18/10/2007 18:30

Hmm...what to have for tea? Dh out tonight. Can I be bothered to cook?

WeeWitchyWilkie · 18/10/2007 18:31

Hello. Day 3 of the nasty D&V bug. Still feeling like shite. Coupled with period cramps and depression cos I haven't been able to take my ADs. Wonderful. Lost 5lb. Who needs WW.

If any of you are looking to do personalised calendars, I have found this fab website Pixaroo which does great ones. Am doing one for mum, MIL and Grandma of J/various other grandchildren-great grandchildren where applicable.

I'm sorry - have neither energy nor inclination to do lots of personals although I have read all posts.

Jodie - poor kids. Did seem weird for it to have been chickenpox. Hope they are all better soon.

DH - ditto, hope all is well in your household.

EAH - hope chest gets better soon chuck

....lost energy now. Feeling V sorry for myself. Am a shite patient.
