excellent thread title...

theUrbanDevil · 12/10/2007 17:41

2Happy - just read your post on your previous thread. i have no idea how long i'm going to to bf for, when i was pg i thought i'd do it for 12 months then switch him to cow's milk, but he's so reliant on nursing to get him to sleep, and he gets so much comfort from it, i think it would be mean to put him on a bottle when he's 1, just because he's 1 IYKWIM. i would totally tandem nurse, if i got pg, it's a good way to freak out nursing staff combat sibling rivary, and mumma milk is better for a toddler than cow's milk. really, i dunno. as long as he wants. it's no biggy to me, it's free, and easy, and convenient, and nutritious.

and a good way to answer those "When are you going to stop nursing?" questions is, "Oh, in about 5 minutes when he's had enough!"

2HappyFrighteningPeople · 12/10/2007 19:14

Oh good answer! I am so going to use that!!

gobletofblood · 12/10/2007 19:25

UD I LOVE that answer!!! Iam so glad I BF for as long as I did but am jealous of my mate who still BFS but she hasn't gopne bac to work yet which I think makes a big diff (altho I know you are back 2happy).

I haven't done any xmas shopping yet - looked at a few options for my secret santa though.....

Excited as have just booked a train ticket to see one of my best friends in Dec so we can leave babies at home and meet for lunch. Probably a boozy lunch too.

Had a lovely day with Rgee and 2 RL friends plus babies then when everyone had left Ellen got grouchy and just cried. Her nails annoyed me cos they kept catching onm y jeans (I hate that sound) so I had to cut them. She was asleep at 6 again.

DH has to work tomorrow. I had planned to food shop tonight but can'tbe arsed. Drinking wine instead. Tomorrow might do some ellen cooking, might so shopping. Who =knows???

Can't for strictly tomorrow!!!!

2HappyFrighteningPeople · 12/10/2007 19:31

Ooh, I love strictly too. I think Kelly Brook looked like she'll be good. And the other brunette, though I have no idea who she is [totally out of touch with modern culture emoticon - best bit of today was listening to A-HA on Stuart Maconie this eve!]

And at yuou lot all meeting up. No fair!

OP posts:
theUrbanDevil · 12/10/2007 19:35

i don't know what i would've done if i'd had to go back to work, if i'm perfectly honest the main reason i didn't want to go back to work was because i couldn't be arsed pumping. i have some American friends who pump religiously, and you have to be so committed to doing it, pump through the night and stuff. it's a different culture over there though, they don't have maternity leave like we do, and have to go back to work pretyy much straight away, which sucks!

Lizz - come on, i can't hang around all night, i've got sitting on my arse and feeling sorry for myself to be getting on with!

2HappyFrighteningPeople · 12/10/2007 19:35

Man, it's going to be a long rant, isn't it?!

OP posts:
theUrbanDevil · 12/10/2007 19:36

OP posts:
Lizzzombie · 12/10/2007 19:38

sorry, had to get chips out of oven.

Ok, so DP has been off sick all week. But is well enough to go out on mega lash tonight with mates to beer festival and for a meal. So, ok, he's entitled to a night out. So I got a bottle of red in for this evening, to help me watch Ugly Betty on my own, and get through the ironing. But, I just came to open it, and its FUKING* CORKED I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo angry.

I got it from Waitrose too, thinking that it would be posh. That'll teach me. I'll go to Lidl next time. Pity they shut Kwik Save, their sherry will be nicer than what vinegar flavored devil piss that I nearly drank.

GRRRRRRRR.

Lizzzombie · 12/10/2007 19:40

AND ANOTHER THING

I have to start work at primark tomorrow.

At least I won't have a hangover.

I HATE MY LIFE

gobletofblood · 12/10/2007 19:40

2HappyFrighteningPeople · 12/10/2007 19:41

PMSL, I was imagining your fingers smoking as you typed a three-page rant!

I am on my own too - well, dh isn't home from work yet, no idea when he will be. We shall have to pass some virtual glasses of (uncorked) red around.

OP posts:
theUrbanDevil · 12/10/2007 19:42

at your dp for a start Lizzz. what a twat. sorry, but if he's ill then he's not going out on the lash.

now, do you have any other alcohol on the house at all? or, could you make him bring you a takeout? it'll be more expensive, but if he can afford to go out on the lash he can afford to bring you a bottle of house plonk from the local!

pity you don't live in Brighton anymore - i know for a fact that there are booze delivery services in Brighton!

theUrbanDevil · 12/10/2007 19:43

Primark might not be tooooo bad. you might...er...meet some really...er...em...interesting people?

Lizzzombie · 12/10/2007 20:05

Yes! I do get a discount at Primarni! (not sure how big though!) - so black cloud is lifted slightly.
Intersesting people I may meet, hmm, have a look at who works at your local branch. Chances are they are the type you wouldnt want to meet in a dark alley. Yes...I will put myself in that category too.

Well, I have 6 bottles of champagne (I HATE champagne) left over from LO being born, engagement etc. I have 2 bottles of mini baileys. 2 cans of ready made pimms. 3/4 a bottle of scotch and 6 cans of bitter (ugh).

So it could be a right old knees up round mine. Except for it isnt.
I WANTED RED WINE

ps - had sneaky fag last week at work leaving do. Thought I had lung cancer the next morning I felt soooo rough!

ooooohhh - Eastenders just got good!
