Congrats on thw 9lbs Wilks...is that since you've been ill?

Jodie - Do you live in a 'nice' area? There are a few dodgy people down my road and I am really hoping we wont get big groups of teenagers trick or treating. Little kids with their parents I don't mind, but not people I don't know. IYKWIM?

WeeWitchyWilkie · 29/10/2007 20:52

Lizz - cheeky. I lost 2lb the week I was ill but other than that it has been sheer willpower which I normally don't have any of so I am really proud of myself.

Jodie - hmm, not sure I agree with trick or treating. It just seems a bit americanised now - does anyone else find that? I suppose it is quite cute when they are little kids with their parents who have really made an efford. We ususally get young lads with 'a mask' on asking for money

Anyway, I will leave mum to deal with that one cos Rich and I are having a night out and J is stopping at mums. Yey!! We are on holiday from work this week.

Lizzzombie · 29/10/2007 20:55

OMG...Wilkie - J is properly walking! I thought you meant he was just sort of tottering holding on to things!
You have a child genius! Enrole him into dancing classes asap!

Lizzzombie · 29/10/2007 20:58

ps - he looks so grown up...what is happening to our little babies???!

DJ is turning into a proper little boy at the moment, into absolutely everything he shouldn't and keeps shooting me cheeky "look at me" looks when he is doing naughty things.

Will take some photos and upload tomorrow so you can see my little cutie pie too!
(he is at last eating toast and bread...taken long enough!)

Lizzzombie · 29/10/2007 21:46

Wilkie - I have 4 x "I"'s...I am very stuck on our current scrabble game!
I have also just taken the mini pill and am feeling a bit sick...am off to bed to hope it doesnt come back up on me.
I swear I am the last person who wants to have another baby right now!

WeeWitchyWilkie · 29/10/2007 21:48

Ok doke - night night

JodieG1 · 29/10/2007 21:56

Wilkie - I love halloween, don't see what different it makes where it comes from tbh, it's nice for the young kids that bother to dress up Not the moody teens though!

Liz - it's a nice place we live in, quiet and loads of young kids. Ethan is properly walking like that too, he does it on his own for a while but with hand holding is a master He takes after his brother as he also walked this early.

JodieG1 · 29/10/2007 21:58

I need to put some new pics up, will do that tomorrow. Have some really nice ones I love the way Ethan will stand and then see Caitlin or Morgan and walk over to them and kiss them, so cute He loves sitting on the curtain as well and poking his head round laughing, he's so cheeky

MrScarRot · 29/10/2007 22:20

Wow - walking already, that's amazing! Lovely photos, Wilkie, he looks so cute. Post some up as well, Jodie.

Canmummy - I'm very interested as to why your dietician thinks your breastsmilk is deficient in calcium, did he give a reason? I know vegan breastfeeders who don't give calcium supplements, there are tons of other sources. I don't understand. Our dietician gives crap advice so I haven't much faith but tell me more about it anyway.

Lizzzombie · 30/10/2007 08:01

Canmummy - thats a good point. Only a very small amount of calcium is actually found in milk. Seseame seeds have more of it in than milk apparently. Can you ask for a 2nd opinion at all? Maybe the Dr got mixed up with thinking about the iron levels reducing in breast milk as the baby gets older. Which is obviously when you start feeding them dark chocolate...erm, I mean spinach!

Jodie - Does Ethan dance? DJ hasnt started that yet (surprise ) but another little baby I know who is 2 weeks younger starts dancing when she hears music and its so cute!

eandh · 30/10/2007 08:16

cute cute cute cute pics wilkie he is gorgeous and congrats on ww

we went trick or treating the year ellie was 13months (just did people we knew on the estate and ellie dressed up as a witch!) couldnt be arsed last year and doubt we'll doit this year either. We don't answer door to teenagers only to the little ones (they tend to come around 6-6.30)

Hattie sort of dances she will hold onto the table and then do some mad bouncing up and down chuckling her head off, her and ellie are currently fighting over the peppa pig car

Lizz any luck with jobs yet? ummm can't remember who else posted as ellie decided to wake up at 4am and not go back to sleep so shes very tired and moody and I can't decide whether to take her to school or if they are going to ring and say pick her up

Lizzzombie · 30/10/2007 08:28

Maybe its a girl thing - the dancing? Its so cute to see though! [ency] !!

Glad your girls are on top form again - fighting over Pepa has got to be a good sign, Poor you getting up at 4am though.

Ann Summers interview has been postponed due to the premises falling through.
I have an interview with Mothercare on Thursday morning.
I turned down Debenhams offer as it was seasonal, but they are keeping me on file.
Fingers crossed - something will turn up!

Lizzzombie · 30/10/2007 08:29

yes, [ency] is a new emotion...it means 'jealous of babies dancing' - did you not know that??!

Lizzzombie · 30/10/2007 08:30

OMG - Craig David is on GMTV...he is all grown up. Its so weird!

laughalot · 30/10/2007 10:00

Wilkie he looks so cute and grown up lauren is like a little doll im sure she will still be crawling when shes 3 .

Not much to report here aidan was so excited about school today and couldnt wait to get his uniform on he was in my bedroom at 5:50 with his uniform in his hands [tired emotion].

Im not taking aidan trick or treating as im at work so wont be in till 6 and he has school next day so dont want him to be tired, we have carved a pumpkin though which he loves.

Lizzzombie · 30/10/2007 13:00

I have got lots of lollies in for the trick or treaters...just in case they come.
Not sure if there will be many left though!

DP is doing a sign for the door which says no Trick or Treaters after 7pm please - baby sleeping. I am not dealing with a grouchy baby and screaming kids on a sugar high at the door!

2HappyFrighteningPeople · 30/10/2007 14:11

Halloween - another reason I love living in the middle of nowhere Xmas Grin!

I also don't mind kids doing it, but the older ones, or the ones who demand money, WTF??! Also, in my day (hear the rocking chair squeaking again??) we had to earn our treats by telling a story, or a joke, or doing a trick. No such thing as a free..er..treat.

Wow Lal, that looks a great BTB collection. I'm waiting on the same sort of set coming from Ebay - I got it for a fiver - but it's not come yet and I bought it over a week ago. How long to leave it until I email the sender, I wonder...

Jessops/snapfish were doing the same sort of calendar offer a bit ago, so dh and I (meaning I did it while he nodded at intervals pretending he was paying attention while watching rugby) sorted next year's out.

Oh, and tits. One of my favourite swearwords it must be said

Lizzzombie · 30/10/2007 14:42

should it not be [H TITS] to get the full effect this week?!

eandh · 30/10/2007 14:47

oh poo I wanted to get some of those calenders but am waiting to get my photos I had done of them together (getting them fiday) oh well hopefully they'll be on offer again.

We've just spent an hour round the woods kicking/throwing leaves whilst Hattie had a sleep in buggy, am hoping all the fresh air will make both of them very sleepy by 6pm!!!
