Oh, no, Laughalot, you poor thing.

I'm sure it's coming my way too, can't believe I could clear that much up without catching it.

Hope you feel better soon

laughalot · 26/10/2007 10:13

Mrsc hope your household feels better soon too, that is really terrible what happened with the horse. I just hate feeling sick yuck

WeeWitchyWilkie · 26/10/2007 11:18

Oh no - the D&V bug is attacking everyone. Hope you feel better soon LAL!

MrsC - how is F today? These things happen - don't feel guilty about it, you would think that they would remove animals with the potential to bite with so many kids around?!?!?!

MrScarRot · 26/10/2007 12:01

He's a bit better, thanks, no more vomiting but the nappies are putrid. Had to catch lots of leakage with towels in the night. Nice!

laughalot · 26/10/2007 13:56

Yep why does there crap smell so awful

eandh · 26/10/2007 14:07

poor lal and mrsc little man

hattie has vest and pj's on at night - she hates covers and grobags so if its very chilly I have those £3 fleece sleepsuits and bung one over her pj's when she goes to bed. Odd time have just put a vest and fleecesleepsuit on her.

Bad mummy alert - hattie will not settle without a pillow in her cot and not a baby pillow but a proper pillow. She has had one for the last 3 nights and has slept almost soundly from 6-6 so sod it shes keeping it!!

laughalot · 26/10/2007 14:41

Lauren curls her blanket into a ball and uses that as a pillow

theUrbanDevil · 26/10/2007 15:56

are they not supposed to have pillows then?? Z has had a pillow in his cot from about 7 months (whenever we moved him back into our room) cause he used to sleep on mine anyway, so i figured he'd be ok with one in his cot...

i went to Ikea today to buy a box with a lid on for all his nappy stuff that lives in our bedroom. saw an awesome changing table there, but it was £85! maybe next time eh?

Lizzzombie · 26/10/2007 16:52

Hi everyone! Just got back from Hastings.
The old town part there is lovely, lots of gorgeous shops. The town centre is just normal...but they have a big New Look - with baby clothes! The boys selection as usual was no way as fab as the girls section. Really lovely bits for girls. ! x

Lizzzombie · 26/10/2007 18:47

omg omg omg omg omg
hyperventilate

I WANT IT! But its for 2-4 year olds!

2HappyFrighteningPeople · 26/10/2007 20:15

Man I am sick of this redesign thingy! I hit F5 because someone said that was how to see the festive smilies, and now every single smiley has a stupid hat on and I cna't get rid of it. I went back to MN classic, but it seems to only want to stay at 10 posts per page, but then won't allow me to go back a page (because I'm on MN classic). And it doesn't seem to remember my posts so if I look at threads I'm on, it comes up with 0 messages. Grmph. Seriously annoyed.

Sorry to hear about all the D&V. Am hoping it doesn't head this way, ds1's never had a D&V bug yet and I really don't fancy him having one.

ds2 sleeps in a grobag. Sometimes it's really cold and I try putting a blanket on as well, but he normally crawls out and gets cold again, so ends up in bed with me - and there's me really wanting to get him into a room of his own

2HappyFrighteningPeople · 26/10/2007 20:16

And scrabulous isn't working

Oh - but hang on, the smilies have gone back to normal (except for the ones that people have intentionally made festive)!! Yay! How'd that happen?!

(Still isn't remembering what threads I've posted on, though )

Now DD has it. Damn. My hands are raw from scrubbing and tea-tree. Sigh.

looshkin · 26/10/2007 21:00

Hello all just thought I would pop my head around the virtual door and say hi. I was thinking it was about 12 months since I joined MN and have looked up some of the old posts. Sorry to hear about all the bugs going around at the moment certainly most of the babaies in my mums and toddlers group are either coughing with green snotty candles or nastiness the nappy end. I had my first day back at work today which was fine but dh and ds ended up having lunch at the surgery with me which was lovely.

LOL at all the conversations re tidying eandh is a woman after my own heart and I too now have a set of cleaning stuff upstairs and have a new calendar .

Lizz hope the job manages to sort itself out and you can make use of the nursery place next year - ds really loves it now and gets to do all the paiting and eating sand he wants.

2H the boobie milk conversation the other day still has me laughing along with the thought of ds1 feeding his toys bless him - hope your cousin is doing better.

UD good to hear Z is doing well and my ds makes more use of my pillow than I do - the cat has the other half and I have a thin strip in the middle

RGee I think my cats have been taking lessons from yours and have really notched up a few 'good kills' my poor dining room carpet. Also good to hear the northern girls (vino et al)doing well (I am a huddersfield lass) - is it Trintyrhino who was hudds as well??

Wilkie skinny jeans and then some glad you are feeling better but LOL re pooing.

JodieG - how are you all doing you have had a real run of bad luck. I am still BF ds - he is still steadfastly refusing all other fluids so he is a dry shrivelled prune by the time he gets back from nursery (he won't even take EBM) I hoping it will dawn on him that liquids are good and not the enemy needless to say my mother is a little mortified. DS is also not sleeping through which mum does blame on the BF and lack of routine and the co-sleeping she may well be right but we much rather go with the flow.

PCF yay re tooth

I am going to post this before I lose the whole lot with all this re-designing of MN stuff

Any news from galum recently.

looshkin · 26/10/2007 21:08

Poor MrsC hope the bug settles in the next 24hrs there really is nothing else ofr it but to ride it out

2H just spoken to AB and looking forward to xmas nosh - I understand ds1&2 were on best behaviour yesterday so hoorah .

Shimmer how's the work going??

I know I have missed lots of people but dh trying to keep up with the tranmere rovers match online so keeps on flicking the scores up which is most annoying.

Ooh dh just tempted me with chocolate and west wing

loosh

WeeWitchyWilkie · 27/10/2007 09:22

CHALLENGE FOR YOU!!

I am project managing the Christmas Drive for Bacardi and the conference this year which I am attending is James Bond Theme. Our room has an oriental theme (Man with the Golden Gun) and I need some kind of chinese style outfit to wear as the secretary. ANY IDEAS??? The conference is on 15th November so I need to get moving...

2HappyFrighteningPeople · 27/10/2007 09:26

Hey Loosh, was going to phone you last night, but figured you might be going to bed early after first day back....but you weren't, you were MNing! Did AB tell you ds1 tried to leave with them and go to their house?? I was tempted to just let him...

Rubbish night last night, ds2 just wuold not sleep. He never slept yesterday either - and this is the boy who normally gets 3 hours in daytime naps (yes, I know, you all hate me ). I think he's on speed or something. Anyway, he must have passed it to me as I told dh I was going back to bed this morning (my second lie-in since ds2 was born) but I couldn't get back to sleep either

Meant to say yesterday, bunnyhunny, glad you're still around. You don't have to do personals every time, you could just post endless streams of rubbish, like I do !! I saw LTH on a thread yesterday - is her computer fixed?

Hope all the tummies are feeling better today. ds1 has got another cold.

2HappyFrighteningPeople · 27/10/2007 09:31

Awwwwwwwww.....ds1 just ran up to me, grabbed my legs and said "I love you Mummy"! He's only said it once or twice before, and only once spontaneously (rather than after I've said I love you to him).

Shimmer · 27/10/2007 14:26

Hmmmmm i've just won a baby einstein dvd on ebay for 99p!!! Horray! But only just seen that the seller wants paying by postal order or bankers draft! I've always used paypal in the past Anyone know how these things work???

eandh · 27/10/2007 15:19

aaarghhhhhhhhhhhh ellie is throwing up everywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MrScarRot · 27/10/2007 15:26

So was DD, eah, all last night. Luckily I terrified her into aiming for a bowl after the first mishap, that was thankfully not on a carpet.

It's grim isn't it. She's been asleep all day. Is this thing sweeping the country then?

MrScarRot · 27/10/2007 15:27

don't know about bankers draft, Simmer, but you buy a postal order from the PO for slightly more than the value I think.

eandh · 27/10/2007 15:58

she threw up on my mum and dads new carpet and then we came home and shes made the bowl/loo each time, shes asleep on sofa now, going to wake her at 5 and gove her bath and clean pj's and see if she wants some toast and fingers crossed she sleeps tonight and Hattie doesnt catch it. How long should you leave it before ringing Drs re fluids as she won't drink water/juice as shes petrified shes going to be sick again

WeeWitchyWilkie · 27/10/2007 16:00

Oh no EAH - nightmare.

So far in my family: sister, BIL, DTs, sister's MIL, Mum, Dad, PIL, Me, DH, J, BF, BF's DH, BF's DS have all had it. It must be sweeping the country.

Must go, J is currently crushing a malted milk biscuit into my expensive leather dining chairs.......
