foxensteinscreature · 19/10/2007 20:23

Diva was it today????

[clueless emoticon]

Muppet - No AF yet, just 8 days of pmt so far - incl one neg PG test . I think I did feel the ovulation about two and a half weeks ago - hence the test

Kitty - OK that would be fab. Will e-mail you for your address again as I've lost it. I will have 3 DCs with me - shall we bring our own picnic then and we could have an indoor picnic? What would you like us to bring? Let me know

Piffle - oh poor you - hard isn't it? Do you ever feel like a slave? I often feel like a slave but just don't know where to buy one nowadays? Anyone know where I can by an Italian Stallion-like slave?

Calliween · 19/10/2007 21:27

Diva - SO sorry missed the hen night. I'm actually away at the moment, seeing my millions of relatives in Scotland and we had a load of them around last night. I was hoping your hen would be tonight, but never mind. Have a fabby day tomorrow, thinking of you, and hope the weather keeps up for it (that's assuming it's been nice there too).

Hello everyone else, sorry for all sick children, see you again later next week.

spongecake · 19/10/2007 22:43

whats this snufflebabe? where do you get it? my baby sounds awful and he is now coughing. he has also given up proper food and cries for bf all the time. am very stressy right now.

diva, sorry missed your hen night. really wish you well for your wedding and hope it all goes well. did you buy a special nightie for your wedding night i didn't (took so long to get pins out of hair nearly slept in dress)

is it me or is fb really clunky? think its me

blimey sorry will get off or will drag you all down.

Piffle · 19/10/2007 22:49

oh god dd has just started throwing up again - she had this on monday
ds loads better
please tell me Finn will be protected by mighty breastmilk, pray for me that I don't get it either...

I'm so sick of seeing sick

muppet sympathies

Diva love for tomorrow xxxxxxxxxx

foxensteinscreature · 19/10/2007 22:53

Hi Callie

[hugs] Sponge - hope he gets better

Piffle - DD had this vomiting bug and was poorly for 2 weeks, but Monti was fine, so hopefully Finn will be protected through all those super immune thingies in your milk. BTW DS1 had it too and was only sick once. I think DD was very run down. Hope your LO's get better soon - are they on half term for a week now?

Piffle · 19/10/2007 22:56

yeah half term here now thank god
but dd has been ill for two weeks already
poor little lambchopsicle
first of all chest cold and high temp, finally bettr for school on monday, one day and promptly caught the tummy bug, went back finally on frday came home from school at lunch crying from tiredness... fine today, appetite returning, still had 3 hr nap mind you...
cannot figure it out at all
she always gets things worse than anyone, it's her birthday on monday and she has tons of kids coming to her party, am hoping that she is ok for that

foxensteinscreature · 19/10/2007 23:07

Piff - it soundslike what my DD had - off and on illness, total exhaustion and sporadic vomming. Much worse in the evenings.

Try and get your DD to have a nice relaxed restful day B4 her party so she has all her energy. Will she be 5?

Piffle · 19/10/2007 23:24

Yep it's her 5th she is little miss popular school - I think being little and vulnerable (and well cute and happy too I guess ) mean the other kids all really have taken to her - therefore the RSVP rate is very high I think 18/20 are coming
I'd expected fall out of about 50% given half term...

Ahh so she could be on and off then and so could ds1...
oh that's shite news as you can see from below he is the worst at being ill...

Rosyspookily · 20/10/2007 09:09

Piffle I hope your dd is well for her party -my dd was at a 5th birthday party on friday. I always have to hover about nearby armed with epipen and feel all aukward but gratefull that she can join in with her friends. They went to see ratatouioeoeoeo...what you call it.
Her birthday is in January and she is full of ideas for her party, she thinks it might be snowing and they can make snowangels and a snowman

Spongecake hope things settle soon. I've been using vick and Karvol capsules on me and Hasan to help with the sniffles.

All my kids have disgusting snotty noses and awful coughs...no vomitting though touch wood (pats head)

Bethoo, when I had my first son (many moons ago) I felt as you do now. Over the years I've realised how driven I have been to have my children.
Now I feel driven to provide my children with a 'daddy' so I'm wondering how to get my 'stud' to join me with the parenting ....all ideas gratefully received.

foxensteinscreature · 20/10/2007 10:14

Bethoo no you don't sound dull at all. I think its th simple thngs in life which make us happy. I've been much happier since I had the DCs - its difficult to feel lonely when you have kids in the house. You are so lucky having everything within walking distance too!!

Rsy - not sure what to suggest regarding yur DH? A very large butterfly net? wink]

Piffle - sorry I didn't mean to give you bad news - I think my DD had itworse than most as she's just started reception nd is very run down. Has your DD just started reception too? I think your DD is 9 month older than mine (mine is 5 in July)

foxensteinscreature · 20/10/2007 10:20

Montias up for 90 minutes between 2am and 3.30am In the end I had to give him inant Nurofen, Calpol AND a bottle of formula!!! He could believe it when he got the formula - looked very pleased with himself - specially as the bottle had handles so he could hold it himself! He gulped it down and fell asleep for 5 hours!!! I think he must be gowing througha growth spurt 'cos he seemed starving!

foxensteinscreature · 20/10/2007 13:43

OK does anyone want any Size 16 Boden/Monsoon clothes ?

Some are unworn, many hardly worn. Lots of snuggly winter things e.g. plum baby cord velvet trimmmed long skirt, plum velvet slouchy flares, Dusty Red linen every day A line skirt. Let me know as I having a clear out and the are in the direction of the charity bag atm

Would need to collect from SW London

kittywitch · 20/10/2007 18:10

Just poping in quickly as I too have a household full of poorly kids, ronnie is screaming all the time, coiughing and full of snot, clara had been really ill for well over a week and now the two older girls are coming down with it. ds1 is getting over it and ds2 has started to cough the cough

Hugs to all those fellow suffering mothers xxxx
Fixy I'll email you

kittywitch · 20/10/2007 18:12

fixy?

foxensteinscreature · 20/10/2007 19:16

Fixy

Kitty its my hotmail address: [email protected] (not the onetel one)

Sorry to hear your DCs are all sick Kitty

Piffle · 20/10/2007 23:02

Oh Kitty it's when they're all sick at once you regret having more than one child
Thankfully mine seem to be on the mend
but now I have a sore throat...
Foxy if you have any tops I'm 16 top due to sunstantial norkage

Mossy · 21/10/2007 15:43

So sorry to all of those with poorly dcs at the moment. Hope they all make a swift recovery!!

Bertie's cold is getting better - albeit slowly - isn't breastmilk meant to be full of magic faerie "get well soon" dust or something? Well it doesn't seem to be working particularly quickly! Kept me up last night for a few hours.

Sponge the snuffle babe is like vicks but for babies, you can get it in Boots, I think you can even get it in the Asda.

Foxy - Fixy! - I would love your clothes. I am size sixteen and have never owned anything from Boden or for that matter Monsoon and would love to. Except I don't live anywhere near you. Oh well!

Bethoo you don't sound dull at all. I've done my clubbing days and all that... and now it's time to join a different kind of club. The one where, if you get ten minutes to yourself upstairs to put the washing away, it counts as "me time".

Rosy... yes, a fishing net... or why not try this? Have him off sick from work for a few weeks at home getting under your feet, and see if you still feel the same afterwards.

So fed up with mil at the moment, she is doing my swede. Keeps imperculiating the standards of housework here. And then when I went to shitegarden's wedding she rang me at about half past five, just when I'd got back, on my mobile phone to say, "just wanted to check you were okay," which sounds nice until she then said, "because I imagined you getting lost or having a problem with a train and phoning me for a lift home from Preston or some other such place". I have never asked her for a lift anywhere, ever. I have been using public transport on my own for about twenty years ffs.

And if I really was totally up shit creek, I have about three friends who have cars who I would phone and ask nicely for a lift before I even thought about asking mil.

Anyway. Shitegarden's wedding was absolutely lovely. Her and her dp - now dh of course - looked absolutely gorgeous, shitegarden had the most beautiful dress and her dh had a shirt to match, both in purple / blue crushed velvet. And the dcs all looked lovely, they're all adorable actually. And despite what she says about "asbo boy" and all that they were incredibly well behaved.

Her dd1 is very maternal, she seems much older than she actually is. She at various points took Bertie off to the dance floor for a bit of a boogie and I forgot he was in the hands of a child... lovely, all of them.

But my camera batteries ran out. So I'm hoping shitegarden has some photos of the day to post here as I only have one that's actually turned out .

Journey was a bit of a bugger but Bertie was fine with it, he's used to silly journeys on public transport by now!!

kittywitch · 21/10/2007 21:00

Oh Mossy, so very glad they had a good wedding. I'm very that you got to go. I would have loved to have been there to meet SG and her brood.
Have you forgiven your mil yet for siding against you when your dh was playing up?
it's great that your dh is back to his old self. Let's hope they can sort out his eye soon.
I have sick kids day from hell here. I'm going to take dd3 to the dr's tomorrw, I'm certain she has a chest infection now.
I'm poorly but there's not a lot I can do about that

LunarScream · 21/10/2007 21:25

Piffle - fetched the rest of the peek-a-blocks back from my parents today, so if you have a look which ones you've already got I'll sort out some different ones for you. 10 blocks just goes into the next price bracket to post, so 9 blocks will work out less per block. How does 9 blocks for £4 delivered sound? That's a bit less than they seem to sell for on Ebay - but no fees to pay of course.

Rosyspookily · 21/10/2007 22:07

great to hear how the wedding went. awwwww

foxensteinscreature · 22/10/2007 09:47

Mossy your post made me LOL!!

Lovely to hear about Diva's wedding

bethoo · 22/10/2007 10:47

Mossy - tell me about it. i put little man down in his cot at 8 and whether he is awake or not i buggar off downstairs and watch CSI! At the moment though like last night he was up every hour shuffling all over the bed so i did not get much sleep! he seems to be more awake at night now as the other night he was banging on his little crab that plays tunes at 4 in the morning. he was leaning down the bed pressing it within arms reach the little buggar!

kiwibella · 22/10/2007 11:48

grrr... Kate was up hourly too Bethoo. Funny thing just wanted a hug and went straight back to sleep with her head nuzzled in my neck. Talk about exhausting.

Day 1 of half-term and I am reminded that I LOVE BEING HOME. Again, wondering what I am doing working.

Kitty, things don't sound too good at your place. I think we should postpone Wednesday - let you all catch up and save me from your bugs .

Glad that you had a fabbo time at the wedding Mossy. I'm really pleased that it was a magical day for her and dh .

Little girl screaming and big girl ignoring her... joy!!

bethoo · 22/10/2007 11:57

kiwibellaq- why do you think they are behaving like this? i am gettign max half hour sleep at a time!
