Bethoo, relationships are so complex and they grow and develop or wither away. Keeping the options open for now seems to be a good idea. You would probably get various views if you started a thread but it is your business and if you love your dp then I hope he proves worthy of you.

Rosylily · 28/11/2007 14:23

do I sound bossy and grumpy? Oh I'm tired today! I have a headache from lack of sleep...would love to curl up in bed. I need a robot me (nice version) to take over all my jobs.

DeathBySnooSnoo · 28/11/2007 16:58

bethoo-i wouldnt class it as being unfaithful as it doesnt sound like you are having a serious, committed relationship with your dp.dont get me wrong,i would be one of the first to judge somebody who was cheating on a loving, responsible partner who had never wronged them-thats just nasty and disrespectful-but when somebody has p**ed you about and wont make a commitment then you should just go ahead and live your life the way you want.thats what i think, anyway.

fitfox · 28/11/2007 18:01

Hi everyone, just whizzing past on my way to cooking dinner

Hi TheBlonde (waves)

Bethho have you met someone else?

muppetisacat · 28/11/2007 19:00

Bugger... Samuel has just found and unwrapped the other dc's pressies from their grandparents!

fitfox · 28/11/2007 22:20

Muppet - bless!!! He'll really enjoy Christmas, with all that wrapping paper - so will they all eh?

spongecake · 28/11/2007 22:34

snoosnoo i am sorry i got the wrong end of the stick am now convinced you are a creative person, art etc?

my dad is really ill and doc suggested that as he can walk the 2 steps from his bed to the loo he can get to surgery. she suggested that my mum (72, very frail) could put him in a wheelchair and push it. am so ..mum doesn't want to upset doc by sticking up for herself. or the horrible witches guarding the docs masquerading as receptionists. why do nice people have to wait and pushy nasty ones get to the front and get what they want? rant RANT

hello all, moresorry

fitfox · 28/11/2007 22:38

IKWYM Sponge - can you talk to the Hossie maybe? Or have you any siblings who could have a word.
My Granda got treated very badly when in Chase Farm Hosital - just don't get me started on this on....

bethoo · 29/11/2007 10:07

oh dear spongecake - i hope it all sorts itself out with your dad. maybe you should be nasty and rant and then maybe something may be done. it is always the pushy people who get what they want so i think it may be your turn to be that pushy person!

bethoo · 29/11/2007 10:10

Fitfox - kind of but it is not serious, we just enjoy each others company. he is from South Africa (lovely accent!!! dribble) but it is purely platonic, i admit i am tempted as he is gorgeous but i am trying to figure out how i feel about dp. we have been together 2 years and we have never been out for a meal, not once ot the cinema, in fact when we do go out shopping he moans and i pay 90% of the time for petrol and the car parking then i have ot buy his other child her dinner!! so you can see where i see our future!!!! sat in front of the telly while he sleeps with a joint burnign in the ash tray!!

muppetisacat · 29/11/2007 10:35

blimey bethoo... he's clearly not one for romance then? You've described what i thought only happened once you've been together forever... surely in the first couple of years of being together is when you go out LOADS etc???

Perhaps that's just me...

What will he be like when you're old and grey and REALLY bored of each other???

I hear South Africa is very beautiful in places

bethoo · 29/11/2007 10:46

i know Muppet! now you know why i am tempted by a fit young man who wants to take me out! the thing about dp is money, i am not one for money but when you find yourself paying for everything, food to eat at his house, his tobacco, his daughters food etc, he must have had a grand out of me and has no qualms about asking me for money though i oinly work part time, he pays nothign towards Hayden yet he is always going on about how much money he 'should'be taking home in a week yet i never see any of it! i mean for petrol money and to fill his fridge! i have no idea how he spends his money, sounds like my hubby!!

TheBlonde · 29/11/2007 10:52

Bethoo - the not going out sounds rubbish and as for you picking up the tab all the time you need to knock that on the head

Rosylily · 29/11/2007 11:03

Hi everyone

Spongecake sorry to hear your Dad's not well and things are so difficult

Bethoo, does your dp know he has a bit of competition? Must admit the gorgeous toyboy sounds much more attractive than your dp. You are young and gorgeous and your dp is unattentive...there's going to be trouble for him I think

Muppet lol at Samuel unwrapping the pressies

I managed a better sleep last night and so feel human again today. Still tired and lazy but not feeling ill with tiredness like yesterday.

It's a fresh sunny day today which I love at this time of year. Better get out and walk in it later so I don't get s.a.d. syndrome!

Piffle · 29/11/2007 11:46

bethoo do a list of + and a list of -
then re examine things
FWIw I think he sounds like too immature and selfish and uncommitted for you
And not mention bloody dull.....
Stoners never want to go anywhere- it is a great demotivator...
You deserve to be out and about lots!

DeathBySnooSnoo · 29/11/2007 21:27

sponge-you have to be assertive with doctors and their dragons i find.you know your dad had the right to a home visit, next time just keep what you know is a right in your mind and stay calm yet refuse to acknowledge anything they say untill they say what you want to hear

bethoo-i thought 'platonic' refered to friendships where there was no sexual attraction?.please tell me your (d)p doesnt smoke weed in the house when hayden is there?.piffle is right,potheads/stoners are all lazy twats who never have the energy to do anything, and never have any money cos they spend it all on weed(which i believe has gone up a fair bit since my day).

dh is playing tomb raiderand its making me irrationally pissed off.surely a woman that athletic should be muscular and flat-chested?why do all computer games seem to be designed by sexist perverted arseholes?

trixabelle · 30/11/2007 14:52

Mossy · 30/11/2007 18:11

Trixabelle! Hello! Oh I'm so glad you're okay, I often wondered about where you were and how you were doing. You were due on the same date as me iirc. Although I was quite late!!

Bethoo... he doesn't sound like a fantastic catch your dp I must admit... is he a bit like the comfortable old slippers? You know where he's a bit rubbish and doesn't do much for you but at the same time, it's really easy to slip into.

Hello everyone else!! Sorry, I've been here but I've been posting loads on the bf threads so sorry if I've been neglecting you lot!

Will come back tomorrow and properly catch up with everyone... about to have my tea now!!

(finding myself saying to her "that's mine- give that back" in a sleep-befuddled way, as she holds on with both hands in proprietal manner)

fitfox · 30/11/2007 19:31
