i thought what the hell when i came on this site today! i have managed to change it back though i cant seem to look on the previous pages as it just does not repond when i click! nevermind!

where have i been not to know that Jay is halfway through a pregnancy! Congrats.

my boss has gone out so i am in the office alone, done all the work and eaten half a shop!

little man still wakes up through the night so i am getting used to broken sleep now!

should i be concerned tht since i have me time now that i put little man to bed i am drinking to relax?

kittywitch · 26/10/2007 11:05

bethoo, it's ok, I now drink as a matter of survival

bethoo · 26/10/2007 11:53

kitty - are you sure or are we both heading to alcoholism??? i drink most nights and i drink alot of vodka, not a wine person really. and i do it alone! isn't that a first sign? i do joke as i think there is nothing wrong but my dp finds it worrying!

bethoo · 26/10/2007 12:08

we all seem to have lost our profile pages! hope they are put back on!

foxensteinscreature · 26/10/2007 12:28

Kitty/Scarey - sorry you are feeling so rough today

Kitty - your DH and mine were seperated at birth - except that mine drinks coffe and watches football

He has taken to spending long periods of time lying down with his eyes shut during the day as well

I am up half the night with Monti and manage to stay awake all day, yet he is "sooo tired" !

Rosy - if it was summer I'd say yes - err how far is your house from Dublin then? [very tempted emoticon]. Does it have heating?

kittywitch · 26/10/2007 12:53

bethoo, I reckon I have 2 1/2 glasses of vino a night (pub size glass). What bothers me ( a bit) is not how much I drink per se but that I want a drinky every evening.

Every day I think "I won't drink tonight" but it gets to 9 pm and I want a little something. I gpo to bed at 10.
I don't get drunk but I could easily down alot more in a sitting than I do. I know that I would feel bad the next day though.

Dp says the limit for us ladies has been raised to 21 units a week. Thay makes me ok, I think it's prob still the boring 14 units though .

What I really wish is that I just didn't care.

Perhaps I am becoming a middle class "hazzardous drinker"

bethoo · 26/10/2007 12:58

kitty - i do not get drunk as i train monday to thursday but it is hard not to get pissed as i think if i did not work i probably would! now that is scarey! i think it may have something to do with not been able to during pregnancy and then at the early months when he was up every half hour or so. note to oneself that no longer a care free teenager!!!! all i think about is can i go without?? boy i sound worse than it is!

kittywitch · 26/10/2007 13:12

bethoo, I said to dp the other day that I've spent the last 10 years being pregnant. I've had 6 kids and in between those 6 miscarriages. i've spent many an evening drinking cadbury's highlights, going to parties and wartching others get legless.

I agree with you that it's most likely a reaction to that.
Not a very sensible one. admitedly!. But I reckon I've saved my liver for 10 years!

When dp is asked if I'm having any more kids he says I'm not because now I want to drink wine

When I found out I was expecting Ronnie I was horrified that I would have to go through yet another 10 months of abstinence.

What a saddo I am.

kittywitch · 26/10/2007 17:41

also I've managed to post some pics of our meet up on FB. I've put them in the March '07 group, Sorry there are so many of my son

Rosyspookily · 26/10/2007 18:42

och the pictures are fabulous! The babies are all so gorgeous...makes me even more sorry to have missed it. But lovely to see the piccys thanks Kitty.

Foxy there's gas heating. It's a new build which needs tiled before it can be rented out. We used to live there so it's still full of our junk I think it is about an hour from Dublin, 40 mins from Dublin airport. I don't know when dh will get round to sorting it.

foxensteinscreature · 26/10/2007 23:31

I can't find anybosy's profiles any more!! Any geeks out there who can help me?

Kitty are they on you profile

Rosy I always have lovely thoughts of Ireland - DH used to live there and I stayed a month with him in Count Clare (plus lots of other visits to various places)

Have you heard of Fintan Vallelly? - DH lived in his house

Bethoo/Kitty - I know many middle class couples who share a bottle of wine each night - that is 3 units each. IKWYM about fancing a drink - that is me from 5PM each night!! I rekon if itabout 14 units a week or under - nothing to worry about

foxensteinscreature · 26/10/2007 23:34

Oops just read your post again Kitty- will go and have a nosey on FB

foxensteinscreature · 27/10/2007 00:06

Kitty - have just realised, to my horror, we're not yet "friends" On FB!!! Have asked to be friends

foxensteinscreature · 27/10/2007 00:07

foxensteinscreature · 27/10/2007 11:16

Mornin all - where is everyone?

kittywitch · 27/10/2007 12:15

ds2's cut his head open AGAIN. he's always doing this. Blood everywhere, Lucky I have my 'compeed liquid bandage' handy for these very occurances

foxensteinscreature · 27/10/2007 13:17

kittywitch · 27/10/2007 14:00

kittywitch · 27/10/2007 14:01

eidsvold · 27/10/2007 15:00

Not much else happening here - the same old same old.

glad to hear the meet up went well.

Piffle - film crew?? have I missed something??

kittywitch · 27/10/2007 16:40

Eids "happy anniversey"

Piffle, your drinking has made me feel heaps better .
So what's your ds1 doing for tv. then? Sounds exciting!

Mossy · 27/10/2007 18:31

Happy anniversary Eids!

It was dh & my anniversary last week funnily enough, four years married, another four together. Ahh.

All you lot with your drinking, you alkies! I normally have a glass of wine in the evening, but I don't like to drink too much 'cos I still have Bertie in the bed with me... actually in the bed with dh and I now. He's given in

All been very poorly here, Bertie is over the sick but now has the runs every single nappy. He is such a titchy thing anyway that I get so paranoid. Dh and I have had it too, last night I was vomiting blood - nice - and then dh got it this morning... horrible, at one point we both thought, "this is more than a bug, have we ecoli or something?" it was that bad.

So if two grown adults think that, what must poor Bertie have been going through?

Shitegarden texted me, little Elsie has bronchiolitis and is in hospital for observation puts my family's illnesses into perspective.

Anyway I have just managed to keep down a cup of coffee, and a heap of mashed potato (couldn't think of owt else easy on the tummy) so I'm off to bath Bertie as he is covered in poo. Nice.

Will have a look on FB for your meetup photos

Mossy · 27/10/2007 18:33

Oh I missed that, yes Piffle what's your ds1 on telly for and when?

OP posts:
Piffle · 27/10/2007 19:24

oh poor diva she must be going mad, poor little Elsie.

Sounds torrid Mossy, glad you're out the other side somewhat, hope Berties botty firms up soon.

Film crew not for tv tis for a documentary film project for a students MA project about imaginary friends - was advertised on MN a few months ago via media... been really interesting... ds is a natural apparently please let him not become a luvvie
