Piffle · 27/10/2007 19:25

oh and dp and I celebrated 7 years together in September
He must be Mr Right , never managed longer than 16 mths with one man before

kittywitch · 27/10/2007 19:50

Mossy, poor you, Bertie and dh. It's horrible when a baby is ill and they're can't tell you how they are feeling. I remember this time last year that Clara had an awful stomach bug. She had the runs so badly that her bottom was red raw and bleeding. I got no sleep for days.

You get through though, xxx to you all

Please send love and hugs to SG and Elsie, say I'm thinking about them.

foxensteinscreature · 27/10/2007 22:45

[big hugs] to SG and little Elsie

Would be grteful for any news on Elsie - thanks Moss

Piff - hope we get to see DS1 on TV

Congrats Eids!!

Kitty - thanks - what great pictures.

They are all gorgeous aren't they?

eidsvold · 28/10/2007 01:37

piffle agree there - 2 yrs was my limit and we are at 6.

dh and I are off soon to a nice little place in the country 4 lunch so am expressing for dd3.

foxensteinscreature · 28/10/2007 11:35

Yeah me too. 18 months was my limit and we are at 17 years!

Eids have lovely time

Mossy · 28/10/2007 14:57

Hi all, just to let you know Shitegarden texted me and Elsie is now allowed back home. So I bet she is really relieved.

Kitty that sounded awful, poor you and poor Clara. It is hard this parenting thing when you watch your baby be ill, hard enough with just one to look after, you should probably get a medal by now!

Omg, just got a message from my Dad on FB, he wants to meet up... arrrgh!!

foxensteinscreature · 28/10/2007 15:37

Phew re. Elsie she is on the mend now. Thanx for the update

Mossy what do you think you will do about your Dad's request???

Mossy · 28/10/2007 18:18

Well, I replied and said I'd be happy to meet up with him but I'm not ready to meet my Mum or sister just yet. Still waiting for his reply.

The fireworks are going off already around here, it sounds like bloody Iraq and Merlin is lying in the corner dribbling and panting and shaking; they terrify him. It seems that bomby night lasts longer and longer each year.

hi everyone... I have to admit that I can't figure out this new-look site.

I am sorry to hear that so many are all struggling with illnesses. It's not fun. Kate has had two power-spews today too but she is happy enough in herself.

Poor SG and Elsie ... I'm pleased that they are heading home and I hope that this means she is doing ok.

Wow, Mossy - you have had so many mountains to climb this year. I hope that things progress as you want with your father. I am sure that you must have a gazillion emotions.

Kitty, Foxy, Evenhope - it was lovely to meet you all last week. I am off to check out the photos next . They are such cute babies and lovely mummies.

Last night, I hosted a black tie event at NZ House for our Maori group's 10th anniversary. It was a fabulous evening and fun to get glammed up. There was lots of dancing and far too much alcohol involved so we haven't felt very flash today.

I love a tipple but I'm not quite up to a daily dose yet!!

bethoo · 29/10/2007 09:46

morning everybody!!!
well little man is teething. he has the two front top ones coming through. weird how they seem to grow from the very top of the gum!
i was good last night and watched CSI without a drink!
having a nightmare at the mo as on the weekend little man shuffled out of the bed into a laundry basket, lucky my bed is low. looks like i am going to have to move my bed so it is against the wall. and he is keeping me awake chewing on my boobs!

foxensteinscreature · 29/10/2007 09:59

It was lovly t meet you o Kiwi- and your lovly DDs

Congrats to Bethoo's little man and his forthcoming teeth. Monti keeps me awake all night too Bethoo, wants to hang of my boobs constantly

foxensteinscreature · 29/10/2007 10:00

Mossy - do you think yo can meet him on his own? Did he agree not to tell your Mum about you making contact?

bethoo · 29/10/2007 12:21

Foxy - it is hard to sleep now what with razors knawing my nips and the fact that i am scared of waking up and he has fell out of bed again!

where are all the girls today?

foxensteinscreature · 29/10/2007 14:29

Bethoo - Is very quiet on here isn' it?

Monti has two razors too. I have started feeding lying down as he wakes me hourly, but the latch isn't great and those razors dig in sometimes. Its a new type of sore nip to the one I had during the first two weeks of feeding

He started pulling himself up today!! He kind of pulls himself half up then gets all scared and cries out for help.

I blame Kiwi's Kate, as she is crawling and pulling herself upright...she's an older woman you see, a bad influence on my son

kittywitch · 29/10/2007 16:19

Hello all

Mossy, hope you get some positive dialogue going with your dad. it would be nice if bertie could know his grandparents, but only obvioiusly if you trust them to be half decent ones!!

bethoo , well done on your t-total night!

Foxy, well done to monti, he'll be off before you know it.
Ronnie now spends a lot of his time perched on his tiptoes and hands, he does a couple of crawly, shuffly things and can a least gert himself back up to sitting once hos lying down.

Took the kids out for the first time for over a week, nothing special, a local children's farm park. They were (only apparent after we got there) still rather poorly, coughing, sniffing abd generally looking deathly pale.
When will this bloody cold bug thing go away?
I have keep mine at bay with liberal snorts of Vicks first defence!

foxensteinscreature · 29/10/2007 16:40

Kity was our school back today? I dread the school run but love having a routine and some space to myself!

Just cooking an ultra unhealthy meal for the DCs - chicken satay and chicken noodles (all junk food - not fresh)

Have loads of fresh veg but just can't be arsed cooking it today

Mossy · 29/10/2007 17:45

Well... I'm meeting my Dad on Friday in a café in St Helens. Along with Bertie of course. He says he understands why I don't want to meet my Mum or sister just yet, too (I was nervous of telling him but it was all right).

I'm actually quite excited about it.

Kitty sorry you're still feeling poorly. Your Ronnie is overtaking Bertie, he still can't crawl or do anything like that. He can sit up for long periods unaided but can't get himself there in the first place.

I just blame the laminate flooring - don't like to put him down on it. Or something like that!

Bethoo, two top teeth, wow! Bertie gnaws at my nips too sometimes, although he is a bit better than he was. He only has the bottom two.

Kiwibella is Kate okay today? I hope she hasn't gotten the same bug we had, it was really quite frightening.

Foxy you bad lady you with your junk food!

Hey, dh today actually put Bertie to sleep by himself for two naps... I felt dreadful the first time though, Bertie's so used to me feeding him to sleep that he screamed and screamed, but I didn't feel too guilty as dh was cuddling him!! I want to get dh used to getting him to sleep as I'm fed up of doing the evening shift by myself. Don't mind the night shift, but the evenings annoy me when I put him to bed at seven... then he wakes at half nine just when I'm in the middle of watching something on the telly...

kittywitch · 29/10/2007 17:53

Nah, foxy, bleeding "INSECT" day AGAIN

foxensteinscreature · 29/10/2007 18:32

Our school tagged Insect day onto the end of the summer hols and there is not another one until May, which is quite annoying as I want to use that day to visit another school in the west country (in the place where we might live if we did move out of London IYKWIM) - so I have to wait ages

Mossy - your Dad obviously really wants to see you and meet Bertie - that's really nice isn't it? I bet it made him so happy when you got in touch to tell him about Bertie. Do you think you could ever cope with seeing your Mum again? Are you worried she might have an unhealthy and negative influence?

My family are all totally nutty eccentric. I didn't see my sister for a year 'cos of her wierd behaviour. She hasmild mental health/drink problems and I didn't want the Ds to be influenced be her wierd and ultra selfish behaviour.

Sorry am being a bore...

Is anyone else on here addicted to Ebay?

kittywitch · 29/10/2007 18:59

Oh Foxy, foxy have you got spy cameras buy my computer or what ?

My children make me spend masses of money on ebay, espically in the 'ladies clothing' dept. I have to spend lots of money 'cos I am sad, I never get out and I have got any RL friends anymore (sigh).
I've got nowhere to wear these yummy clothes to but It's SUCH A THRILL

foxensteinscreature · 29/10/2007 20:22

Kitty - yeah me too !!

I just got outbid on something atually and am still smarting .

My life seems to be punctuated atm by dashing over to the PC to place last minute bids on things.

Totally agree about the lack of action in RL being subsituted by rather a lot of action on Ebay

kittywitch · 29/10/2007 20:57

I took a bit of a risk today and upped the bidding on a jigsaw skirt that had 4 mins to go and was only at £10. I kept on bidding higher and higher in a really frenzied and frankly worrying manner .
Anyway clearly someone else was completely barking and was prepared to pay silly money for this, so I pushed the price up a bit and left it.
I made them pay £48 for a secondhand skirt , bet they were well pissed off!!!

Piffle · 29/10/2007 21:55

Hope health is being restored to all ailing, that mothers are calm now that kids are back at school...
Yeah right...
I've given up the demon drink weekdays now... Halo anyone? Not for health naturally, but for vanity, the beer belly on a post natal frame = not good...

Anyway... eBay
Oh me yep 1400 and something feedback, live on there

foxensteinscreature · 29/10/2007 22:11

Piff/Kitty - Its the thrill of the bidding - totally addictive!

LOL at £48 for a 2nd hand skirt - lucky it wasn't you who won it!!
