Peace at last Well, almost .... keep having to go in and out to P, but she'll hopefully settle properly sooooooon, I hope!?

I am just a bit fed up with life atm, can't help it - feel like an ungrateful bitch cos I have a lovely hubby and three beautiful little girls. I am very Blessed. Deary me .....

StealthPolarBear · 26/09/2007 10:33

CD, it's OK to be very happy with one part of your life and stressed or unhappy with another Would you say "OK my foot's fallen off but I am having a good hair day"?
(Hopefully that made you laugh)

LOL Thank you honey!

nappynuttynormabutty · 26/09/2007 11:19

hehehe It made me laugh SPB!

CaptainDippy · 26/09/2007 11:28

Hi NNNB!

nappynuttynormabutty · 26/09/2007 11:31

Morning CD!!!

I had to fill in a feedback form about the council's real nappy initiative this morning (cue me writing a small essay!). Had to laugh tho it asked "Have you bought any more real nappies? If yes, how many?" Me: about 30+. Next question "What brand?" with space for one brand ...cue me filling half the page listing all the nappies I have!

oooggs · 26/09/2007 11:36

dippy - good to see you back and I can totally relate to the roundabout feeling - stop I want to get off. I am having a few out of control feelings and often feel ungrateful that I have been blessed with three healthy children, especially with what my friend is going through. No news on Jack at the mo - will keep you up to date

sleep????????? James snuck in with us about 3pm, Jack up at 6am so I went into James' bed with Jack playing on his mat on the floor. DH had a bad night cos James slept on his side not in the middle so he was fighting for room he was complaining he had a bad night - welcome to my world

CaptainDippy · 26/09/2007 11:43

LOL @ your form filling NNNB - Perhaps they will offer you a job!!? We've got a vacnacy here for a "Parent Nappy Supporter" atm ...... Move to the Sunny South Coast in our Commune by the Sea!!

It is good to know I am not the only one, oooggs! Glad your DH got a little "taste" of "your world" - My DH sleeps a lot more heavily that I do. To be fair, he is good at taking on his fair shre of the "getting up" to "Hug & Plug"! (I have to kick him a few times 1st, mind! )

mammyjo · 26/09/2007 11:45

Morning all.

Oooggs, thinking of poor little Jack. Hope he makes a speedy recovery, cant even imagine what his poor parents must be going through.
Also, happy 6 month birthday to Jack and Erin for Saturday!! I know its early but I was determined not to forget, and you always beat me to it!

CD, hope you feel brighter soon. Any news about the job yet? TBH, we should all be grateful for our healthy babies, but as SPB said, you can be happy with one part of your life, and miserable with another. I feel like I need to shake myself on a regular basis for being such a miserable cow, so you are not alone

Sorry, cant remember any more so I apologise if I have missed anyone out.

mammyjo · 26/09/2007 11:46

Meant to say, made me laugh when SOL was referred to as a drug pusher!!

mammyjo · 26/09/2007 11:49

I missed the Claire Verity thing last night. It was one of things that I was meant to remember to watch. Not surprising I forgot as my memory is hideous. Maybe its a good thing I missed it as it would probably have made me cry.

CaptainDippy · 26/09/2007 11:50

Thanks mammyjo - yes we are all moany old ungrateful wretches, aren't we!!? Deary me!

don't watch if you're feeling down

OP posts:
mammyjo · 26/09/2007 13:01

Did wonder if it would upset me.

AloPesha · 26/09/2007 13:37

It actually was genuinely upsetting. The CV bitch made me very angry but the poor babies being left, abandoned to cry for hours just days old was cruel beyond belief. I'm surprised NSPCC haven't got involved, someone on the other thread mentioned the advert which I'd been thinking about myself - 'Miles no longer cries because he knows noone will come' or something along those lines. If NSPCC advertise that as abuse then CV's methods are too.

Sorry, rant over.

Oooggs and CD i also know the stop the world i want to get off feeling.

SPB - feel free to link my photos again so everyone can see our gorgeous babies!

nappynuttynormabutty · 26/09/2007 13:39

Pesha, that's what I thought of when she was telling them to ignore the baby's crying (that advert)

mammyjo · 26/09/2007 13:45

Oh god, that advert is awful. I feel bad enough when I cant go to F straight away when she cries. Its difficult sometimes if I am sorting out ds, but she would never cry for more than a couple of minutes. Couldnt leave her any longer than was necessary IYKWIM. How were the parents while they were doing this? As far as I am concerned, you build a relationship with your baby by comforting and nurturing. Sounds like this woman is at the complete opposite end of the scale.

mammyjo · 26/09/2007 13:46

OMG, have just fully read your post pesha. Were they really left for hours?

oooggs · 26/09/2007 13:57

'ard eh Katy - oh of course you are a hairy trucker
