thinking of them oooggs, hope he continues getting better

YvieE · 25/09/2007 21:52

SOL- Virtual Hugs to you. I can't comprehend how i'm going to balance work and home - 3 weeks and counting....
Ooogs - Poor Jack. Thinking of him it makes me so sad to think of someone so small going through that amount of pain.
CD - Are you ok
BusywithIzzy - thats a great idea about the BF cushion - was wondering what to do with mine
Maveta - great that N is sitting unaided. Gosh i can't believe they are turning into little people these months have flown by.
Nutty at the veg box will it be third time lucky?

liath · 25/09/2007 21:58

Is anyone else watching channel 4 - don't know whether to cry or throw a brick at the TV, that vile woman is leaving newborn baby to cry

nappynuttynormabutty · 25/09/2007 22:10

Ange - maybe it was just Facebook playing up!

I've been watching that program on ch4. Can't believe the parents that are following CV's "routine". FFS it's a baby, it cries cos it needs something. What if it was ill...they'd just ignore it. She's downright dangerous. I also think the other 2 aren't too bad and even if the parents don't carry on with it they haven't really lost anything...but the ones following CV will have lost all that time they could have spent bonding.

CaptainDippy · 25/09/2007 22:25

Oooggs, about little Jack, please keep us up-to-date.

I'm here, I'm ok.

weeonion · 25/09/2007 22:36

laith and nutty - i watched that programme. awful , terribly sad and downright dangerous. that poor baby - it didnt choose to be on the programme nor for her parents to go with that method.

nappynuttynormabutty · 25/09/2007 22:42

I've complained to ch4 and ofcom. A lot of her advice was against current guidelines and they had no warning or anything

nappynuttynormabutty · 25/09/2007 22:43

Hope you are ok CD. We're all here for you if you want to talk about anything (on and off the board iykwim )

StealthPolarBear · 25/09/2007 22:44

i am venting on other thread
dippy where are you and what's wrong?
nutty good point that the other two haven't lost anything, the CV parents will probably have lost all love and trust from their DCs

morning!
CD hope all is ok today.
Hoping that Jack is heading out of the woods, too oooggs - poor wee thing. What a nightmare for the parents.

CaptainDippy · 26/09/2007 07:41

Morning! Think I had a "Stop the world, I want to get off!" moment yesterday. P spent the entire afternoon screaming & I'd just had enough. I am sooooo knackered & worrying about so many things. Sorry guys, life's just really tough atm.

StealthPolarBear · 26/09/2007 07:47

morning dippy
glad you're sounding a bit brighter...a little bit!
how much sleep did you have?
do you want to share your worries? can we help? if not, can you get advice from anyone in rl?

sleepbabysleep · 26/09/2007 07:48

Oh CD, sorry it´s all a bit much at the moment. Hope you can find some time for yourself in there.. x

Oooggs, how awful for Jack´s parents, hope he is safely home soon.

Rubbish night again here last night. Going to try a night without the gro-bag, am suspicious that he finds it restricting and wakes himself up kicking against it. Also really not sure I can properly regulate his temperature in it I HATE NOT SLEEPING!

Eddas · 26/09/2007 07:49

CD, hope you're ok, I was having similar feelings last week, that doesn't really help but just want you to know that I know how you feel.

We had a rough night. DS up a billion times and dd coughing too did I actually get any sleep last night off to buy medised and calpol night(well ok maybe just one of them!) I haven't had a cough free night for over a week now and before that ds was playing up on hols so was up loads then too, but he was in our room so not so bad.

Why don't these children want us to sleep? Do they not realise we are nicer if they do

Sexonlegs · 26/09/2007 07:56

Eddas, Tyxilix - irritating night time cough mixture!!!!

[sol creeps back in to her drug pushing den]

Eddas · 26/09/2007 08:00

you make me laugh

You on commission?

Sexonlegs · 26/09/2007 08:04

No commission! Just good stuff from experience!!

StealthPolarBear · 26/09/2007 08:12

sorry to hear everyone is having sleep problems
didn't have muich myself but that was own fault - on here ranting about cv until midnight

SPB - Its gonna take me ages to catch up on that thread isnt it?! During the actual programme was a nightmare trying to watch and read with a new post every 2/3 seconds near enough!

SBS - Dont really know what to suggest about sleep, I've hgad 1 that slept brilliantly, 1 that was awful and woke every 3 hours til he was 8 months, and 1 thats okay and only wakes when genuinely hungry. And as far as I'm aware I've done nothing differently. Just wrote loads rattling on about temp but dont think I was making much sense or that it was necessarily relevant. Will just say I saw on telly yesterday that people sleep better if the room is slightly cool, like hibernating animals she said!

I second the recommendation for tixylix nighttime!

CD - sorry you're having a crappy time I'm with you on that, had slight meltdown myself this morning. Have made a hole in the ceiling from chucking DPs f##ing shoe out the way

Idreamofchocolate · 26/09/2007 09:45

Oooo ooo, not caught up or anything, but wanted to say SWITCH ON CHANNEL 5 RIGHT NOW. Super-inhuman cowbag Clare Verity is on. Get ready to send virtual needles towards her eyes.......

StealthPolarBear · 26/09/2007 09:47

Pesha, is it OK if I link to your picture of D and J on this thread - I created a new thread at the same time as you added the link on the old one so I bet lots of people will have missed it?
