Thank goodness for that then, not sure about colour. Like all of them, like the brown, the navy, the grey. .Like the colours of volo too but the design so much.

The britax is always filthy and I cannot lift the damn thing up.

More cake recipes Luce ?? Too seriously into muffin making (making not eating!) at the mo. Off to look up apple and custard ones xx

Right, off to deal with tiny ....

oooggs · 29/09/2007 18:44

mammyjo, weird isn't it we are both half way to sorting out their first birthdays

why is it that time goes so fast yet half and hour with a screaming baby in the middle of the night feels like an age?

they have dropped nearly all of their bottles only doing 4am ish and 6.30pm ish? should be doing a 2.30pm ish? They are on 3 meals a day, should I be giving them water? I am making sure they are having milky breakfast and at least one milky pudding a day.

please tell me what to do/where I am going wrong - tia

Absolutely NO ironing happens in this house.. to the point where both my iron and ironing board were bought by my mum as she must have thought I didn´t have them because of money rather than just a total lack of necessity. And the cover for the ironing board lost all its elastic and became useless (very mysterious seeing as it never gets used) about 6 months ago and has still never been replaced. So the ironing board just sits there looking naked. LIVE LONGER, DON´T IRON! I like the sound of it, going to try and spread the word

Today has been the climax of our village´s week long fiesta so we dressed N up as a ´trepijador´ (wine maker) and went out to watch the parade. Didn´t watch all of it though as it got a bit hectic and noisy for him after a while. He looked gorgeous though, will post photos as soon as I can be bothered to go find the usb lead for my camera Dh has a gig so has buggered off for the rest of the night and N is sleeping, we´re all decamped to the sitting room, N in travel cot and us on a mattress on the floor because, no joke, these fiestas get noisy and stay noisy til very late at night/early morning (think 4am) and our sitting room has no external walls so we´re nice and quiet in here.

Loads of people come to villages when fiestas are on, it´s like a huge party for allcomers. Last night was ´sopa a la fresca´ (open air supper) so neighbours get together in groups and set tables up in the street (all traffic inside the village is cut off for the night) all properly laid with table cloths and glasses, cups, plates etc. and they decorate their street with palm fronds, streamers, christmas lights etc. There are prizes for the best decorated streets. And then there´s always minstrels dressed in traditional dress walking around playing trad. music. It´s really lovely. We had a wander early evening but mostly missed it cos it kicks off late, maybe next year. Dh spotted some drunk yoofs getting into their car at about 7am but they didn´t drive off, they either passed out inside or thought better and went to find somewhere better to sleep. Drink driving is still a huge problem here, if I´d have seen them I reckon I´d have called the police.

Phew, I need a drink after that monologue

Sorry!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACK AND ERIN!!! 6 months already! wow. I can´t believe how fast it´s going and how much I´ve learnt. Feel like I´ve been on the biggest learning curve of my life! Except it´s more like a neverending hill than a curve

I have a maclaren quest sport and it´s good but I don´t have anything to compare it with. N still, at 5 months, seems a little small for it. I mean, I can use it no problem, but he still looks miles more comfy in his bugaboo, the maclaren is definitely for nipping about and throwing in the boot where the bugaboo is like his 4 x 4..

Pinions · 29/09/2007 19:31

Lol at 4x4 kind of suits .
(And I LOVE ironing at the moment double ).

Just wanted to say to:

Ellie/Gulliver well done on finally getting to your destination, you have most definitely got more patience than I have when travelling as anything over 30 mins for me is pure hell. (Will be wanting detailed reports when you get back .)

And HAPPY 6 MTHS to Leo/Tianna/Lola/Zed/Ffion/Erin/Jack xxx

Where does it go?!?

NorthernLurker · 29/09/2007 20:55

6 month birthdays - it is amazing isn't it? B was born towards the end of April - so I still have a few weeks to go - but it only seems like seconds since she was 12 weeks!

SBS (if I may so abbreviate you)- a fellow Bugaboo owner - I love mine with a passion and agree re the comfort - B seems v happy and I love pushing it. Also got the hang of folding it pretty quick but as I don't use the car during the week don't actually have to fold it much.

Sexonlegs · 29/09/2007 21:08

Hi gang

I am a big Maclaren fan and have the Techno which lies back flat. K looks a bit small in it, but quite happy!

Northern Lurker, when was your lo born?

SBS, sounds like you are having a grand old time.

Cannot believe some of the babes are 6 months already. A big pat on the backs to the mummies for getting half way through the year!

Had a lovely afternoon on the beach. Both K and B have been lovely too, although have given B medised as she is definitely below par. WO, think you are right about that being the problem last night.

Hope everyone is ok and having a lovely evening. xx

Dh worked today so took the kids to the zoo, we had a lovely time and DS1 said what a lovely time he had Then went into Broadmead to take DS1s Nintendo in to be looked at as it just stopped working (after DD threw it in the bath ahem) and had a stroke of luck as they just replaced it with a new one!

Might take the kids on an open top bus tour if its not raining tomorrow.

StealthPolarBear · 29/09/2007 21:34
